Very pretty!! Daffs and tulips are wild this AM.
I'll break the trend with a JM - Katsura, from April.
Countdown to spring! One garden photo per day - Part 2
Thats a beauty,is it a spring shot?
Yes - April. Thanks.
Nice, Bill. The flower on the pot reminds me of one of Harper's drawings.
What a nice compliment! Thank you Victor. Gorgeous JM shot.
I think I'm in love with Juan.
The HD tulips were a great surprise. I'm glad I bought them, especially since tulips don't come back year after year.
nice katsura victor - can't wait to see mine this spring
Venu, well that coleus is very Christmasy an quite pretty at any time of the year.
Wow---quite a burst of color---the species tulips should come back for you, Harper, but I have plain tulips from Easter gifts that keep on truckin'----they are planted on the south side, against the garage.
So how many inches? (or feet?)
20 inches
About the same here but the drifts make it difficult to get an accurate measurement.
Pretty little iris. I can tell you it's a siberian. Don't know which one.
What a beautiful bunch of irises. Yum. Pirl, your Chionodoxa is such a great shot.
Andy, I wanted the 20". Only got 5". Wanna trade?
onewish whatchya doin up so early?
always my dear
Oh. Me I'm just too excited about the places we looked at yesterday. Las Cruces is a luvly area and there are lots a small acreages about. We're going to Deming today to look at a place; 3.5 acres with a barn and a tack room. O and there is a people house on it too.
d-nut It is very hot in that area during the summer. (brother lives in Las Cruces). I am assuming that you are looking at the fall & winter months.
Ge1836, that is a wonderful holiday photo. I couldn't figure it out by just the thumbnail. What a surprise!
Dahlianut, good luck with the property hunt.
Here is a photo taken a few years ago of our outside Xmas tree made from branches pruned from our yard for our front porch. I just treated it like a giant flower arrangement and kept sticking the branches in an empty big pot until it seemed right. It held up fine for weeks with no water. We even had a few bird visitors. Patti
Lovely Iris's.
Harper my tulips never come back either. Those are brillant. Are "species" the named ones?
Love that bright yellow Allison. Yellow should be the official color of Spring.
GE, you could not have staged that any better! Amazing! Are those your birds?
bbrook, what a great idea! It looks wonderful.
dnut, hope you find a great place. I loved house hunting. A people house is a plus. Are you looking for a new planting site for daffs?
Joyce
I can smell it, almost. Patti
Your tulips are lovely, Harper. There are fewer each year - it's a pity.
Allison - great shot.
Patti - what a beautiful arrangement. You're very talented!
Nice color on your hyacinth, Victor. Daffodils are always so welcoming, Bill.
Here are some Zurel tulips (from Dutch Gardens).

Always check online for coupons to Dutch Gardens and other nurseries!
Cool color pattern, Pirl.
Zurels are reliable performers for me, don't loose too many from year to year! Beautiful tulips pirl!
- Great color combo on the companion plants for the hyacinth Victor! I'm going to see if I can find those blue ones on the right too!
- forgot to order more of these for next spring, when I find the receipt I'll order 25 more!
(lol!)
jadajoy! you give me too much credit as a photographer.
We are cat people
no birds here.
The pic came from the web.
Great photograph and great tulips, WC. Where did you buy them?
Brent & Becky's!
Thanks!
