You were so lucky to have a date for NewYears Dahlianut
Countdown to spring! One garden photo per day - Part 3
the one horse I rode.. his real name was High Speed Twist... the owner called him Ox... I called him Bubba!
Thanks Allison
DUUUUUGH sometimes the answer is so simple.
It must be the mid-winter low brainwave syndrome.
ge they are listed in catalogues as border dahlias/container dahlias/patio dahlias/dwarf dahlias/low-growing dahlias/bedding dahlias. ADS calls them border/container dahlias. 26" and under.
ooooooooo very prettiful onewish
love the columbine Pirl
Thanks!
ge - there are dahlias that hug the ground (Dahlietta), some around a foot tall and others taller. Always check the height so you get what you want.
Luv it too. Which one is it Pirl? Nora Barlow? I need that one.
My daughter bought it, grew it, didn't like it and gave it to me so I don't have the name - she's not one to keep names. She will have to learn the hard way.
So tru one day she will regret not keeping names. I learned the hard way and had somethingsomethings in my garden :(
You're right. One day she'll want the dahlia that was a quilled pink that she had in 2006 and won't have a name to make it easier to find.
O the Horror! The Horror!
hehe
nice picks!
I can't WAIT to see pics this summer!
Will you be growing the center one in the photo? It would go so beautifully with coleus!
I can almost smell the lavender:-)
That combo is going to be outstanding.
Happy New Year back at you Patti and everyone. I love that pretty pink columbine too! Beautiful.
All the dahlias are very tempting for sure. JoAnn it looks like you are putting together some really wonderful combos. This seasons pics are really going to be great, can't wait. Hurry up spring!
Ahhhhhmen
I'd put the bright ones around the dahlia to show off it's beautiful dark foliage. I hope my coleus thrive like those this year!
I covet (she says zonally enviously)
Just incredible yall. Keep them photos coming.... I think I can almost feel the warmth of spring coming now...lol
