Today's Weather in Your Garden - 58

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Will find out definitely tomorrow, but about 15" or so. It looked a lot like venu's pics. Lots of wind and drifts. Looks like it is really slowing down now, Jeff just came in from shoveling again. He wanted to stay on top of it.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

23°, windchill -3°, wind NE 22mph +

We've got about 8" here, wind gusts near 35mph, coming down fast & furious. Supposed to end about 9am here so I'll be digging my car out tomorrow. Too nasty outside now.

They just showed the weather forecast for downstate, and surrounding areas. Stay safe all! We're not getting anything for a change.

(Zone 5b)

nothing here yet! :(

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Nothing here either looks like we are now in the 8" path - have my family xmass party tomorrow up in NH at my sisters whe should only get 4" - funny we had it here last year and got wacked with over a foot of snow - hope everyone else makes it up there with no problems, the rest are coming from outside of boston

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Well after midnight, and barely a dusting--woulda been home an hour ago--on dry pavement! I couldn't afford this $$$ hit--and I think the weathermen should pay my rent this week! You should have seen them on the 11 o'clock news cavorting in the flurries with their measuring sticks...pretending there was a blizzard! I'm so tired of the meteorlogical doomsday reports and scare tactics--now you know one reason why we are so cranky in CT!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Don't remember that much snow we are having, at least over a foot with wind blowing

Not getting nothing - we missed it - Hooray!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

It is a coastal storm from the south, a true north easterner

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Getting ready to go shovel. Looks like it will be an all day affair. The dogs are in a quandry. They've been "holding it" since yesterday.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

not sure what our total is but it's a lot... 23 now going up to 29.. more snow this morning

I am getting some pics off my camera now

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my dogs were freaking out to go out this morning as well ... until I opened the door.. Randy is gearing up now to take care of it

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Still snowing here too. Looks like 10-12" so far. Hard to tell because of drifting and gusty wind. Temp 16 degrees. Should ease off around noon. Could get another 3-4 inches before all is said and done. Not as much as the high estimates yesterday but way more than I want. Bill when you coming to get your share? I will have it all piled up for you. :o)

(Zone 5b)

It snowed! It doesn't look like much, it's 23 degrees. So much for the "7-10 inches" Guess I'll have to take what I can get.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

guess the small candy canes were not such a good idea

23'' of snow and it's still coming down lightly....it does make the decorations look pretty though, but that's about it!!

(Zone 5b)

oooh I'm jealous! They say we got much less because the air is so dry here right now.

Well it's still snowing, now predicted to stop around 1pm, at this point 'who knows..'
So far we have 24" and still snowing at a good rate. Snow plows stopped because they started getting stuck in the snow last night, I only saw one pass by and after he got 'unstuck' he never came back! (lol!) Nothing/ no one is moving out there, snow is too deep!

might need to patti - 18 here and it only started snowing this morning - have maybe 3" on the ground now although it is coming down pretty good.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - you Jersey and LI guys got a lot!!! Looks like about four or so inches here. Great pics! 23.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

It snowed here!! Everything is shut down. Theres only a couple inches but here that is major. The dogs are out in it and won't come in. They are loving it, even the babies on the deck. Going to take pics.

South Hamilton, MA

Driveway plow just arrived. He depresses the blade as we have a gravel driveway & don't want the gravel everywhere except the driveway.

Thomaston, CT

Right about cranky folks in CT---we had about 4"---nuisance snow only---we got 6" in the last storm, which was supposed to be a "coating"---oh, well, glad someplace else got it this time!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

The plows left my mailbox standing. It's a miracle!!

I'd be glad too---if I weren't out of hundreds of $$$$$ and the good will of co-workers who have been doing a lot of covering for me since I fell and had subsequent cardiac probs in OCT. Their payoff was supposed to be getting weekends off b/c I was going to pick up weekend shifts. Everything is just so precarious right now, I didn't need this too. Alright...whining done.

Still snowing, but seems to be easing up some. Will end up with about 15". Wind has eased off a lot, just normal 3-5mph with occasional gusts to 20mph from due north. Good sign the wind is from the north, that means we are on the western edge of storm moving out towards the ocean. Should end soon I hope. At least it is very light fluffy stuff, easy to move out of the way. Unfortunately not so good for snowmen.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

It does add to the holiday decor! Even got some icicles.

South Hamilton, MA

10" here, but still snowing, not heavy flakes.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

32 and got a dusting of snow. Had alot of rain with it last night, so we have ice on the roads too. Yuck, I hate the ice.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

29°, windchill 14°, wind NNW 11mph

23" total here, dig a path for the car so I can lay some salt & I'm done.

Wow!

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

I'll say wow. That's the kind of snow that's normal for us, but we only have about 3-4 inches now, shrunk from around 5-6 with the sun we had today. Now you folks can see how the snowbelt lives, right, Jo Ann ?

South Hamilton, MA

Snow stopped about 2:30 this afternoon. DH measured 10 inches. Birds very busy on the feeder & one Junco really working hard at digging.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

We got a foot, they were supposed to have Santa and horse drawn carriage at our local farmer's market but Santa got snowed in!!! He was coming in from the Jersey Shore.
