Good morning my perfect sistahs!
Susan, having TMJ can also give you those headaches plus earaches, cause they're so near to the bone. My best friend's husband is diagnosed with TMJ, and once in a while, he'd do a Jekyll and Hyde on us ;)
Wonder how you sing all these years without straining your vocal chords. Soon, you'll be the next Beverly Sills.
Made the trip to the Post Office. Priority again, and you'll get it 6-10 days. But you know how that goes. I do hope you'd be able to enjoy it for Christmas.
Welcome back LK! So, what's next? Grandbaby's christening? I bet you and Todd can't wait to hold one.. tell your DIL to hurry!
CRS hits you too huh? We'll wait for the pics. I bet you look spiffy that day.
Keep that snow over there!! Don't want any sent this way! I agree LK.. YUCK!!
Hey Bon, how lucky!! Those Australian Irises are lovely too. Randall is so good to you. Hang on to a man that doesn't mind feeding his wife's horticultural passion. So, those long working hours... does that mean more $$$ for your plants? Woohooo.. good trade off, Randall!
Would love to have more irises next year.. there goes my promise :D But I think I'll concentrate on more camellias since they're truly maintenance free and so prolific here.
Cindy, you're a pro at candle making! I have some empty jars laying around here, going to dust. One day, I'll send them all to you. I'll make sure to scrape them clean first.
Audrey, Medicare hasn't kicked in for me. No insurance here neither :( So all meds and paraphernelia are paid OOP.
Trisha, have they found the culprit yet? I hope cop killers get a mandatory death sentence, no matter what state you're in. Have you finished putting out Christmas decorations? Share pics will you? Oh, btw, some fussy furbabies prefer Friskies' Mixed Grill to roast chicken.. go figure!
Hey Maid M.. there's always next year for the 'Noles. I am truly disheartened with LSU's performance this year. In fact, that offensive coach should go, if not Miles.
Cookie, you'd be returning to Ohio with a tan!!! Wishing you and hubby a safe trip and next year, at the reunion, you can teach us old chickens the Hula!!
Waving to Crissy.. Donna.. and those I miss...
Ladies, hope your weather's good enough for you all to enjoy the day.
Thanks for the new room Jaye. No, I don't think any more new babies! She has been married before, and she has 7 & 9 year old boys. So it was instant new step grandkids... They have been together for a few years, so they just made everything legal! LOL! They all get along well.
LK glad the wedding went well, we look forward to pictures.
Jaye hope you are feeling better today.
They are looking for the guy. He was in Prison in Arkansas with a Life Sentence for a crime there and he was released! He came up here and has been in trouble with the law constantly since being here and was in jail just last week.
Tina Griswold, the woman officer killed, had been an officer here before going to work for Lakewood.
Have a lot to get done today so better get a start on it. Will check back later.
Yes, Jaye - I know it's all interconnected in my head, and I'm curious to see how my vocal pitch will change. I'm sure it will, somewhat. Maybe you won't recognize my voice anymore LOL Or maybe the canuck accent will still give me away ^_^
Anyway - it will happen when it happens, and all I'm expecting is a relaxed jaw ^_^
Also, it may not happen until well into the New Year. We shall see.
~Susan~
Finally made it back..
Glad to see everyone is keeping so busy with one thing or another.. We are back into our crazy schedule but I think long run it will be well worth it.
Spent the day yesterday butchering and processing the deer all over the kitchen table.. :)
We ended up with 10 packages of about 2 punds each on burger which I ill blend with Jimmy Dean Sausage for lasagna or chili and then the roast and a few packs of back strap that I will use for stir fry.. I have the hide out back and plan on curing it so it can be kept since her fur was so pretty. We really try to use each and every bit we can so nothing goes to waste.. Even a few leg bones will be roasted for Miss Bella...
Today was back to work for Max and myself.. Ugghh this 5 am stuff is really hard when its FREEZING COLD out there.. LOL
Well better run for now
Huggs
Donna
LK Congrats on the wedding!!
I've been MIA needing to get things done around the house, like this embroidering two pillow cases I'm wanting to give to my mom, I've had them a year and don't even have half of the first one done yet, wonder if I can get them done by Christmas? LOL
Busy at work too, no time to talk there!
We need extra prayers for Aaron, things are bit rough right now. I don't have any details but will let when I have any news.
Everyone is so very busy and I'm procrastinating again. Neighbors on the right of us have their lights put up on the house and a couple trees. Looks so nice, maybe it will get me into the mood of the season.
I got a box in the mail today, and DH asked what it was, and I replied, "Plants, of course". Thank you so much Jaye, I'm getting them ready for their first temp. home. The ones from Faye are doing well, so I'll have a nice supply of beauties. Calender will go in my purse, better start marking down special events. Busy will dr. appointments for DH and myself, don't they realize I just don't have time for them.
Prayers for all in need.
Extra prayers for Aaron.
Morning Ladies
We have hot coco, coffee and scrambled eggs with toast ready for everyone.. Tony is not feeling well this morning so it looks as though I now have the day off work to run him to the doctors. Poor thing really looks bad this morning and says he wants to go to the dr's so I know he isnt faking it.. Gonna hang around and wait until 10 when the urgent care opens and take him out there so we are not sitting for hours at the er.. I think while Im there I may have them take a look at my ear as its been bugging me like crazy as well.. Darn cold weather is hard for a Fl acclimated body to adjust too..
Huggs and Prayers to all
Donna
Morning everyone.
Donna, thanks for the coffee. Hope your both feeling better soon. Guess it is that time of year for all theyucky sickness?
Sending lots of extra prayers for Aaron and family.
it is only 43 right now, raining, and cold. It is supposed to drop to 34 this week, so it looks like I will be cutting down some brugs, blooms and all! Sniff!!! I have a pretty yellow one, and the huge white one in bloom, and lots of buds. Wish I could put them in a greenhouse I don't have. Oh well, I will cut them, and have them again next year!
Hope you all had a great nights sleep.
Well it looks like Tony just has a head sinus cold.. Hes feeling better already which is a good sign. He ran errands with me (pay bills, grocery, bellas tags) since the doctors didnt open until 11am and is running around like he was fine all along.. Decided he didnt wanna go to the doctors and opted for some nyquil for at night and says if he doesnt feel better by Saturday he will go to the doctor after I get off work..
LK it COLD here too.. lol We had ice out on the back concrete and the windows on the truck were a bear this morning to get scraped off.. I cant wait until we get another vehicle so I don thave to run Max to work in the mornings.. :) The upside is almost all of my plants seem to be doing well even the ones outside. Of course I tried to stick with what I knew would live (or hoped would) outside and brought a few inside to he basement.. Would have a shelf full if I had any angels..
Well better run for now and get some cleaning done since Im home
hi y'all, am talking to jaye as i type. she wants me to tell y'all she is having puter problems, and won't be online for awhile. she is fine and sends y'all hugs and prayers
Hey ladies...I'm here and won't be gone. We've cancelled our trip. Bill's brother is in Intensive Care in Florida with a blood infection and he's really worried that he might lose him. So the trip is off. I think you all know that I wasn't that thrilled about going during the holiday season, so I have mixed emotions. I will be putting my tree up now though!
Good to see you posting, Sis!
Hey kathy, thanks for the info on Jaye! What will she do with out her computer! Probably spend more time with all her fur babies!
hey Cookie, how you doing? Sorry to hear about Bill's brother in the hospital. Sending prayers for him.
Just a quick check in this morning...Aaron pulled through....he will have another surgery today.... looks like among the many other injuries he still has a partially collapsed lung and my lose a kidney. He is having some clotting problems and has been put on a blood thinner.
We are getting Sunshine today! It is cooling down, only mid forties in the day and low thirties at night. Don't know why, it is only December! It has been an unusually warm fall for us...wonder what winter will bring.
They got the guy who killed our police officers!! They have made, and plan to make more, arrests of people who were helping him elude police. One is the getaway driver after the shooting. I hope they all get locked up for a very very long time!!
Kathy, waving to you~~~ hope things are going well.
Jaye, hope you get the computer issues solved and get back here soon.
Have a lot to do....the Club Christmas Party is tomorrow night..... DH's big 60 Birthday is Thursday....mom's car is in the shop to the tune of over $1500 so have to take her to run her errands....when it rains it pours!
Waving to all I have missed. Have a great afternoon....will check back later.
Cookie sorry to hear about Bill's brother...will keep him in our prayers.
checking in- picked up a load of manure down in Fuquay Varina, picked up a 94 lb sack of portland cement (freebie) at NCSU campus - yup -I picked it up. hadto make sure lifted with knees and thighs and not back. wentto exercise class and sat a looooong time in the hot tub next to the strongest jet at mid back level. picked up a couple free wardrobe boxes onway home.
my exercise buddy/old HS friend says he's beginning to feel the workouts in his middle - it's sore.
going outsideto chop down young pines, rake area smooth, throw the boxesover top where they were growing, then unload manure onto that. I've run out of space where it's easy to unload soil materials, so I'm making one.
I'm talking to Jaye & it's her internet that slowed down to an almost stop!!
Susan
Tell her we said Howdy! Sounds like she needs a new computer for Christmas?
Hey girl;
I'm so glad that November us gone and done
with. Hoping this month will be easier on me
This yr it was 1 stop n shop for every1. 10 giftcards
for $25 per. Done. Yes I wasn't in the mood
to shop or wrap this year. Now timeto start saving
in the penny jar for next year. Lol
hey ladies, please check this out
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1059952/
checking in again. got the pines cut and the area raked. Ruth helped me off-load the manure. Since that, have been breaking down and loading up free moving boxes, a ton of clean packing paper, too. The cardboard will go between the iris rows at myremote garden.
what's this? Jaye without a computer! the world as we know it might end!
Trisha, you are as busy as me! know the feeling of driving parents around toowell. That is good news on Aaron. [spacebar stillsticking] The evening news reported they shot and killed the suspect. I sure hope they got the right guy!
OH, Cookie! sorry to hear about both your trip and Bill's brother! y'all are in my prayers.
Hang in there Donna. Iremember when we moved from NC to Idaho. our first winter was 43 below zero (without the wind chill factored in). my southern body was in agony. 2nd winter was easy. Hope Tony gets to feeling better. Hot cocoa for breakfast! must be winter! Love it!
Susan, good luck on the jaw.
Linda Kay, my MIL got two instant new grandkids ages 9 and 11. She was truly a grandmother to them, which was great because their paternal grandma dropped out of the picture almost as so as I remarried. We never heard why, she lives here in town. New MIL (in South Dakota) treated them as if they were her natural grandkids. She was an angel. They love her, and she became a very dear friend to me. I love her so much I named Ruth for her.
ok - jaw is old news........ when I hear news about it, I'll tell. After all, it's been this way since I was 16 and it's just part of me, like a limp lol
I know there are much more interesting things than my ole jaw, so let's deal with them. I'm not being snarky, just that people like Tubby/Shirley, Aaron, and Jaye (WITHOUT INTERNET????) are much more in need of typing-space LOL
(end of topic/soapbox!)
((((((((Tubby/Shirley))))) miss hearing about you - it's been over a week. I pray that things are going better.
Trisha - good to hear that Aaron's pulled through the operation. He's young, and that means he's got a lot of strength for this. Saying prayers for him.
♫♪~Susan~♪♫
Good Morning Ladies
Jimmy dean Skillet creations and coffee are ready for this morning...
O my and Jay without internet.. Thats no good at all .. Hope you get back soon friend..
Kathy good to see you posting again. I signed up for your swap for the Kitchen Towels :)
Bon wow you were really busy with the manure for sure. Sound salot like you should honestly have a nursery going down there..
Trisha Sending continuing prayers for Aaron..
Spent the night last night in the recliner.. We ade our own pizza subs and I forgot they were in the oven for the second go around.. Well I wentto run up the stairs and my oes slipped off the step and I gouged my shin down the step... OOOOWWWWWIIIEEEEE
Had a bag of ice on it for a good 2 hours last night. Its still really ore this morning but I have to work since I was out yesterday for Tony. He just got out of the shower and says he feels better than yesterday.> Nyquil really works..
Well better get ready for work.. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Huggs to all
Morning Glory!
haven't tried the skillet creations yet. sounds yummy. (could Jimmy Dean make anything not good?) Thanks Donna. Keep the coffee coming. And take care of that shin. just reading that made mine hurt - OW!
it's rained on all my boxes. they'll be a soggy mess and no good to reclaim for shipments. well, they were mostly meant for between the iris rows anyway.
ohhh- rain and storms predicted for today, high dangerous winds- so I can't offload it the boxes today. they'll stay tied down in the truck. And not a day to go see that coffee table on craigslist for sale - I couldn't bring it home without it getting soaked. Sounds like a good day to be planning cookie-geddon!
Spoke to Jaye & Kel last night - they're going to see if their server will reset (ping) their system. I know this worked for "Maid M", and may for them.
Also mentioned "deleting" the modem from their control panel and reinstalling it.
That sometimes works, too.
Here's hoping.............
~Susan~
Hello everyone!
Looks like were all having problems with computers. My modem keeps going out, looks like I will need a new one soon.
Thanks for the breakfast Donna. Sorry to hear about your leg! OUCH! Hope it is a litle better today! That is one tender area to scrape like that! We are supposed to have snow and temps of 30 here Friday night, so I need to go and cut my brugs down. I think, since most of them are NOIDS, I may purposely leave some in the ground, and see how they do? Maybe some mulch on them?
Off to go get meds from the pharmacy. Geesh, they keep going up in price each month!
Later
ooooooooh Donna - I scooted back in the thread to see what you'd done to your leg. OUCH!! Don't you be doing these kinds of things to yourself! (pulling out the stern face!!)
Take care of yourself, Donna, please.
LK - I hear ya on the meds..... they should give us a break, cuz we Need 'Em lol
~Susan~
Afternoon everyone.....beautiful sunshine here today but is it cold!!!! was in the mid 20's last night and there is still frost on the ground at eleven thirty! Brrr. If I have to be this cold I want snow to go with it.
Heard all kinds of sirens down the street at about ten last night so the dog and I took a walk...they had a chimney fire in the duplex where my son used to live. It was out by the time we got there and I got out with my phone or camera....there were at least five fire vehicles, a light truck, the police.... the most excitement we have had since they arrested the drug dealer across the street from there about a year and a half ago.
Sure hope Jaye and Kel get the problem worked out soon!
Ouch Donna, I have done that before and it is not fun!!
Stay warm, stay dry.
Donna--you better be more careful!!! Do I have to come up and scold you in person?? hehe! Glad Tony is feeling better!
Yikes!! Jaye without a computer??? That is a catastrophe!!! Hope you are back soon Jaye--you will be sorely missed.
Trisha- My prayers are still going out for Aaron. He is young and hopefully will be strong enough to fully recover.
Susan--hope the jaw is better soon. You have had to deal with it for quite awhile so hopefully you will be in great shape soon!!
Bonjon--that sounds like alot of work, but you will have some great gardens next year with the fertilizer!!
Linda Kay--hope you resolve your computer Problems!!
Pegi--I am loving the fountain!!! I also posted on the concrete forum that it is Lori's Birthday--jump in and wish her a good one!!
We are getting some heavy rain and winds right now. Loving the rain but don't much like the wind!! I have blooms on my brugs that just opened up today and hope they survive!!
Will get back here whenever I can--work schedule is crazy right now and not much computer time
Have a great evening all!
~Linda~
Linda - I'm in Great Shape now lol (I have double the shape I should have LOL)
Here's a funny for ya:
I just had a call from a Charity asking me to donate some of my clothes to the starving people throughout the world.
I told them to Go Away!!
Anybody who fits into my clothes isn't starving!!
~Susan~
Morning everyone!
Coffee is on!
Jaye you got your computer working yet?
Thought I'd better check in so I don't get lost. I'm almost finished making my Christmas batch of candles. I went shopping last night to help my daughter pick out some panels for her livingroom windows. We were able to find what she wanted in Sears and they were having a great sale. She got some 100% silk pillows that were $32 for $9. She kept saying "I think they made a mistake" Then to Winco for grocery shopping. Boy she knows her way around that store. We zipped up and down the aisle and were done in no time, lol. Was fun, I haven't shopped with my daughter in a long time. Today I'm going to make her some burgandy candles to match the panels and pillows ( I hope I can get them to match). She is having a Cookie Lee party so she wants her house to smell pretty.
Good morning
LK thanks for the cofffee I needed to warm up..
Susan.. LMAO thats what I would have told them too. I donate everything locally and figure close to home is always a great place to start when it comes to charity.
Cindy it sounds like you had a great time shopping with your daughter. I always love shopping with my mom even if its widow shopping. I bet the candles will turn out beautiful and will match up just right..
Linda no need to scold me I promise I didnt do it on purpose.. lol Glad to see you posting again..
Well today is my day off so after dropping off Tristen at school I took Bella to the park for a nice walk around the ponds... Apparently we are the only crazy two out this morning in the cold.. There was one person there sittig in the car and I think hey decided it was too much for them because they left pretty quickly... Heck my fingers were frozen before we got back to the truck.
My shin is still alittle sore but feeling much better. I have a nice sized bump about 4 inches long done the front of my shin.. Max rubbed the ankle out last night and I was able to get it to crack which was so nice it really released the tension.. Im On The Mend.. LOL
Well better get the kitchen cleaned up. I think Im going to the library after I meet Max for lunch so I may ot be back until later.. who knows..
Huggs
Donna
morning all, such a dreary morning it is here
Hello everyone. I just cut down my brugs, so if anyone wants any cutings, please send me a dmail. I have a white one, a dark yellow, and a pink, and a bunch of NOIDS! I have them all soaking in big bowls of moss, so also let me know when you want me to send them.
Hey kathy, Donna, Cindy. Glad you all are popping in now and then.
Cindy, sounds like you are busy making a lot of candles.
Donna, glad to hear your on the mend.
Kathy, how you doing after your surgery? You in therapy yet?
just got back from the bank. someone used my debit card at BUY.COM
