hey Venice....good to see ya. You might want to try to avoid the Nyquil for a while. After a week of using it you can wind up with more troubles than relief. You may want to try taking an aleve before bed and see if that doesn't help.

It is her mother...so of course she loves her...my MIL is angry cuz SIL and DH did not fly home for Christmas...there is a lot of underlying mother/daughter stuff there that I stay out of.

Okay, I was thinking brothers... I'm glad I get along with my MIL. Only problem I have there is that she and DM trip over each other to see who can help me bigger, better, faster.

That's more on my mom's part, though, with her illness. She's gotten very competitive and jealous of small things. It's true, you have to treat them like children in this stage.

My MIL is 80 and bitter...such a shame as she once was a very happy fun loving woman.

I hope I stay Smiley. Grouchy is too hard to be.

I hear ya. Life is too short to be so miserable. She wonders why no one wants to go visit....between her games and they way she is always angry at DH's dad (he is 87 and in guarded health) it is just not a pleasant time.

Sounds like you like your FIL, if he's happy to see you, that's the only saving grace of the whole visit.

It's too bad she's not nice to him, doesn't help his health, I'm sure. Sounds like she's only nice to a few people anyways.

Just her small group of friends, to whom she is Patty the wonderful....My FIL and I have a very good friendship. He is a straight shooter and you know exactly where you stand with him...we are both geminis and tend to look at things in a similar manner.

I ruined dinner, getting chinese...I'll try to be back later! My feet are frozen clubs I have no heat in my car! LOL

Yes, I am drinking plenty of fluids. And I haven't been on NyQuil for a while. I got some new over-the-counter drugs, Tylenol PM and cough syrup for cough and chest congestion. That ought to do it for tonight but also I am taking a decongestant.

boy woke up crying for mamma at 12pm, Ok honey come on get in mamaws bed. Just got him down and 5 year old got up smileing and roaming the house, Ok mammy is tired now your gonna have to go to sleep, go get in my bed. So mammy slept at bottom of bed and they went right to sleep.Other 7 year old girl was sawing logs in grandbaby room and never heard a thing. They helped me clean and rearrange the living room today and more playing in the snow ect. Some tired little people will sleep tonight and so will mammy!

Managed to make a RN and a pharmacist mad today though.
