hey Louise.... 24 now going to 27... not looking forward to all this snow
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 58
Well darn it, the fizzle factor is not looking good. In fact it looks like se Ma is going to hit the snow jackpot on this one. Oh joy! Now looking at 12-18" and blizzard warnings up. Temp now at 16 degrees under overcast skies and the winds seem mostly calm at present. The calm before the storm? Should get as high as freezing for a high temp. Looks like all snow all the time from around 7pm to mid day early afternoon tomorrow. Buckle up people.
buckled!!
Rotten SNOW!!!
i and in the 4-7" zone - wish we were getting 2 ft!
14 degrees
22. Waiting to see what happens.
5 to 7" predicted here. Not starting until late afternoon. Lightbulb flashed on downstairs lamp as DH was going out. Not the right spare bulb & he should pick one up when he gets the paper. Enough food on hand so that is all right.
32 and snow/rain mix. It was snowyer at 7 am than now.
23 here and already about 6" on the ground, but it's blowing around, so it's hard to say. We're in the 12-20" band. We always get dumped on when it comes from the south. DH wanted it on a school day so he could stay home. ^_^ Our cantata has been moved to Christmas Eve now. Hatches battened down.
Good luck, Jan!
Tanks!!
You're gonna need tanks! LOL. ...So are we! :-(
^_^
43 degrees and raining nonstop. Even WE are supposed to get snow. It has snowed once since I've been here and it only lasted a day. I can't wait :-)
21 degrees & cloudy....we're supposed to get 6 inches I think.
27°, windchill 12°, wind from the NE @14mph
- Just started snowing here.
good tip Watercan2, you're just south of me *grin*
off to the grocery store I go
they just changed our forcast for 7-15 inches...what kind of estimate is that?? lol

Very odd...the sun just came out! The weatherman said the storm is here according to radar, but the air is so dry, it's evaporating before it hits the atmosphere. Were gonna get slammed later tonight--8-12 to possibly 18 inches.
Sunshine was not predicted!

Bill you can have all of my share! Do you have a big truck? :o)
My company just left---I'm too exhausted to type---very raw out there, supposed to get 6-10"---oh, well---it's Dec.
DH swung the mailbox in. It is on a movable board so he can swing it in when lots of snow is predicted. that way it doesn't get whammed by the snow pushed up by the snow plows/
Just back from the game. Snowing lightly.
Army won, but did not look too good. Sloppy play, turnovers and weak defense.
24°, windchill 1°, wind NNE 14mph, currently snowing
We got 2 inches here at the Valley overnight, not enough to deflect setting up at the Farmer's Market this morning. Hungry people on their way to basketball games today were loading up. Supposed to get another 1-2" by tomorrow evening.
Jealous of all your snow, but not of having to deal with it (getting out or getting to work). It would be tailor-made for some impromptu vacation days for me.
At least it is a great backdrop for winterberries...
Snow not here as yet. A lot of people still christmas shopping. Sent a plant to a cousin of DH in the next town. Only relative anywhere near us. I am SO glad to finish all the mailing.
Lots and lots of snow here! I'm charging the camera's battery to get some pics tomorrow.... if I can dig my way out of the house.
Haven't had a snow like this in years, LOVING it!!!! Snowing all day
4" on my front stoop
24 degrees
I have about a foot on my front steps. A little more out the back door. The drift against the back door was waist high.
When we lived and worked in Connecticut, I loved going to bed at night knowing that the evergreens and ground would be covered with snow by morning. I actually loved the snowstorms because I grew up here in Fla. and never saw snow until I went away to college. I didn't like to drive in it, but I just let Hank drive me in his 4-wheel drive Jeep. LOL
Hope the snow is manageable for all of you! White Christmas! Yay!!!
We got the cold front today...love being able to open up the windows. The Beastie Babies are all fired up from the cool temps. They want to run their little legs off.
I can't believe I took the day off and inconvenienced others to cover for me so I wouldn't have to deal with DRY PAVEMENT with my injured leg! Not a flake yet!!!!! Won't even mention how much $$ I lost.
On the other hand, I am LOLing at the visual of those little fluff balls running their little legs off! ^_^
Love the street light shot!
Oh, My, Weez! That's a bucket of snow for sure! I love that street light shot too. "I'm dreamin' of a White Christmas...." You are so right! Bailey and Carli in their little white fur suits would be lost completely in the snow. When we lived in New England in the winter, our other bichons would blend right in and I'd not be able to tell where they were except for their little black noses. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr. It sure looks cold there! Stay warm and stay inside!
They say this may be the #1 for inches of snow in history for the month of Dec. Right now Philly is up to 16 and the record is 19
