Best/Worse/What did I learn today?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

OOhh! forgot to mention that they got the guy who killed our Police Officers! They have also arrested the person who drove the getaway car, and several people who had been helping him elude police. I hope that when they lock them up that they throw away the key.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is great news!
Sad that our system, lets creeps out of jail in the first place!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Well the shooter was hot and killed last night when he refused to stop of police...so there will be no long expensive trial for him...and don't have to worry about him getting out again. But they figure by the time they finish the investigation they will have arrested at least eight people who were involved with helping him.

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG...thank goodness the families of these police officers will not have to go through a trial...prayers for their families...can you imagine, helping the murderer out..let's hope they get all who have...

Prayers also going out for Aaron and Tubby...

For those of you who had snow last night, has it melted, no signs of snow here this evening...long term forecast says it will be nice for the next week...bringing us closer to the end of the year..it was a long winter last year...

Tub is filled, supper is on so it's a relaxing evening for me, still not feeling up to par, something is going around..left work 1 hr. early, going to get cozy..have bingo cards but doubt I'll be awake that long..of course, Greg called to say he was dropping in, he won't if all the lights are out for sure..lol

Hope you are all enjoying your day..

Glenview, IL

Hellooo.

Wow Betty you got snow!! it was in the high 50's here today so took advantage of the beautiful weather.
So glad you are able to get a little rest in... Your workshop looked like it was so much fun...he,he,he enjoyed seeing the same picture three times! you know always seem to see different things in each, had to giggle over it, was glad you figured out what was up.
Did you get to take a little snooze at office? Oh by the way, thought your tree was beautiful and the blocks too! Did the neices like them?

Trisha, Thank goodness, that killer won't be killing anyone else, and I do hope they catch the others that helped him.
So sad for the family...
I was glad to see you got to go for a nice bike ride the other day...

Always keeping Tubby and Shirley in prayer, I do hope we here something soon too.
Also Keeping Aaron in Prayer too, I do hope his surgery was a success.

Ohh, Linda Kay, so Happy to hear the Wedding day was so beautiful. Sounded like a wonderful day, Casual weddings are so nice too.
Yikes, I didn't know it snowed in TX. Glad you are home...

Crissy, i am so glad you and Dave had such a nice Thanksgiving.

Hiya Mary, Wow, thats cool you still have any Blooms!! My last daisy finally dried just before Thanksgiving. Couldn't believe it hung on that long...Well I hope your work week goes well for you.

Susan, glad you got to work on your lights, so sorry you got such a terrible headache from that, sure hope you are feeling better now.

Liz, such a nice surprise to hear from you yesterday. Glad to Granny is doing better...LOL, I figured you were going nuts with the Garage sale...get everything priced? LOL, covering my head from getting dinked! Yikes, will keep praying for no rain for you this weekend.
Good luck, sell everything!

Well, kids had a late start date, so busied myself with the sock brigade! Took a while to get them all sorted, then did the drop off.
Holy smackers, Steve found a Hobby Lobby out by us on accident, so went right after to check the place out. Good heavens, was lost in the store for almost 2 hours, dreaming and wishing I had more then 20 dollars, lol...you bet ill be going back there.
Anyway when I got back, decided to start my wreath for my old neighbor...Still can't believe she called me specifically to make her one...happy as punch it turned out pretty good. My hands are beaten up though, but if she is happy it will be worth it.

We had a real nice Thanksgiving dinner here at home. Steve did all the cooking which has been traditional since we have been married, lol. It was wonderful. MIL and SIL game for that. Started off real nice untill MIL lost her balance and fell! Thank goodness she didn't get hurt seriously. SIL, hit the roof over her falling, through Hissy fit, Yelling at MIL for falling. Beleive it or not Bit my tongue, almost drawing blood, but DH took care of the situation. My kids were in shock, not at the hissy fit, they seen that before, but at DH and her going at it. They wal;ked away shaking their heads. So after we got her up, and found she was ok...everyone calmed. Alissa, was able to join us too.
We were one space short at the table and so someone set a a plate on the counter! UHHH, No way I am not having anyone set seperate, lol...I made it fit in the corner of the table next to me. We even made a plate for Skittles. LOL.

Making a new post to tell about the weekeend.

Here is my Trash to Treasure wreath.
LOL, trash only because We Pruned our Tree and I saved the branches from certain fires!
Oh and it's not decorated because Mrs. B has stuff she wanted to put on it..

So we had a gorgeous weekend up in Wisconsin.
Our cousin Mike joined us for the first time.
His is sort of a very sad situation, you see he is rather abused by wife and daughter!
None of which anyone is pleased about, so i don't say much because he catches grief from everyone in the family over it.
He don't need us to add to it. Howver he does know how we feel. Anyway, We were thrilled to pieces his witch let him come for the weekend. He was so Happy, so himself, had a blast. We enjoyed our other cousins company, they have not seen eachother since Jakes grad. last june. So this was very special...On Saturday, We had dinner in the Kitchen!! First time ever, so I was thrilled.
Then the weather was still so beautiful..Daytime it was almost 60! So I sanded 2 of the chairs. Then that night Cuz wanted to have a bon fire so we did that too...Then the kids all enjoyed being at the house with No friends, watched movies, listened to music and all enjoyed crafting. I tought Jake how to make a Dream Catcher on TG day, so he was Thanking Willow tree for her branches and got to work! Breenie, watched and decided to make one too. Julia kept busy with another key chain...They were up until 2:30 working and Talking to Cuz...I was almost in tears when they told me He doesn't talk much at home and just enjoyed his visit with them.
So Thankful, He was able to be himself.
Sunday we all packed and I finally was able to glue the puzzles together...Next mount them and hang! Came home nice and early...

So, that was the weekend. Thanks for reading all about, from your blabby friend.lol.

Here the Dreamcatchers...Most are Jacobs, One is Breenies and one is mine. and Julia keychains.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Oh wow - what an array of dreamcatchers!
Good to hear that Mike got to enjoy himself (AS himself lol)
Wanna toss some of your nice weather here?!
Skittles looks like she's really preening lol

I'm beginning to believe my headaches aren't from overwork, etc. More likely my jaw was tensing up because DH wasn't helping (he was inside, on the couch, watching movies......). If that's the case, my clenched jaw will get released in the New Year :-)

Pretty in Pink and a casual wedding, eh? Cute! I'll bet it was beautiful.

We had snow here, then it almost melted. While it was here, it was NASTY! (reminds me of the song "Slip Sliding Away.........." don't know if that's the name, but it's sure Part of it lol)

Well, time to do a whole bunch of housecleaning. Thursday night we're at practice, and Friday afternoon we're off to Edmonton to a Christmas party, so I have to have the house decent when our neighbour comes by to care for our cat!!

♫♪~Susan~♪♫

Victoria Harbour, ON

Judy it sounds as though you had a perfect Thanksgiving, surrounded by family, doing things together, what could be nicer...even the weather co-operated for you...sad when you think some kids growing up never have fond memories to look back on...I'm sure you've all given Mike a feel of what a home and Thanksgiving truly is about...

Love the wreath Judy...am sure she'll love it...sooo pretty..

Look at those dreamcatchers, excellent job...I've got the red one you sent me in my bedroom...actually I've quite a few of your pieces set out for Christmas...the santa, my beaded sock and also you twined a few poinsietta's together and they are on kitchen counter so you are part of my Christmas...

Susan, don't you just hate it when they aren't out helping and you just know you have to get all decorated before the bad weather starts...that's one thing about living on your own, if it doesn't get done then it's your own fault..lol so don't want to fight with myself so I get it done in a timely fashion...

Hope the weather co-operates for your drive this weekend..you'll be in the lap of luxury at that hotel..must take photo's and share...

Well, wasn't feeling well (NO, not because I'm overworked) think I'm coming down with something...left the office at 3:00 cam home, hot bath, p.j.'s and no sooner put a blanket over me as I layed on the couch the telephone rang....

Kyle wondered if as he had a free night could he come and work on Christmas presents..his grandma/grandpa's (adoptive) and also Jan and Charley (bio grandparents) didn't have the heart to say no...

Got out the tools, wood and I sat giving step by step instructions which I may say he following to a 't'...

He enjoyed this because he'll be 14 next week and it's not seen as doing 'crafts' with grandma it's WOODWORKING!
lol, totally a different story for a teen..

Greg picked up the wire for the handle and it was much too late to make a base, we're leaving that for another day but he was proud of what he accomplished and so was I....

Plugged them in, turned off the lights and admired his works of art...

He took a photo on his cel phone, guess he'll show his shop teacher today..when Melanie picked him up he was so excited that he had to bring her downstairs and show her...

Who knows, maybe I'll have a helper ....

Those lanterns look Fabulous! Tell his shop teacher we all said so, too - maybe it will increase his grade lol

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I agree, if he's not getting an A something is very very wrong!

Prayers for Aaron and Tubby, plus my mom is in Washington DC tonight, driving to Baltimore tomorrow, dr appt on Friday and I hope and pray and hope and pray this doctor will agree to cut the nerve, and maybe even schedule the surgery for early next week so she doesn't have to drive all the way back home then back to Baltimore again in January. I hate them driving up there in the winter, we don't come from snowy or icy areas and they're not used to traveling in it.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

crissy, keeping your mother in our prayers as well.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Crissy - your mom is in my prayers........

Victoria Harbour, ON

Crissy adding your mom to my prayer list....what snow we've had has now melted, am sure they'll be ok..long drive for them..just maybe this time they'll be able to relieve her of her pain...

So glad you and Dave enjoyed your Thanksgiving...bet I know what you had for supper tonight? that was a mighty big turkey..

What have you been up to Trisha? can you believe Christmas is but weeks away...bet that little ones' adrenaline is pumped up..what is she asking Santa for this year?

Susan, are your bags packed..hubby looking forward to weekend away?

Linda Kay, waiting to see those photo's

Girls just left, all happy with their projects...omg told them to bring greenery for the project and I think they brought the forest..

We decided that next week will be our last week until the new year..they want to do 2 flower arrangements so I'll pick up what's required and we'll have ourselves a fun night...

let me see....3 more days until major commitments are all over, and 7 more days to play flower arranging with the girls then this gal is closing down Santa's workshop...can't wait...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Forgot to say thank you on behalf of Kyle..I sure do enjoy his visits...Greg dropped in tonight, had him cut wire for the lanterns, told him I've lost strength in my wrists because of the few falls I've taken, leave it to him, said for me to stop making excuses, I'm old and that's why..no wonder I shusshed him out of here...

Have to set the alarm in order to get up early...lots to pack up for class tomorrow night as well as the lantern planter I did tonight for Paul as a Christmas gift...

Best of my day...finally getting all that wood out of my craft room

Worse of the day...still dieting and yet I've put on 2 lbs...not good...

what did I learn today...that even though one isn't feeling the best, if you keep at it you forget all about your aches/pains....

Love having all the trees in the house, outside lights etc. but lordy it takes about 20 minutes to shut them all down..lol

Night / night
Good Lord willing we'll gab tomorrow

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

nope, bags aren't packed - DH hasn't gotten them out of the shed yet, and I'm not sure what I'm wearing LOL

my DB gave me tomorrow afternoon off, so I can shop for prezzies for the Patient Service Centers that do collections. I love it! It'll only take me 2 hours, and I get 4 off! Guess I'll come home & do more housecleaning lol
I get Friday afternoon off so we can go to Edm. Looking forward to it ^_^

Keeping everyone that needs it, in my prayers ^_^ So many that need them.....

~Susan~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning...

Susan is it formal? I've so many great outfits that I just outgrew and outgrew, not the kind that are lost in new styles so I can wear them..will have to make a point of trying one on...

Almost takes as much time to pack for a few days as it does for a few weeks..never know what to take..are they calling for half decent weather for your travelling?

Just went out to empty my car of the greenery I bought a few days ago, leaving it in the car was like having my own room deodorizer..lol..and it was quite mild..rained heavily last night..hoping this good weather stays for at least Saturday night..don't want anyone driving in storms...

Packing a zillion things in my car that are needed today so I'd best get at it!

Prayers for Tubby/Aaron and Crissy's mom...I'll add a few just incase you need some!

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Surprise! Hello Everyone:
Tubby is doing somewhat better, he is watching TV right now while I type a few words. We have had so many ups & downs that I have sort of lost track of time and what has all transpired since the last time I wrote. None to the cultures from two Craniotomies and two lung biopsies and a Bronoscopy has given us an anwser on what kind of bug Tubby has. He now has multiple blood clots in the lungs and a big one in his leg. They put an IVC filter in so that the clot in the leg can't go anyplace. They have started him back on Coumadin so that will slowly help dissolve the clots in the lungs and hope that he doesn't start to bleed on the brain where they did the biopsies.
Tubby was not working with P.T. for awhile and they were thinking of sending him to an Acute Rehab Facility, it's in a hospital but is there only to build up strength. I don't know what will happen since he refused so many times. The Doc. had a talk with him this morning to see just what he wanted and the goals he wanted to meet. He said he wanted to get better and will try harder at working with them. He did set up for 25 min. and worked his legs and arms. It's a start but he has a ways to go to get to go to Rehab. They still try to talk me into Skilled Care, but I won't give in. I'll take him home or else he will give up.
We have a long road ahead, but we'll take it a day at a time. The girls are going to come tomorrow and stay with their Dad while I go back to the farm and get the heaters in the water containers and check on the food supply and make sure things are ready for winter. I will take some pictures of the dogs and stuff to show him and try to help encourage him to work harder at getting better.
Well, at the moment I can't think of anything else and I better get him tucked in so we can get up early and I can head out early. We'll try to talk to you soon. Thanks for all the prayers and love sent our way. We can never say Thank you enough or tell you how much we appreciate it all. Our prayers and thoughts are with all and hope everyone has a wonderful week. Take care and God Bless.
Tubby & Shirley

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

OH Shirley - it's so good to hear from you, and to know that Tubby's doing better.
It's so right not to let the clot go anywhere! That causes a whole mess of other problems! I guess it's rest/keep your legs up/no excitement, eh? God bless you both for being such determined cusses - but he has to listen to the Drs, too.

Betty - as to the weather - it's supposed to be a bad winter blizzard, with strong winds and blowing snow. We're not taking my car, but rather - taking Bob's truck with 4-wheel drive. He's wishing he had some cement sidewalk blocks to put in the back........
I have an idea of one or 2 outfits I'll wear to the party, but gonna dress Really Warmly for the trip ^_^

Take care everyone, and I'll be online on Saturday, after we get back! (one of the other people going says if it's too bad of weather, they'll turn back - we'll see).

Ciao!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Shirley and Tubby so happy to hear that things are progressing. You are both never far from our thoughts. (((Hugs))) to you both.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

I just prayed and thanked God that Tubby is doing better, especially during the holidays, it causes for a lot of blue Christmases.
Betty sorry I have not been on for ages so I did not answer about the flameless candles. Yes they do look like little candy bars, that melt in a decorative electric warming pot. I wish they would make ones that looked like old victorian tea pots.

Hi all hope your Thanksgivings were great, except B, who already had hers a while ago.

I spend so many hours a day looking for work and doing work related stuff that it really is almost more time consuming of my day, than when I actually work. OMG! It is draining me. I feel for you guys who are having an income or two gone, or likely to go, because it is a very bleak perspective at this time and looking dismol into the future, though I try to hold on to my faith that God will not leave, nor forsake me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wow, lots of you up late last night!

Good morning everyone!
Tubby, and Shirley, so glad to hear from you, and to hear he is on the mend. It will take some time for him to get his muscles back, but tell him were going to kick his butt, if he does not try harder. He needs his strength to go back to home, and start his veggies for next year! Sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way.

Betty, where you at? Your not posting much! I know your busy, but you usually stop to say hello. Hope your doing OK?

Card is for Tubby.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm thrilled to hear from you Shirley and to know that Tubby is still being somewhat ornery. It's that spirit which will carry him through along with a lot of straight talk with the Drs. I'm hoping he will listen just a bit more and strengthen his resolve. Please let him know how much we all care for the both of you and that we'll stand behind him and hold him up when necessary. Maybe we could tap out a cadance for him to excercise to????
Hope this finds you getting some rest too. It can't be easy trying to be with Tubby and take care of the farm too. You have my deepest respect and admiration for all you do.
Thanks again for posting and I hope to hear more soon.
Hugs and love from NH Barb & Norm

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty are you up to your ears in work for your son's party? As you know, we worry when you don't check in. A simple Hi will do!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, I'm here, well rested..haven't been posting much, went back to look at the posts and it was only me/myself and I on so thought I must be boring you all..lol

Shirley, do appreciate your post, we've all been wondering how you are both doing? Tell Tubby he's got to get better because it's hard to find those morning jokes and bits of wisdom...you've a lot on your plate holding down the farm and keeping Tubby's spirits up...with all the technology they have now one would think they could find out the source of his illness...praying that he continues to improve as well as giving you strength for the long road ahead...

Barb and Linda Kay, I finished the portrait of Noah last night and even got it frames which means I won't go to next Thursday night class..lordy, was falling asleep driving home at 11:00pm last night..even got out of the car and did a walk around to wake myself up...that wasn't a nice feeling..

As for today, yuk started with a flat, had the garage down the street come over and repair it, 1/2 hr. late for work..

I've my list made for 'to do's' for the party tomorrow night...think it will be finger food, veggies/dip and then around 10pm I'll order a bunch of pizza's from next door..that's what I'm toying with unless I get energetic and decide to cook...

Have a few sewing blocks I MUST do on Sunday and hem some slacks for MIL but then that's play..Wednesday 'flower arrangement' with the girls and that really is play as well soooo
it's that time, I can stop, look at the lights, cuddle up with the furries and enjoy...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Today is the day for mom's dr appt, I don't remember what time it is though ggrrrrr.

Thank you so much for the prayers for her, the more prayers the better, there can never be too many prayers.

Shirley thank you so much for posting about Tubby, I am soooo glad that he is doing better. May the medicine get rid of those clots so he can continue to build strength and get better. You know that we are all here praying for him constantly.

Susan you and Bob be careful driving in that, I don't want to hear of any mishaps, I'll have to come up there with a wet noodle! LOL

Have a great day everyone, got to dig into work again.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty that is dangerous. Be careful with those late nights. Better to have a flat in your driveway and be a little late for work than on the road.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Crissy will she telephone you and let you know the outcome as soon as her appt. has ended? If it's a consultation they wouldn't do any proceedure right now would they, it would mean another trip east?

What you got planned for this weekend..Dave's working I would imagine?

The other night Crissy when I needed containers for my floral arrangements and looking to decorate a bit more I thought of the Memphis store and so wanted to be there to pick up goodies...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Chrissy, still sending prayers for your Mom. Geesh, she has ben through so many surgeries. I pray she gets this one, and it works for her.

Betty, you need to be careful about driving so tired. Glad to hear you got the sketch all done! I know they will be so thrilled, when they get them.

Todd and I are going to get out Christmas tree th is week-end. I went to Amarillo last week-end, so the tree got put on hold.
This is my son, and his new bride, Misty.

Good Morning!!

What a wonderful way to start the day..
Waiving Hello Tubby and Shirley, sending Hugs and continued Prayers.
I am so glad to Hear Tubby is doing a little Better. Now come onTubby start working your muscles so you can go home and heal
faster...LOL, don't make us gang up on you. Shirley, I am glad your girls are coming so you can get things at the house done. I know it's a rough Road for everyone in your family, including the pets. I pray for your continued strength to endure all. You are an inspiration.
I do hope you will be able to get in a nice Nap too.

Dawn!! So good to see you. Yikes, sure know how searching for a job is. Yes very time consuming and I will keep you in prayer to not get discouraged...I hope you had a grand Thanksgiving as well.

Susan, Please be careful on the roads, Hope your trip is grand. Is this the Choir trip or for work? Well, if it is the choir, I am sure you will sing beautifully! Did I read somewhere you were doing a solo? lol, maybe I dreamed that...At any rate, just loved to know you enjoy singing, I adore choirs...Giggling here, you were right Skittles was grooming, but i thought it was cute to see her little chest all puffed up.

Waiving Hi to Barb and Linda Kay. Are you keeping busy? Lots to do in such short time. Whew, in a whirlwind myself.

Crissy, How are things going with you? Keeping your mom in prayers as well.

Liz, Woohooo...The big weekend has arrived. Sell all the stuff and then some. Hope the nice weather holds out for your garage sale.
Sorry, can't afford a uhaul to drag my junk up! ROFLOL...But crossing fingers you have a great sale.

Mary and Debbie, youhooo...Know your busy, so waiving hello and looking forward to when you can take a break to chat away with us.

Betty, Betty, Wow! you continue to amaze me with all you get done in the day. Yikes, i hope you won't have any more late classes. So dangerous to be driving while that tired...Beleive me, i have witnessed Steve Dozing off a time too many. Good heavens so scarey!
At any rate, I am real glad you took a step out side to wake up...OMG, Kyle did such a wonderful job on his Lantern. Certainly he has received an A!! Isn't cool, how the boys get into the crafts, er, uh, I mean woodworking, lol. So great to see how proud he is of his project!

I wish to say Thank you all for the nice words about all the Dream Catchers and my Wreath.
That wreath did my hands in. Swollen and beat up, lol that will teach me to not wear leather gloves. Very dumb, but hey I learned something that day!
I have thought about you all in the last couple of days, and Truley have missed you.
Steve and i had a big comotion over the computer use, so much that I was being stubborn and kep myself busy around the house and my crafts. ..I had my say over it...Can you believe, he thinks all i do all day is play on the computer!! Grrr...I said, and what this house gets clean all by itself, Your drawers are over stuffed with what dirty laundry? OMG, I was one infuriated woman...So, we got off our chest what was bothering us...Mostly for him it's stress! Duh, You need to take a break, get things taken care of..In the first place, i can not help, if You don't tell me what you need...My big issue, I am still waiting to get paid. for all the work I have done for him in the last 2 months!
I am at the point of Oh well, whatever...But don't take crap out on me because all my stuff is done and your overwhelmed with all your stuff.
So, i decided to change my routine very slightly, lol...Wait till he leaves to come on...sneaky pete i can be, heehehe.
Anyway, Once my hands settled down, i got right to work on another project. Liz sent me these tiny little sticks, thought I would try and create one of those adorable little chairs...Uh yikes, cut my finger with a knife, thought I would have to get stitches...So showed DH my owie, he goes and gets a I dunno, like wire cutters for me to use...ROFLOL, how stupid i am, Duuuhhhh, Got my pruners out and wholloa, cut those stupid sticks lickity split...Finished that little project. Then, made us a small wreath for our door. Awe, even i like it, turned out real pretty...Going to make a big one for the front of the house, but i decided I will go and get the boughs from the Chrismas tree stand so they won't be so dry, would like to put lights on that one...

Julia went to the doctors yesterday. She has had a very bad rash on her feet. So grown up my baby is, made the appt. went and got her own meds...Turns out its an allergic reaction to her work boots! So, Her birthday is next Saturday, We went and got her an early Birthday present..A new good quality workboots. She is doing well with work and school. Much of her free time has been working on the computer!! LOL, She has a major team paper to do and group presentation. So lots of research.

Sabrina is doing ok too. Today she is going to see a councelor! My goodness, maybe i am doing something right afterall, she made the appt herself. She doesn't like the school councelors and she doesn't talk to us when something is wrong...So i am proud of her to take the next step and talking with a counselor...I told her how proud i was at her decision, sometimes it's best to be able to talk with someone.
She has been staying late at school, goes to a paranormal club..we are glad she found something that interests her...If she is not at the club then she has been getting extra help in a few of her clases. Been doing well with it too...

Jake is never home, he spends all of his waking time at school. Wrestling is real good for him. he loves it. Today he has a meet and tomorrow also. He is doing well in school. He also takes woodshop and just loves it. he said right now he is working on Sabrina Christams present! Can't wait to see, lol he won't tell me what it is, cuz it's a suprise Mom!!

Steve, Well he is busier then ever. main concern is things will settle down a little bit. We are looking forward to going to Floria for the New Year. he has to have knee surgery in January, so that is on his mind too. Poor guy just needs to take a rest!

Well, Sabrina has also goten into the decorating mood. She started the mantle. We decided to dedicate it to the Angels this year...I still have to find a couple more...

Thats what I've been up to, oh and Had to take my car in, grinding breaks, oil change and the something or other in my heating went out.
Enjoyed some snow yesterday! Today sun out...Oh I went and decorated Jumangi for Christmas, LOL, the critter must have been curious because today she's bent over forward, sigh.

Finger still is very tender, taking me forever to type...
So will bid you a good day. ROFLOL, sent DH up to Cottage...Cats away, sneaky pete here WILL play on computer more! hehehe.
LOL, now, will go back and see who has posted while I've been typing!
Here's a picture of my lil wreath.

Hey Judy, sounds like you are staying buy. Love the wreath. Wish I knew how to put one together, I usually just buy one made, or buy a grapevine wreath, and put things on it...
Hope your finger heals fast.

wow Judy, that was an update...

You can always tell when DH's are overworked or things not going well, find something to complain about..lol..I usually keep my place quite clean, one day Roger was going on and on, omg he even took his finger and ran it across the top of the refrigerator and found 'dust'..yikes..hey, I'm 5', last place I seem to dust...wasn't a happy camper, got to tell you..last time he did that!

Didn't know Judy you were going to Florida again this year..what part and when...not sure what I'm doing yet, must decided soon...did mention to mom, they just had new roof put on cottage and now replacing all the windows..quite a building mess..she's going with Aunt Muriel end of January so not sure she'd want to go twice in such a short period of time..we'll see...you know me, think nothing of taking off on my own..

The kids aren't kids anymore are they Judy..all grown up and yes, you should be proud...with some working now, would they be able to go to Floriday with you or would you and Steve be honeymooning..lol

Liz, wish I was at your place as well..know you have many treasures I'd love in my place , not that I need them...

Well I'm still shaken and bit teary..went to Sobey's at lunch to pick up the cake for Jeff, about a block away, I noticed a man loose his footing, not sure if it's because of the wind or drunk, he fell off the sidewalk curb and rolled right into my pathway, in order NOT to run over him without looking I veered into the other lane..not a good thing, but someone in a vehicle would have a better chance than my running over this man...to think I could have run over and killed him is not a good thought...guess it's instict moving into the other lane and taking a chance no one was there but I might have put someone else in danger...wow, what do you do????

So I sit here, caused me to drink, gave up pepsi but went to the refrigerator and got one to settle my nerves...

ohhh cake is cute...I'll have to take a photo should you wish to see it..

Oh Betty, Glad you did not hit him or another car! Geesh, that has to be so nerve racking for sure. Maybe you should put something stronger in that pepsi? Do you know if the man is OK?

As I passed in other lane LindaKay saw him get up, little unstable, dust himself off...worse would be the falling and hitting pavement..thank goodness...I just keep thinking I could have killed somebody's dad at Christmas time...settling down now

Glad to hear is OK. That was a close call!
