Jori, the candies and cookies turned out great, We finished up about 7 that night and I went to bed at 8:30 and slept til about 3:30 AM, then slept off and on all the next day...lol...not used to being on my feet so long, but we got all the goodies finished up, and both our fridges are full of candiesWe will give some out this week, but some has to last til our dinner on Saturday.
Kim, I would love to have a wood stove to help with our heat bill. I was raised with wood and coal heat, so I can built a good far(lol), girl.
Yes, Debra, Charleens shelf does look good, doesn't it.Her plants look very happy!

Brugmansia Blooming in a vase
I cleaned them up. That poor ponytail plant had to have a "makeover" You all should have seen it. Wish I would have thought to take before pic. They are an odd lot but they are better now, because I raised the shelf even with the window. Cleaned the windows and washed that little curtain too.

Hello girls, just got home and need to build a fire in the wood burning stove, it's our only source of heat. I get tired of having to build fires but it's cheep, free. This Summer I had people pay me to thin out their trees and I brought the wood home to burn. I should have enough to to go all this Winter and most of next Winter.
wish I had a wood burner.. my daughter has a fireplace and uses it all winter for her heat source..
Wow, Ken, you did good, laying in the wood! I would push for a wood stove, but my hubby is 70 years old and I just can't see him splitting and carrying wood..lol.. I usually carry the wood in to build a fire at my daughters house, when we go over there every weekday. Their main heat is propane, but they do have a nice little woodstove in the living room. I love building a fire...I tell my husband that I have the touch...he says I am touched..lol
Dee
Charleen, what is the plant that is 3rd or 4th from the left, that looks like a hunk of coral...a cactus?
Dee
I'd Touch him, alright.
Yes, it is a cactus, with littlestickers. It is a strange creature, it stay in the same bowl as that Bonsai plat.
When I water the Bonsai ,it gets it too. Shhhhhh, it doesn't know it is a cactus. It thinks it's a tropical Bonsai..

Dee
Says it's 52f. gotten warmer when it started raining. Hubby was trying to figure out much snow we would have.
Too much... I finally got my fuzzy seed in a larger pot. So, it should start growing now. Mu moonvine looks good on the top , bottom doesn't look that great!! But it is still alive.
Charleen
Charleen, what is the fuzzy seed?
Dee
It is a Morning Glory seed and it's Fuzzy. Has a red stem, I put it in a pot of Cinnamon soil to help it grow. The cinnamon helps the soil, so I sprinkle it in there. Smells so good. My Little seed Brug is in Brug heaven, it didn't make it. Still got a bunch of Brugs in glass jars too. Got to get them in my little soda bottles.
Got to get up Early ,so, hate to leave great company but better go. Goodnight Dee. Have a good one.
I'll talk to you in the AM.
Charleen
Night Charleen. I'm getting off too.
Dee
Jori, you have a nice Greenhouse. I am so happy you have one keep all your plants.
How wonderful to have a GH to work in -in the winter. Yes, Some kind of insulation will
Help the heaters but will be very nice. Love the blooms.
Charleen
Jori, that night blooming cestrum is so sweet.. I have heard it called night blooming jasmine, night blooming cestrum, and jessimine.. whatever it is, mine always knocks me out with its' scent..
Jori, I think I had one of those, calleed night blooming jasmine that I got at a NC zoo plant sale for employees and docents. Oh how I loved that plant. That was many years ago, though.
Sheri
They grow very easy from seed. Now I hear your stories I bring the plant inside my house today!
I got my greenhouse secondhand of an internet marketplace. I payed about 100 euro's for it and it is very big 10x6 meters. My DH and my brother broke it down and build it up again. It took for almost two weeks before they were finished, but I am happy with it! I don't have any room left inside our house so I am glad I can leave my plants here.
My brugs are not yet in it. They are still in a little shed but I'll bring them in today.
You are so Lucky to have a Greenhouse, Jori. My house is my GH. I have plants everywhere.
I sit here and am Surrounded in Green plants. Mu Brugs are Getting nubs and roots. Got some in Soda bottles last night. They are standing like little soldiers.I see roots in the aquarium. How Great!
where are you all????
Here it is snowing very hard. I think we have some 40 cm of snow. It is hardly impossible to drive the car so we just stay inside.
Two days ago it froze very hard at night and we had a big electrical power failure. In the whole region for about 4 hours. All my plants got frozen. The most of them look so very bad. I could just cry. I hope some of them will survive but I am afraid for it. Luckily I have almost all the brugmansia cuttings inside our office because it is warmer there and they will root better. But the ones who were alreade rooted were in my greenhouse. But it also looks like they survived it. The leaves are frozen but the stems still feel solid, not soft.
Oh, girl. I am so sorry. Haven't heard from Elizabeth in a long time. Once awhile Dee writes, they are with their children I guess for the Holidays. We have had rain, no snow yet! They keep calling for it. Things are cool and I don't go out too often when it is cold. Today is beautiful. Wind blowing and that makes it feels colder. We will have brugs in Spring. I still have some and they are getting roots. You stay safe and warm.
Charleen
