Wow Kassy,I am glad your safe in all of that stuff! I'll knit you a heiney warmer! Grin
TWO WEEKS AND A DAY TIL REINDEER PLAY
Hi JJ's we will have to give poor puppy a bed pan!! I dont blame you for not letting GS go out in that. Dominos sound a lot safer and warmer......It's 72 here and the sun is back out. Strange weather...
Kassy is that just the reflection of your terrified eyes on the wind shield? Grin.....Let's both yell at Kassy JJ's. Kassy dont do this sort of thing any more!!!! It's dangerous girl!!! O.K. I'm through yelling at ya.
OK but ya darn well have better been sitting still when you took that picture.
get the extra room ready dixie kassy's going to give me ride to your house
72 thats barefoot weather....14° here thats fuzzy sock and slipper weather
Smiley, I have some good seeds from the turtles that you gave me. So if the plants don't come up, I will have some.
Seems to me where they lived in Columbia SC before, there were areas of their yard that was all sand and the rest was soil because I remember our shoes getting dirty. I will have to ask my son what their yard is like now.
I have varigated vinca that I brought inside and it never had blossoms. I guess I will have to look at more varieties. My computer or this site is acting up. So I will have to do that later.
Thanks!
Kassy, I guess you got a few inches there!
For me that's hibernation weather JJ's grin. I'm sure you will find some thing just right for her Venice. And she will love it because it came from you.
Then don't open the door Kassy...grin...
I would like to hibernate Dixie but don't think I could go that long without food..lol
JJ....now you see why I live here and have such decisions of pants or shorts...LOL
Howdy Y'all....good to see you...hope everyone is safe and warm
At least it doesn't look like it was blowing real bad, so at least you could see.
I can't see the bean field behind my house right now.
Gotta point there JJ's. I'll do most any thing for food. Grin....Lord have mercy Kassy, were gonna have to get ya a dog sled team. Grin
But GS misses all the snow days.
Where's Lynnie.... she wanted to make a snowman she can come on over.
This is no lie...but is unbelievable..there was some guy mowing the snow in his yard in Milan Illinois yesterday. Had him on the news he said he was glad to get his yard mowed.
What some people will do to get on TV.
JJ's I think your dog has the right idea. Smart one he is. Grin
Was going to say dixie dog sled won't do any good ...dog won't go out there...
Kassy I have a very large fear of heights...I would have to stay put. Since they built the new bridge to Jekyll Isl. I wont even drive over it. Not kidding. JJ's cant believe that idiot was mowing snow..Have to agree with you on the lengths some people will go to to get on t.v.
Mine didn't look like that in the ditch. It just looked like I was dumb and parked there...lol
I can sympathize with you Dixie. I don't like them big bridges either. I'm one of those people who want to open the windows first, so I know I can get out if I have to...not that I could swim very far in freezing water or hysterical...
So in a short span on one of the divided highways, I saw 4 in the ditch!
Actually they all managed to hit the center. They will all be there until Thursday, as everyone was told that if they went in the ditch, no one will be dug out until Thursday.
I'll try to find the picture of that bridge that I sent to JJ soon here.
LOL JJ's we'll have to pack a parachute! Screaming like a banshee all the way down..Grin
Seeing all your snow Kassy, brings back some fond memories in Madison. People would laugh at work about the people were late because they got stuck in a snow bank which happened nearly every day. This was in the city. When they would plow the snow off the streets, I remember the mailboxes getting covered. Also, when the snow was even 2' deep and had been on the ground for a while, people would wish for more snow so it would look all clean again! I remember when I went outside walking when it was 20 below! I had all kinds of scarves wrapped around my head and didn't walk too far. No wind, but man that was COLD!
I am sure a lot of you have some snow memories!
Hey guys, I'm glad to be home. Been on the Indy 500 trac all day. Hopping limbs and dodgeing fallen trees. I parked in the yard because as I pulled in driveway a tree fell next to my property in the woods. Wind has calmed right now but still have to chase siding that blew off the house lol. Kassy I laughed real hard when I saw that bridge picture of you driving over it, thought that was your eyeballs, too funny! Venice don't do seeds, and the only thing that I really know looks pretty in winter is Christmas cactus or poinsetta this time of year. Hi JJ glad you didn't have to go out. Hey Dixie girl glad it warmed up a little for you. Hey Moon, got all those chores done yet? Smiley that was an awsome poem! and Joy I am so jeolous that you got to see all the places I can only dream about. Wish you had pictures.
I read that gladiolias are good in SC. But I think you have to start those with bulbs.
LOL JJ
OK this I will make my last one...........
More pretty trees on the last road I had to travel before I was home.
I didn't hear what Madison got yet, but they got more then us last year. They set a record snow fall for the year last year, getting over 100 inches in the season venice. Be glad your not there.....LOL
My mom planted gladiolias every summer venice.
That was one of her favorite flowers.
I would have to turn to cannibalism waiting that long for some one to dig me out of the snow. Either I'd chew the people up that are with me or, chew off my own arm...Grin..I cant go too long with out food.
Flowers, sorry you had to chase after your house! You must have had really strong wind there.
I thought it was pretty warm during SC winters. The ground doesn't freeze does it?
Venice I can think of no reason to go walking outside in 20 below weather.
We usually wished we hadn't made it to work either because they would double up the job you had to do. Learned fast if the parking lot was empty don't go in..
Bulbs are always a good choice Venice, can put those in the ground in cool weather and expect pretty things in the spring. Daffodills, Johnaquils, Tulips are good spring bulbs here and Glads are beautiful in mid to late summer.
