This is for a lap quilt, Jaye? hmmmmm maybe I can finish it quicker then LOL
I was thinking of amalgamating all the Signature Blocks I got from another thread, and join them with your fabric. That way it would Truly be a DG and Sistah quilt ^_^

Jaye, I love your new pup. Shame on someone for leaving him. I'm glad he didn't hurt you any worse, thou, a sprained hand is bad enough. You have such a big heart.
I will keep all of your loved ones that need healing in my prayers.
Synda, thank you for all the beautiful photos today. I love the little kitty too. I will show you my art when I finish painting her and my monkey on a rock or something. MAYBE. :)
Goodnight all you early birds.
Geez, Susan, I will have to go look up amalgamating so I can see what exactly you are doing to that poor fabric. LOL
Oh Susan, take it from a fabric lover, those are just beautiful.
Just got back from the grocery store. Think I got everything I need.
The kids will be over to help me out tomorrow...I let them do most of the cleaning, table setting etc... I prefer they stay out of my kitchen , I know where everything is and it is what my mother refers to as "a One Butt Kitchen"....and they are messy when they cook!
Welcome Nicole...this is a great group of ladies....and as you were told, we are a nosey bunch.
Keeping everyone in our thoughts and prayers....may the coming new year be a much better year for everyone.
Have a good night.

Morning Ladies,
They kept my SIL in the hospital. He has Crohn's Diease. And it is inflammed really bad. Doc said it was nothing that he ate or drank, that this happens on it's own. Will know more today. Going over to daughter's this afternoon to take care of kids while she goes to hospital to bring SIL home maybe don't know yet depends on how he was thru the night.
Good morning ladies. Just had to pop in. Cindy, my SIL has Crohm's Disease too. It will take a bit of time for the inflamation to go away but the disesase itself can be controlled fairly easily with diet. It is painful though when it flares up. I wish him well.
Susan those fabrics are just lovely. You will be able to do so much with them. I like your idea of using the signature blocks in with Jaye's fabric.
Jaye, good luck with your latest addition. We are cat people here but know the love for an animal knows no bounds. Good luck with Hambone.....
I'm off to clean up the Christmas house too. Have a wonderful day everyone and LK if there's more coffee that would be just fine-----
Good Morning! I have a full pot of coffee for those in need :)
Welcome Nicole!!!! So great that you can join us here!
Yes Jaye, I will probably be spending some time away from the computer now that Dave's home, I'm hoping it won't be that big of a difference. He's mood swinging pretty good right now, getting mad about me just being in his sight and I haven't done anything that would make him mad, but when I'm not watching a movie or whatever he's watching on TV he gets frustrated about that. I'm trying to figure out what we have in bills that I can get rid of. His $1500 paychecks have dropped to $1000 paychecks and when those quit coming in a month hopefully his unemployment will start, but who knows how much that will be.
I am sooooooo glad I took the day off!! It's going to be pure chaos in that office today and♫♫ laa la laa la la laaaaaa!!!!♫♫ Usually I'm stuck with it, but I'm tired of it so I'm out until Monday!
Hi everyone , ohh monkey on rock has to be so cute..
Cindy prayers for sil.
everyone take care many blessings for 2010..
Okay I have finally gotten up today!! Watched some movies from Netflexs and don't know when to stop---duh!! Watched season 3 of The Tudors now we have to wait another year for the next series as we don't have Showtime.
Welcome Nicole.
Well we have now had the experience of a broken finger. My 4yo GD was teaching her Daddy to ballet and tripped over a box. She is so proud of the splint which could actually be more by now. They took her to the ER but had to take her back to the Ortho Clinic today. I laughed until I hurt hearing her tell what she did and what happened at the ER--oh through the eyes of a child!!! She did decide to tell people she broken her finger fighting a bear of her Daddy. Can you say imagination?
Once again we are having rain today and it is suppose to last until tomorrow afternoon. Has definitely set a pattern of starting on late Wednesday evening and going on for a couple of days---I want everything to dry out!!!!
Need to go get dressed and run into town--need my prescriptions filled so will check back later.
psssssssst everyone (nichole, keep your eyes closed)
her name is spelt Nichole, with an "h" ^_^
I know how frustrating it is to have my "simple" name re-done, so-to-speak, cuz people do all manner of things to it - change an S to a Z for instance.. blechie!
Nichole, you can open your eyes now lol
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, and I wish for you and yours a Happy, Safe and Blessed New Year, and the same for the ending of the old one.
If you're out tonight, keep not only yourself safe, but those around you on the road. Too bad we can't take over the steering wheels of those around us on the road..... lol
Bless you All! ((((((((((((((((((((((( Everyone)))))))))))))))))))))

LOL Susan! try having Bonita as a first name! if you're not hispanic (I'm not) and you heard it first instead of reading it here, you would not have spelled it right. One I cringe at, and then laugh at is when folks write Bonito, which is a very nice fish to eat, salt water, I believe.
Nichole, did I welcome you yesterday?? If not
"consider yourself at home, consider yourself one of the family!"
Friendliest place online to be!
Bless you girls for the coffee! I am going to need it today... As soon as I finish this cup it is off to finish cleaning and continue cooking. have the blackeyed peas on, and the broth from the Christmas goose to make a big pot of Vegetable Soup... ham and cookies need to get done today, as does the Chili...trying to work it so I hae as little as possible left to do tomorrow. Son will be over early afternoon to help move furniture, do rugs and put stuff in the attic so we should have it all under control.
Sending prayers and wishing a Happy New Years Eve to all... have a great afternoon, stay warm and dry....forties and pouring rain here... a good day for working inside!
That is so cute, abbiesgranma! I am so glad to have avoided any emergency room visits so far (with the exception of when DD was a month old). I am just dreading any broken bones!
See what? What did I miss?!? lol
Bones mend. (with age comes wisdom?)
___ the coffee. Who's got the intravenous caffeine hose? These two teenagers kept me up until 6am. Randall got me up at 9:30.
Ladies, been telling folks over on the New Year's thread in the iris forum that I'm committed. Have heard six different reports recently about my health symptoms, and it they all indicated early warning signs of stroke or heart attack. Both run in the family. I want to live.
Y'all saw that photo of me at Cookie-Geddon, right? Could not believe that was me. I'm round! completely!
Gonna lose 50 lbs in 2010. One year. Making the commitment to go to AOA water fitness class minimum of 1 hr 5 days a week. Watching sweets intake. Figure One lb. a week with two weeks off for vacation. Gotta be smart, not make it impossible, at my age it's hard enough to do.
Started iodine suppliments yesterday. I can report now that my colon feels cleansed (cinnamon stool!), but I didn't know that was going to happen! LOL
Of course, I celebrated today, last day before starting a diet, by making waffles! LOL Tummy still off, I only had one.

Bonita - I would have spelt your name correctly the first time - no, I'm not Hispanic, either.
I've known a few Bonita's in my day (gosh now I'm sounding OLD lol o well, I am lol)
It's 50/50 as to whether we go out tonight.... roads are bad, and many accidents on one particular road that's usually the straightest way to our friends'.........
We'll see - we've told them that we're watching the roads. I'd really love to go, and also to join them in watching a movie (Hudsucker Proxy). It sounds good ^_^
think we stay home very very cold rain and fog tonight.
Cindy - thank you for the card - very original! I love it!
Happy New Year, Everyone!!
DH has to work tonite. He will stay home long enough to help get the kids in bed, then I'll have a whole night to myself to work on getting my 1/4" seams to stay at 1/4"!
Very nice card, Cindy. Thank you!
Hello all - guess the "stay home" 50% won out......... I guess DH is right, with all the accidents that happened early in the day, I can only imagine what will happen later on when people are driving "looped".
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year everyone !
Max is dropping off the kids at my MIL and we are spending the evening in ~ Watching my goofy neighbors who are already loopey.. LMAO

Donna
never had celebrated New Years or anything. its darn cold here now 26 going to 12 tonight.
Everyone be safe well happiness blessings in 2010.
thinking of you all.
Happy New Year, every body! I'm sick with a sinus infection, so I wont be going anywhere but bed! I've been cold all day, but it's not cold in here, it's just me. It's 40* now, supposed to get to 14* this weekend! BRR!
Okay since I was one of the "offending spellers" I will try again. Welcome Nichole--sorry about the incorrect spelling.
We are staying in tonight. Rainy, foggy and just not nice weather to be out driving around. Went into town briefly to get meds and decided to get the necessary items for a pot of soup--weather front starting to move in tonight. Can you believe it was almost 80 today but mid 50's tomorrow. Oh well, I plan to stay in and watch the Gator Bowl and the Sugar Bowl--my day to "veg".
Off to check some other threads so I will bid you all a very Happy New Year!
Hello beautiful ladies!
It's me... I survive another day to celebrate the New Year.
It's been one extreme long day today. Can't elaborate much, just would put me in an 'offensive' mood!!!
Smart ones should be staying home tonight;) We had to make a late pick up, and as early as 8 pm.. there were already drunken revelries let loose on the highway!!!!
I'm off to take a shower.. don my jammies.. then bid all
"A Happy New Year! I wish you prosperity, good health and lots of laughter... and above all, wisdom"
Trisha, thanks for the beautiful card!
Love to all!
A New Year Prayer
Holy Father,
God of our yesterdays, our today, and our tomorrows.
We praise You for Your unequaled greatness.
Thank You for the year behind us and for the year ahead.
Help us in Your new year, Father, to fret less and laugh more.
To teach our children to laugh by laughing with them.
To teach others to love by loving them.
Knowing, when Love came to the stable in Bethlehem, He came for us.
So that Love could be with us, and we could know You.
That we could share Love with others.
Help us, Father, to hear Your love song in every sunrise,
in the chriping of sparrows in our backyards,
in the stories of our old folks, and the fantasies of our children.
Help us to stop and listen to Your love songs,
so that we may know You better and better.
We rejoice in the world You loved into being.
Thank You for another new year and for new chances every day.
We pray for peace, for light, and for hope, that we might spread them to others.
Forgive us for falling short this past year.
We leave the irreparable past in your hands, and step out into the unknown new year knowing You will go with us.
We accept Your gift of a new year and we rejoice in what's ahead, depending on You to help us do exactly what You want..
I say it again, we rejoice!
Amen!
That was sent to me in an email.
Truly thank God for bringing so many remarkable women into my life. Been lucky to meet some of you, and do intend to meet the REST of y'all....
again... I'll tell you this.. I love you!!!
Wishing you a wonderful New Year.....cooking in progress...doing ham and Chili and cookies tonight....will do the sides tomorrow.
Sage and Laura are working on Sages room so she and Porter will have a nice clean room to play in while all the people are here tomorrow....Porter isn't good with crowds of people so Sage takes her back to bedroom and plays games and watches movies...they are happy, we are happy and our guests are happy.
Back to the kitchen, will check in next break.
And yes Nichole, my apologies for misspelling your name.
Took a quick shower, in my jammies, and too wired to sleep.
Debra, blessed is the word for us today. Almost lose my patience at the oncology center. He minded my tongue. And later in the evening, avoided a wreck.. TYL!
Donna, how much does Bella weighs? Vets are closed today and I'll have to bring Hambone for his check up next week. So far, he's enjoying the Puppy Chow. Poor thing, no telling when was the last time he had a good meal.
Thanks for the card Cindy.
Oh, so losing weight will be your New Year's resolution, Bonnie? I could never keep one.. so good luck, Sistah!
Susan, you need a white instead of cream and they'll be the perfect amalgamation for a patriotic RWB! Most of your DG friends are here anyway!
I wish I could relay stories of the darndest thing grandchildren say and do. You're so lucky Marion! Everyday isn't a boring one with them around. Indeed... you and other grandmas are so blessed!
Twyla, maybe next year, you and I take a trip to Trisha's or Susan's to ring in the New Year ;) Seems they LOVE to bake and cook for company! My tummy's already growling...
Take a picture of the spread Trisha. Nothing special for me tomorrow. Kel will be working and it will be chips and football for me.
So, help yourself to another plate for me!
Turn up the heat, Audrey!!! Cook a pot of chicken soup. That will help drain the sinuses.
Nichole, rule number 1 for quilters.. precision cutting.. rule number 2.. 1/4 inch seams. Even old sewers like me fumble with the seams!!
Well... good night everyone.. 2009 is our past.. may 2010 be kinder to us ;)
bonjon - I will do this with you! My goal will also be to lose 50 pounds this year. My dr has tried this and that, and I've tried various diets that work to some extent, but the weight comes back. Dr. thinks it may be related to thyroid, even though the numbers are within 'normal'. Anyway, I digress . . . since I will do this with you, bonjon, I will now go and enjoy a huge bowl of spaghetti, wash it down with a nice glass of wine (along with a good book), then weigh myself in the morning. Thus begins a new year!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EAST COAST!
Happy New Year All!
Still laughing at the short video on facebook that synda posted. That is something my mother would have done, and she would never stop laughing. I'm on facebook at lot, they got me hooked, but never saw that.
Happy New Years to all you wonderful people, one more hour to go here until midnight. I'll be seeing all of you in 2010.
Pegi, Hanging out with an hour to go and things in the oven here....and it is the Year of the Tiger if I am not mistaken... my sign is the Tiger.... Happy New Year everyone!
Happy New Year to all!! Be safe..Be Blessed..Be Warm and Dry...Be Healthy...Be Loved...Be Happy
It's New Year's Eve and we ponder the past.
We miss those whose year it was their last.
So many new friends we met and made
And lots of plans were thought well laid.
We laughed together and together we cried.
We did a good job and at the end we sighed.
Looking back through the year, there was so much
We shared, enjoyed, envisioned and touched.
We learned and we taught,
We loved and we fought.
We gave and we took
We showed and we looked.
We blessed and were blessed
With all of the best
Of what we called the year 2009.
And as we begin
2010
A new milestone setter
That will only get better!
Happy New Year's to YOU and YOURS
Julie
