Snowmageddeon, round II is coming in a few hours - I've made a corporate decision, I'm digging in and hibernating until spring....if it ever comes! Not so funny part, I distinctly remember saying to DH a few months ago...'I predict we're gonna have a hard winter'...sometimes I hate being right!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news....
Jill Joyanna is too darn cute!!
Yup more snow coming, they are saying we could get another 2 feet!! I like your decision Becky!!
I haven't been over to check Joyanna's threads either lately. OMG is that adorable. I watched Lucas on Sunday while they took Lily out sledding. She is fearless. Wanted to go down the hill all by herself it's a short hill but pretty steep. Josh went along, too. He said the sled went right between his legs and he grabbed the sled and Lily just kept right on going for another 5 or 6 ft. She went down about 3 more times but they figured out a better way to stop her at the bottom. LOL She is the I want to do it myself kid. I'm going over to see more pics of Joyanna.
WOW Gita that is some pretty impressive shoveling. Hope the next round isn't too bad. The new snow suits aren't anything like those old ones were. I can remember how I could hardly move once I was bundled up. My arms would stick out at the side like a scare crow. LOL Holly
I said the same thing to my DH back in December Bec!
He just keeps saying, "You were right..."
OH my gosh, 2 more feet???? I didn't even look at today's forecast. The other day it said a foot.
I have a friend who will plow and shovel and even scrape and move the cars. He only charges $40. He didn't come this week as he also does it for his employer and I know that he probably went 2 or 3 days without sleep. He even does out back on the deck and steps and all down the side of the house and the front walk, and a big part of the front pavement. The year that I fell down the steps he started doing it for me. I generally enjoy snow shoveling. Where do these kids get their prices from??
We only got eight inches of snow. Even so that's a lot. The grandson had no school today. He stayed with us so he could shovel snow. At the half done point a friend with a snow blower stopped and blew out the other half in a jiff.
.....Except for blowing and drifting overnight we are over this one. Now they are forecasting another for about Monday next week. For my buddies that are pitching a fit I try to remind them that this really assures a good water supply for the remainder of the winter and into early spring. This snow was relatively dry. Eight inches of this was likely a half to three quarters of an inch of water when melted.
.....I turned off the TV. All the garden catalogs got a good second look today. Made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup and home made noodles. The grandson is on a closely managed weight prorgram. He suggested the soup idea.
Wow, Doc. Home made noodles! Now that's something I've never tried, unless you count pasta. It was great that your grandson was there to help you.
The early snow that landed was really wet, then it changed and got a good bit dryer. I never thought that it was possible to get more snow than we got on Saturday, but this one did it.
My snow blower doesn't work even though I've paid twice to have it overhauled. It never worked right from the day I bought it. After I finish up my next conference call, I'll go out and try to make some headway. No one here to help me today. I'm having a lot of fun feeding the birds.
