She's crying again, so she's still alive, but I'm done in. Jar, on theother thread you suggested I leave out a blanket, so I'm looking for one now. trying to find something that won't get wet with dew, too. She loves crawling into boxes and bags.

You'd be surprise how reselient a kitten can be.
Going to bed now.. see you later.
Well I don't know it life could get any better.........LOL.Rick takes 3 other guys with him to work, one of which is my ever so lovely brother Fred.Well on the way back from getting the first guy,Micheal ,on a secondary road ,Rick slid in a ditch. No one was hurt, thank God.Now instead of my brother going to help them get out of the ditch,he borrows his sons truck and leaves Rick and Micheal, and the car still in the ditch.Rick did not ride his motorcycle to work all last summer because Fred had no way to get there,so Rick took him.Even though riding the bike would of saved us a lot of money in gas.I definitely don't need any enemies I have enough family....LOL.
Mornin' all.......I don't have it in me to say that good part.
Morning everyone! Coffee is on!
Synda, so sorry to hear about your hubby being left behind! That is just wrong.
Bon, how is that kitty doing today? Is shw down yet? Hope you got some sleep, and stayed warm yourself?
Trisha, how are you feeling? Hope your bruises are healing.
Jaye, glad you got to be with your GF! Hope they are all doing well? How are you holding up with Hambone? Is he getting settled in.
Pegi, glad to hear you have local dentist lined up!
Sorry I have been MIA. Don't know why, but I just have been lurking in the background. Guess it is the after the holidays blues?
Anyway, I am here, thinking of all of you, and sending prayers and hugs to those in need!
Please take care, and stay warm. We have some cold temps coming down from Canada. Susan, hope your staying warm up there?

Hi! I'm having a week. Yesterday I drove to work in snow flurries, no big deal at all, roads clear and no traffic because all of the schools were closed because of these snow flurries, got to work and was informed that we were under an Inclement Weather Policy and didn't have to be to work until 10am. I come in at 8:30am. Gave away 1 1/2 hours.
This morning my alarm goes off, I raise up, and the power goes out. It's 6:45am and still dark. Took a very quick shower as I don't want to use all of the hot water lol, got ready slowly as the sun was coming up, was in the kitchen feeding Tiga about 45 minutes after I got up and here comes Dave, running across the house stark naked with his clothes covering what was needed yelling, "The power's out and it's cold in here!!" LOL No kidding!! He had the thermostat set at 65* so it was cold before the power went off.
I'll catch up with all ya'll's talking at lunch, I've got a ton of work to do and I can't sit in the bedroom at home at night because it's just too cold to sit in that room, I swear that side of the house isn't insulated. When Diana next door drove to work this morning she said her car said it was 11*, when I drove to work it was warming up, by the time I got here at 8:30 it was 17*.
Love Ya'll!!
Wow, Crissy, you really are having some teensome chilly weather. We aren't nearly that cold yet. It rarely drops into the teens.
Crissy, please stay warm, put on a second layer of clothes if you have too. Don't get sick on us.
Well, well! Look who stuck her head in the room! Deborah, we missed you. How are you doing?
Bonnie, any news about Faith? I hope all is well and you were able to get some sleep.
Synda, that is just wrong...Fred can be so selfish..........I'd let Rick ride the bike as much as he wanted to work next summer.. Let Mike and Fred figure it out on their own.
Still snowing here...kids were on a two hour delay here too.....I don't think they should have went but I don't drive the bus....
Anyways, stay warm everyone.....bundle up or buddy up! lol....anything to keep warm in this freezing mess!
I lost you guys :( Been babysitting again. They went back to school today. Just wanted to tell you ladies......................
I will be meeting Chuck tonight. He is coming to watch me bowl. He says I have him intrigued, lol. He was attracted to me by my smile. He is a big man!!! 6 foot and 240 pounds calls himself a bear, lol. The dating site that we met on he would send me little gifts, I told him thanks he said he would much rather give me gifts in person. So I'm kind of anxious to see if he brings me something tonight. I would post a pix of him but it is not a good shot. But as soon as I do get one, and things go good for us I will post one. I'm so hoping he will be it. I'm really tired of being alone and bored, and don't really like these dating sites. There was another guy in Dallas TX and I had a gut feeling he was another scammer. I was right!!! The minute I read his first email to me it tipped me off. I wrote back and told him off. Went back to the dating site and his profile was gone before I could report him. He is probably still there but under another name and pix. Anyhoo gotta get ready for bowling.
TTYL
Hey Cindy, glad to see you posting, and so glad to hear you caught the bad guy again! So many of them out there! Hope Chuck turns out to be very likeable?
Bon, please keep us updated on the kitty please?
Well Rick and Micheal are at work,Ryan is back in New Phila,I have re-faxed papers to the college that I had already faxed 2 weeks ago,(if I hadn't called the college I would never had known that they still needed more papers, because I had sent them and they never let me know that they didn't get them)Haven't been asleep since about one or two last night......my head hurts,my nose is plugged, and my back is killing me...SO I'm think I may go and lie down for an hour or so.And no really I'm not stressed.....I would just like to inflict pain on someone, and at this point it doesn't even matter whom....LOL.
I feel like the horse and the world is the dog !!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you going back to school Synda? Sounds like you need an antihistimine, and a nap! Maybe a hot cup of tea? See you soon.
LK
Hi Deborah! You saving your pennies for Ohio??????
LK!!!! Think we all go through these dense cobwebs in our heads.. We spin them well don't we that they affect our normal living. Yep, that's call having the blues...
Lord doesn't promise us a strife free life on earth. But He'll make a way that we can cope. His promises are always true, Synda.
Bonnie, any news?
Susan.. you are super efficient. That's your way to shine and show what you're made of!!! I am pretty sure the pay raise will be there soon ;)
In a way, I thank Him that I don't have to drive to work in the snow like
Susan, Donna and Crissy.
Donna and Max, do be careful. In fact EVERYONE here affected by deep freeze, ice and snow... please take extra cautions.
Crissy, that sucks when you could be at home having an extra hour's sleep. Hope the heater works at the office.
Hello Deborah. Glad to see you! Bet you're already missing Judy.
Don't forget, reunion at Cookie's. Hope you can make it.
Already started on my $ jar Cookie!! You know Kel wants to come along!! With him, I can't be saving pennies or nickels.
Judy, have you started on your kitchen towels? I bet you've chosen a very unique pattern. Still am amazed at the tote you've made for LK. Only thoughtful participant that have included a slot for a water bottle.
Julie, I agree with you. If the roads are bad enough for us to worry, then the schools should be closed. Hope your writing muse works with you today.
Maid Marion, no more ouchs today :D But eyes are getting sleepy and brains are rattled!! Thinking of ironing some fabric, but I'm afraid I might burn my hands instead!
How is Kim doing at school?
Heard that parts of Florida's experiencing freezing conditions. Hope it's not you. I'll settle for 26* then having to worry about the pipes and anything else outside that can get damaged by the freeze.
Sis Debbie, needing those biscuits and hot chocolate right now!!! Might help to keep me awake!
Hmm.. what if we collectively look hard enough at Synda's island pic.. maybe our wish will materialize?
Cindy, good luck on your search, but beware of strangers bearing gifts.
Anyway, you're pretty sharp yourself and can sniff out the players and the scammers. Just be careful, please.
Darn.. CRS hitting me again!!
Trisha, I'm gonna rummage through my craft boxes and send you whatever crochet yarn I have.
Kel will be pleased with the extra room I'm creating ;)
does anyone have extension ladder to try get kitty down.?? poor thing.
Hi ,everyone sitting here i wear 2 of everything--pants, shirts.
thinking of you all many blessings.
Waiting for some good news on Faith. Poor little thing must be so cold.
If I could I would sent sunshine your way, it is another nice day so front door is open. I don't think I could survive a Minnesota winter again. I get cold when the temps. hit the 40's. Should be so thankful we do have such mild winters.
Well, off grocery shopping, don't like to do that any more, would much rather spend my time in thrift stores. One of my favorite things to do. When I get back on this forum I'm hoping to hear that Faith is back in your warm arms again.
Morning Glories! well, belatedly,anyway.
Randall brought my pills to me in bed, then got my butt up in time for exercise class. Bless that man! He said Faith was alive and crying. Now with the light he can see what we saw, she's trying to figure out how to get down but is too scared.
Ran for class. Stumbled last night in the dark, stepping on my potted strawberry plants and then jumped back when I heard all those little pots go crunch. my left knee hurt in class, letting me know I messed it up. Was too stiff and cold last night to realize. Messed up my dieting by night eating, scales said so this a.m. so I'm going to have to stop that right now.
When I got home, Faith couldn't be seen, but Molly is out there "standing guard" about 15 feet off the tree. Faith mewled, and I finally saw her 8' higher up on another branch. Randall says she was up there when he first saw her, and he coaxed her back down. So she's navigating the tree that much. it's just fear, Randall says, keeps her from making the long climb. That, and Molly there watching.
No, Tywla. Loblolly Pines start off looking like normal pines. As they grow, they begin shedding branches lower down, until they are 80'-100' with only a topnot of branching. Longer topnot than a palm, but that sort of look, and a ramrod straight trunk. Nothing short of a 6 story building ladder would reach her.
Our nearest fire station has nothing to reach that, even if they'd come, which they won't. According to them, a few years ago a firefighter in NJ died rescueing a cat. Now none will take the liability. I drove over there to talk to them as soon as I saw how high she'd gone up.
She's gotta have faith she can climb down and overcome her fears.

I'm going to gear up in layers and go work outside near her again. Be back here after dark.
Good luck coaxing her down! Sorry to hear you hurt your knee.
bonjon - also, if you have any, dried catnip will do wonders . . . if Faith has a favorite toy, you could kinda cover it in the catnip, then you could try and get her to come down to play . . .
Think that catnip scent will reach her, Nichole? I was thinking of roast chicken... that had enticed my kitty to come down.. but he wasn't that high as Faith is.
Hopefully survival instinct kicks in when she gets hungry enough.
Perhaps Molly could be restrained in another area... out of Faith's view?
It's in the 20's here Twyla, and supposedly to be this way for the rest of the week. Not good for arthritis either!
Like a zombie here, too tired to sleep... so watch some tv shows that don't require any brain activity!!! Goodnessssss...
It's Tuesday, and Kel suggested catfish at Ryan's. Glad we won't be battling snow covered roads.
Be warm!
Edited to correct myself.. I meant Nichole

Well, the weather man predicts lots of cold for everyone for the next week.......I feel for those who don't normally have low temps......praying for everyone to be safe, warm, and accident free..................
Bonjon, saying a prayer for Faith too.........maybe when Molly goes home, she might be more brave.......she knows your there and that is important. Also, hunger is a major driving force.....is there a way to put some food in a dish On the tree instead of on the ground? She may concentrate on that food dish and try to make it down that way.
Yeah, this is the best time to practise on cuddling up!!!
Maid M... has the best pillow btw;)
Well, she may have the pillow for cuddling, but I have the bottle of Bailey's or kahlua! Hold out your glass if you want to be warmed that way! ^_^
Whew! I think I'm caught up from taking last Thursday off and ready to attack this huge pile tomorrow morning. My power is back on at the house but we're going to meet for Chinese Buffet anyway :) :) :) I'll see ya'll in the morning!
Me - I need warming. Frozen nose and cheeks.
Ruth and I had no success, but then neighbor came out and took Molly back in. There's no place in their yard for restraint, no fences except the one right next to the tree, and that's only under this tree - Faith, as high as she is, can see everything there.
She responds to Randall, who feeds her. He's talked her back down the extra branches up this morning, then he went in to work. He's come back out and got her coming down .....and then Molly got out and made a beeline for Faith's dish of tuna, and Faith went back up five feet. Molly inhaled the tuna before we saw her - we can see her best from our yard and didn't know she was back out. God help us.
Ah hem, yes I do have the best pillow but unfortunately I don't share. LOL Have some kahlua also but the pillow will suffice.
Yes Jaye we are getting the freezing temps--hard freezes and day temps in the low 40s. Add the wind factor and it is miserable outside. The news said we had about 30% chance of flurries Thursday night--I won't even go there as it has happened here before--1989. What a week in December that was!!! We are staying bundled up when we go out mainly because of the wind and inside things are nice and toasty.
Kim went back today and is better pleased with her class sizes this semester than last--smaller and some of the ones with low averages have been pulled from the advanced courses. Why does it always take a semester for councilors to understand? Off my soapbox.
Bon, waiting to hear word about little Faith--sending prayers also.
Well hello Cordele!~!! It is about time you showed you face here. Penny jar going? Better be, who else will drink Mickey D's mochas with me if you don't go? I can not pass one now without thinking of you. How is the grandbaby? When is the new one due? Tell me, tell me. Better yet, pictures please.
Donna right now Florida isn't so warm--just lacks the snow! Stay warm and safe on those slippery roads.
Trisha, how are you doing?
Need to go check on my soup pot but will check back later.
Has been a long day.
Jaye, thank you so much but if you haven't already please don't send the yarn...I can never find the right yarn for the current project and buy some more... have some left over, or get extra for another project that doesn't get finished...I am looking for someone to give several large boxes of my own yarn to!!!!
Just got home a little bit ago...Laura has not been feeling well for several weeks and was really not well today. We spent the entire day in the hurry up and wait line at the clinic, then waiting for prescriptions. But it was well worth it...she took her first dose of antibiotics as soon as we got in the car....she called a few minutes ago to say she was already able to tell they were starting to work. I sure hope she is right. I have been worried about her.
Sounds like if the dog can be kept away long enough the kitty might come down soon....sure hope so!
Still stiff and sore but I will survive. Not doing spin class tonight but mom has roped me into going to the monthly get together of a bunch of the neighborhood ladies. They used to call it a Stitch 'm B!t@H group but they all quit stitching.....
Waving to everyone I missed, I need to get my hair washed and change clothes before we have to leave....will check back later.
Hi Girls.........Well I slept for 2pm til about 5:30.Have no idea what to fix for supper, not even sure if I have the strength to make it or eat it.But Rick is sooooo easy ,if I say you are on your own tonight,he'll just make some peanut butter sandwiches and he's very happy with that.God gave me a winner, even though sometimes I could shake the doo doo out of him....LOL.But all and all I am in a little better frame of mind......LOL.I don't feel like inflicting pain on anyone anymore.
Bonnie I think when Faith get hungry enough she will get determined to get down.At least that is what I'm praying for.
I can't believe this weather.....the snow plow/salt truck just went by again. And the warm states aren't even warm...........................Brrrrrrrrrr.
No Linda Kay I'm not going to school,Ryan has decided to go back.Thank God.I hated it when he decided to quit after 2 1/2 years.I can't even comprehend that he will be 23 on the 7th.I still see that little boy,not the man whose whisker stubble jags my face when he kisses me....LOL.
Good night everyone. Stay warm, and sleep tight!
Hope that Faith comes down from the tree.
Synda, glad to hear that Ryan is going back to school. What degree is he going for?
Trisha, hope you enjoyed your quilting session?
PRAISE GOD IN HIS INFINITE GOODNESS!
NEWS- Faith is home. we noted earlier today that Faith had a very strong reaction and seemed to listen to Randall (it's his cat, he feeds her) and tried to come down for him, but Molly was always there. He went out one last time to walk the dog, Hope, just now. Molly was in for the night. He is bubbling - she listened to him and came down! He said she'd moved almost 30 feet higher and he couldn't believe it. He kept his flashlight right in her eyes. He thinks maybe he blinded her to the height - she couldn't see how far down. And he kept talking to her and encouraging her. Henceforth, he'll be called the cat whisperer!
Hope won't stop licking her! We'd just said good night prayers with our DD, and she added one at the end for Faith which we all said together just before he went out. We just thanked Him all together, too.
Hope is so joyful! She's back to prancing about. Faith's busy eating.
The stress has cracked, and now all I want is to sleep, too. Spent at least 4 hours today trying to be there where she could see me. Got a bunch of heavy 3 gal frozen pots of irises moved. But I am tired.
So good night sweet sistahs. Keep those taps dripping to prevent frozen pipes!
oh - forgot to add - I did follow your ideas. I got out my turkey soup I was making (decided not to finish as it doesn't smell right and had not dumped it out yet). Got it roiling boiling, then put it out back on our two story deck next to the door where she comes to get in. That's about in a direct line due west from where she is. If that didn't get her tummy growling more, I don't know what did.
She's still eating!
Yeah!!!!
...now I can go to bed, relax and sleep. Wonderful news Bonnie.
TOUCHDOWN!!! errrr... thank you Lord, Faith's home!...
Oh Bon.. I can go to sleep now :D
Me too Maid M.. ready to say goodnight. Good to hear Kim's job will be made more smoother, and she can really give her best attention to a smaller class. Most of the time, school admins will rather find ways to cut budget... than marking up to quality education. But, if it's football, it's a another matter.
Laura, hope the meds get rid of whatever infections making you ill.
No Trisha, I haven't the time to go through the boxes. Now that group of ladies must be fun to be around! What a name!! No stitchin' just the b---n' LOLOLOL!!!
Synda, you know that even when Ryan's in his 50's, he will still be Mama's boy? Lolol.. you won't be missing him much.. you got another 'boy' at home!!!
Forgive me y'all. Too tired to chime in more... I'll say goodnight now.
One cup of hot toddy waiting for me, to chase away the sniffles...
love to all... and hugs...
So happy to hear that Faith is back warm and cozy!!
Talked to Laura earlier and she was soooo happy, the meds are already making her feel better than she has felt in weeks!
I think it is the rain that is a lot of the problem around here, Bill's feet were wet walking into the store tonight and He took a fall! Luckily he didn't injure himself as much as I did, but he called to tell me he was, much more sympathetic now.
Pizza is done have a good night everyone.
