Wonder if Dukakis sported that one??
Countdown to spring! One garden photo per day - Part 4
Probably, most everyone in these parts did back then. We are very proud to be contrary to the popular wisdom of the time, just ask the British. Much like most of the northeast, big mouth trouble makers that really like to question authority, specially when they are wrong. :0)
I remember the bumper stickers--LOL. I am from Mass.
No wonder Manny fit right in. ^_^
Well problem was he never did, that's why they let him go. A big mouth with no ideals except for them-self is not a rebel, just a big mouth.
I still miss Manny, mouth and all. Patti
me too - he is loved in every town he has played in because of his goofiness - the goofy stuff goes hand in hand with being a child and when things do not go according to manny's world that is when the problems start - lost a world series in 08 because they traded, i mean gave him away.
Admired his talent. Childlike, more like spoiled brat. He could be so much more if his character matched his skill. No way would he be a role model for my sons or grandkids. Guess I'm old school. To those that much is given, much is expected.
I agree, Pat. But they never would have won without him.
Yes that is true, but he would not have won without them either, something I think he forgets way too often. Not to mention the fans who actually pay his very nice salary.
Okay sorry for getting off topic. Let's see some more pretty flowers!
I love columbines started seeds last year of every single kind I could find
i winter sowed some last year and hoping they give of a bloom this year
I have several varieties I'm wintersowing this year too. I got some nice red ones by accident, last year, and fell in love. I still have some of its seeds.

Who has time when threads and posts are flying in so fast.
be nice children hahahhaha
Victor is a bad influence
???? The joke was about the name, not the spelling. I have joked about that cultivar before. Lighten up, Jo!
EASY big fella, I'm not mad, just a bad speller.
Love those dwarf ones, they cluster up so nicely and always bright and cheery.
yes ge I was laughing at the name, and I never use spell check either, and your gardens are MUCH nicer than mine so feel free to laugh at my yard any time you want *grin*
Oooo, I like that Victor. They always seem to disappear from my garden, do these come back every year for you and if so do they have a name?
They do, but I don't remember the name.
as I was checking out stuff on the net I found that I have what is called giant poppies in pink red and orange they are from the originals that the now oriental poppies came from I got the seeds from my aunt she got them from our grandfater he collected them in europe during the second world war
I was wondering why they grew so big in one year since they dont mature for three years and they will be between four to five feet tall as mature plants cant wait to see how big they get this year since they gew to about three feet this year
wow scicciarella those sound cool!
They sound interesting.
Big Poppy!
I was just looking for the picture I took of them this year will post it when I find it since I have like three thousand pics from this summer it will take me a bit of time
That iris noid is such a pretty blue.
Victor that is a sweet Allium. Very nice.
scicciarella, those poppies sound interesting, cant wait to see them.
dnut, that looked like a nice warm spot with the heat of the bulb for the babies. How smart is that!
