Coffee Break #26 - Feeling like winter!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Battery acid is Sulfuric acid? - Sulfuric acid is a base acid with a high ph, Phosphoric acid has a low ph, maybe they're talking about neutralizing the acid quickly. Water would wash it away but not 'neutralize' it. - anyway I wouldn't use coca cola on my battery! (lol!)

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Had decent weather today for getting the outside decorations up, mid 40's no rain, the ground is still awfully wet though. We got the tree up for Holly's birthday party Sunday and I think we got the last few decorations on it today, we always have a few that need a little attention, glue, whatever. I have a few arrangements and wreathes to do then, it's pretty much down hill from here, get to enjoy a little shopping, making cookies with the Grandchildren,Laissez les Bon Temps Roulez!!! Ric
Here are the Crumbsnatchers, OOPS I mean Cookie bakers.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks Harper... the programming needs some tweaking.. but sometimes it doesn't work out the way I planned.. so hard until I see it outside.. just need a camcorder so I can watch the tape and change it as needed

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Great job as always Allison!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Heard on the news this AM that the latest 'doomsday budget' from the NYC transit system would eliminate free rides for students! Can't believe that.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Their budget is crazy all over the place. Wasn't it just last week they were saying they had a surplus?

Cold today. Got a light dusting of snow last night.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - not too long ago. They're blaming the loss of state aid. But they have been one of the most corrupt agencies for years with way too many big salaries.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Thanks for the link Harper. It says cola contains sulphuric, citric and carbonic acid. I'm gonna pick up a bottle for the rust on my outdoor garden bench.

Very nice Allison! You have been very busy!

What a great thing to do for our Navy men and women.

Mr. Woods was named athlete of the decade today - no word on which sport though

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

awwwwww

Thomaston, CT

I love my Bird's Nest Spruce, Victor, & they are doing well in my zone, which is probably colder than Meriden's. I don't drink a lot of soda, but do keep some cola on hand for stomach upsets---having acid in it is a thrill....

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Do they still make YooHoo?

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Pretty sure I've seen it in the grocery store

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Thanks.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Good luck with the soda on your bench Joyce! LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Tonight I'm going out to celebrate finishing up my degree. I took my last final and am so relieved to be done with this. It was getting to the point that I couldn't remember which class was which :-) Now I know why they say 'do it while you're young'.

I have my choice of restaraunt but can't decide. IHOP would be fine with me :-)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats, Joyce!! Yes - I can't imagine going for a degree now.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Congratulations Jada!!!!!!!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

WOOHOO!!!!! Congrats on this milestone. Enjoy your well-deserved dinner.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Thanks!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Great going Jada!! You deserve more than IHOP though :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Billboard named Eminem as artist of the decade. Is anyone else cringing and pondering the demise of civilization as we know it???

South Hamilton, MA

Congratulations on the degree. I can't even get through the Vista computer book. definitely do it while young. If not do what you did. Deserves a steak house at least.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Congrats on getting your degree jadajoy! That is alot of work and you should be poofing with pride. Beaming up from Albuquerque (gotta luv a city spelled with alot of 'u's. Downright friendly ^_^). Breathtaking drive accross northern AZ and NM although DH is asking when does it get warm (tee, hee). Zooming up to Santa Fe today for a couple of days visiting and gawking about with my dear friend roybird before heading south. ps Las Vegas NV is a funky weird place to rent a car. They seem to feel since NV has no fault insurance that your insurance doesn't count. Funky weirder is that the car we rented has Utah plates so is obviously registered and insured in Utah so why the brewhaha about Nevada insurance laws? NV postaldude more than made up for NV rentalcarbabe though, with his extremely helpful licketysplitting of my gift to WI for me ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

funny about the u's dnut - hope you continue to have a great time

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Oh My! Tell Roybird a big "Hi" from phoebesviolets! He helped me a lot about this time last year when my camera was new(my first).
