Got it!! 'Lady Jane'! - Thanks pirl! (lol!)
Countdown to spring! One garden photo per day - Part 2
Thanks all. Yes we are looking for snowbird place. Very prettiful flowers on this thread.
The earliest of the dahlias doesn't even bloom until June, DN, or I'd have posted a photo for you.
^_^ DonnieB is gonna have some in spring methinks ^_^ Hope your eye is better dear pirl.
Much better, DN. No more red Christmas ball effect to be seen, thankfully.
Patti, one of your irises bloomed already? You are a good iris Mama!
Pretty Allison. Is that a primrose? I gotta get me some of them.
Love your "tree" Patti.
Hyacinths and daffs, oh boy! That reminds me, I must plant more hyacinths next fall. I am going crazy in this thread with all the spring bulbs. I can't believe I didn't plant one bulb here this fall. Well, I did plant a couple hundred bulbs in my friend's yard. Guess I'll just have to visit.
Beautiful Arlene and WC
Looks like a dahlia, Joyce, a very pretty one.
Beautiful pics!! I don't have many from early spring either...no bulbs planted this year...This wonderful thread has truly inspired me!
DUh, yes a dahlia, thanks Harper:. ooo don't get old, its no fun :-)
Janet, I bought an agapanthus last year that is hardy in zone 5---well, I'll know this spring!
I believe they prefer to be rootbound to bloom but check it out to be sure. Mine, in zone 7, died a quick death.
I covered it really good and we had a very heavy snow cover for almost all of the winter, but it was gone gone gone....
From what I've read it takes a few years before it flowers again.... but it won't stop me from giving it a try, this time it will be planted in planters so they can come into the house during the winter...
It bloomed all spring, summer and into the fall. The best blooming plant I had that first year.
Janet
all pretty shots today... love that arrangement Patti!
That lily of the nile is awesome. Darn. Why'd ya haveta hook me on a plant I can't have?
Allison, 'Tahiti' daff?
Love all the spring blooms, lost most of my pics off the PC last week so im living spring thru this thread!
Oh no Pixie! Are they truly lost? I lost mine once but after hours of fiditzing with the PC and many expletives I got them back.
I always go to "recycle bin" sometimes you can restore the files.
Oh no! Get Carbonite!
Yes, all gone. Brian went to download some Windows or Microsoft updates that corrupted some files. Had no choice but to wipe it out and start over :(
OMG Pixi how horrible.
How many did you lose?
There were over 2000 but some of those, maybe 1200 were already copied on CD's.
I'll just take more......DH got me 5 filters and a new lens and cleaning kit for Christmas. Gave them to me early so I can learn to use them alittle before Christmas and the Grandchildren come!!
YOU all wonder why I cook all these good meals??? He spoils me rotten!!! :)

Sorry pixie, I keep my pics on a separate hard drive, away from the system drive. My 'puter can crash and windows can be wiped out and it wont affect any of my important files. My drives are internal, because I built the 'puter myself, but they have external drives which are 'plug and play' at places like Best Buy and such. ... just a thought ☺
- Great color on the scilla! Are those the little blue flowers to the right of the pink hyacinth pic above?
(Here's a tulip to brighten the morning.)
very nice white tulip.
Thanks. No, they were Glory of the Snow.
Beautiful white.
Nice pic of the scilla with the rain drop on the end of it! I think the scilla would be very nice with WC's tulip, if they bloomed together. That's a dazzling white tulip WC.
Thanks
- and thanks for the ID! (BTW, the white tulips are T. 'Purissima') ☺
auto focus, imagine stabilizing 55 X 200 thats all I can tell you t the moment. LOL He'd be the one to ask...he did a bit of research to make sure I could reach the bottom of the field if that eagle should visit again. ^_^
Probably 55-200mm. Nice!
