I've been up since about 5:30am and would you believe I only took time to have a 1/2 hr. supper and just taking a 10 minute break now..still have about 3 hrs. work then I can relax and not worry that everything will be ready for all the girls coming tomorrow...

Today my sister Sharon and her friend Jenny came..they went home with their workshop piece, 2 iris folding cards (which they loved doing) and a floral arrangement...

No sooner had they left that Cathy and her mom dropped in, said I'd visit while having din/din - even shared but that I couldn't stop because IF I did that would be the end of me...

Continue making a few floral arrangements, have about 8 more to do but thought I'd wait until after the class tomorrow just to make sure I've wet oasis left and greenery..

Had my sister stop at the rose greenhouse on her way from the city and pick me up baby's breath and roses...

OMG she bought me a extra large poinsettia for the living room for Christmas...much appreciated..sure hope I can keep it alive at least until Christmas...had a gift, forgot to give it to her..must send it with mom next weekend but made her a large floral arrangement in her colors and she loved that...

so now I'm counting handles, wood pieces for tomorrow's project making sure I've not forgotten anything, vacuum up sawdust, a little bit of dusting and hey I'm ready....

Talk about waiting for Christmas....Missy, sound asleep amongst the Christmas gifts...not sure why she has chosen this area but when you want to find her, on the pressies she is...

While I work all the furries find corners of their own to rest...now look at Riley..this time of year she enjoys resting with a friend..

Best I go finish what has to be done and snuggle into bed...speaking of beds, decided to put my Christmas quilt out...won't I feel cozy?

Best of my day...enjoying the day with my sister Sharon..
Worse of the day...not taking time to smell the roses, and roses I have ...
What did I learn today...no matter how organized I think I am there always seems to be an abundance of work...

My Shadow (CAT) loves my electric blanket ! She has cozied up to DH all night...and now on it by herself....Thank God LSU WON! so DH can rest!

Hope to get Christmas Tree up soon...DH has to work MOST weekends coming up...so we'll see what happens...

You are just getting over Thanksgiving, must be hard to switch from one holiday to another in a matter of days..

we've been about 1 1/2 months since our Thanksgiving so it's time to move on to the next..which I have...hmmm...

Mary, our weather here is superb..just went out to put wood on the back pit so that if it's not raining tomorrow morning I can burn and it's just sooo mild out..

Hard to believe we're less than a month left before the holidays...

about another 1/2 hour then I'm calling it a night...I'll be up early so it will be a short night and long day...thank goodness for Monday, I can put my feet up and enjoy a break..

Me too Mary.....hope to get the tree and other Decor up this week...Mom always gets everything out Thanksgiving night, so I don't have much choice but to follow soon after ....otherwise the duplex looks rather odd with only one side lit up.

Final day of your Thanksgiving, hope it's an enjoyable one...Susan, no I bought that Christmas quilt after Christmas last year..Quilts etc. (of course on mega sale) lol..3 of us bought them..had almost forgotten about it...

Trisha, so glad to hear about Aaron, will continue to pray for him...

Coffee time, need something after 4 hrs of sleep to get that adrenaline going..lol...washing the floors is all that is left and getting dressed then my fun day begins...be nice to get all this wood out of here...

Colors are brilliant Bev...you and Scotty must enjoy sitting (is it warm enough?) on the side deck looking at such a display of colors...lucky you..will have to plant one here so I can enjoy much of same...

It's almost 7:30 - was at Greg's for supper but couldn't stay awake lol so came home, had a bath and ready to call it a night...

The weather here was fantastic, actually most of the girls who were cutting greenery outside were without coats..

OMG we had such a wonderful day..Darlene came over, said she was going to do one but picked up the drill and helped (did more than help) put the units together..

Got to tell you, they were spectacular using live cedars/pines etc. not one girl went home not liking her piece..in fact, all but 2 did 2 and one did 3...

Greg dropped in with the leather jacket he picked up for me as a gift for Kyle for christmas, he just shook his head, said he couldn't stay..when I arrived at his house he could tell I was next to exhaustion..he was slicing cooked ham and I must have been dozing, said 'are we keeping you up mom!' sure were...

Girls busy at work

Before going over to Greg/Mel, Kyle who was visiting came for a ride to Home Depot..ran out of wood to complete 4 other sets that I need for Wednesday night...Kyle like them so much, he's coming over to make 2 for his other grandparents, biological and adoptive...

We plugged in a couple to see what they looked like..the lanterns and the lights in the greenery just added warmth to the project..would think tonight they are all at their doorstep and they are amazed at what they accomplished at this year's workshop...

Needles to say I'm very tired..would exhausted tell you all just how I'm feeling? Good thing, this week I plan my youngest son's 40th birthday for Saturday night, so lots to do but from then on, I'm going to have my feet up enjoying the rest of the Christmas funfare...

Best of the day..enjoying a day of fun with friends...friends who appreciate the amount of time spent making these workshop kits..

Worse of the day...being so terribly tired..

Sounds like everyone is busy busy!

Beautiful Sunshine here today!! Went on the Sunday ride, I have missed the last two weeks! We checked out some new routes and had a very nice outing.

We have all of mom's decorating finished outside so now I can start thinking about my own.
Her car wouldn't start on Wednesday but no one could look at it until tomorrow....we got it moved out of the garage tonight so it will be ready for the tow company in the morning.

Best..... Beautiful sunshine for a few days..

Worst....neighbor in the hospital, and 4 police officers shot and killed in a city about 15 miles north of us....

Learned.... after over forty years in this county and there are still beautiful roads to ride that we haven't seen before.

Judy - I wish I could send in a new pic....the Hibiscus are still in bloom...but there are so many fallen leaves....It's just not at its "Best"....for pictures......

Back to work this week! DH has to work the next 2 weekends so not sure when we'll get a tree.....or decorate....

I'll let the kids decide that.....I've decided it's not in my control.....better that way...

Hi all - tired, and just popped in for a few words.....
busy weekend.
Best - helped decorate the church christmas tree, and also did mine, got a bit of the house lights up.
Worst - over did it, and now getting shooting ice-pick pains in my temple - laid down but that didn't help much.
Learned - I can still bowl with a terrible headache, and sleep isn't always the answer, although it helps........ Learned - I can't do all the "standing on a ladder to put up the house lights", but I can do some!

Well, it's off to have some hot Ovaltine, then to beddy-byes.........

judy, yes busy gathering piles in every room now to put prices on all lol
giggling at susan with the ladder, had the same thing got to the peak of garage and got dizzy as can be, had to get down, my neighbor was laughing at me, told me what were you thinking? i said this never happened to me before!
arrrrrr he said dont you get it your getting old like the rest so move over and let me hang them lol
and as he was hanging the rest guess who comes home from work and gives me the look, omg!
so after john left he said now why did you have him do that? i said he felt sorry for me getting dizzy and besides less for you to do right.
granny is doing good there going to start the interview for a livin so she can go home soon. aside from all of that just busy..

Morning, how lovely to wake up and find you've all enjoyed Sunday and making the best of the weather...outside decorating isn't always fun when it's cold...

I'm sweeping up the sparkles in the craft rooms so I don't end up with glitter all upstairs, getting ready for work, hoping to leave 1/2 hr. early so I can pick more greenery...Wednesday night's girls are doing the lantern project and we used ALL the greenery yesterday..besides, I need some for a few more arrangements...

So off I go, the start of another week, not as overwhelmed with work as I was last week so that's a plus...

Rather than counting how many days until Christmas this girl is counting how many days until next Monday when all prep, workshops, shopping, decorating will all be behind me and I can sit with feet up, enjoying..well that's my gameplan anyway..lol

Betty, looks like you are still busy with all your crafting, and classes... Time to slow down and get some rest. We don't need you to get sick on us!
I am back form the trip, and I got a good nights sleep. It was snowing when I left Amarillo yesterday morning, and I drove two hours through snow and slush.
The wedding went very well, it was a beautiful 77 degrgees Saturday. It was a small simple wedding, no one got dressed up. The bride wore a short pink dress, her favorite color. Everone else was very casual. I will post pictures when I get my camera back from my son. I forgot it at his place, so he is supposed to mail it out today. Hopefully I will have it in a few days!

wow, from 70's temps to snow/slush, that's quite a change Linda Kay..you wouldn't know how to dress now would you...drats, don't you hate it when you leave one of the most important things behind...

Yep am busy...every night this week except tonight so am sure I'll be in bed by 8:00 at the lastest...sitting here working on crochet squares, still lots to do to get Darlene's afghan done..making squares a mile a minute but are they the correct color? lol..better get my list figured out..

Lunch hour is busy each day this week as well..today it's a trip to Garden gallery for greenery and birds ..tomorrow is Michael's for wool...Wednesday it's picking up lights, ivy etc.

Paul is in the office until about 1;30..think as soon as he leaves I'll put my head back and have a snooze

LOL! Just make sure he does not have the camera in hand, when you take your nap.

Needed greenery for the lantern planters and as I'm just too tired and running out of steam decided to purchase it..much easier...ohhhh had so many pretty birds, think I came home with 8..

I am trying to get the house ready to get some decorating done for Christmas, and working on the December quilt block swap. That is all for today.

That's a lot...I kind of took on too much with the monthly quilt blocks..forgot about Nov.Dec. being so hectic for me..can't work on it again tonight...

First prayers going out to Dusty's son and Tubby and Shirley.

I skimmed, didn't read, everything that has been going on, sounds like some good Thanksgivings out there. Mine was wonderful, the whole weekend was wonderful. We just baked our 16# turkey, Dave made all of the fixings for it, then after we ate we went to Eller's house and had some fun there, his dad and step-mom #8 met us there as they just live a block from Eller, then we came home. Saturday was gorgeous here too so we blew and raked leaves, were going to go out but both too tired, Sunday we raked and burned leaves. I pulled a muscle in the top of my foot somehow so I'm gimpy until it heals but oh well.

Today was busy busy busy and tomorrow's going to be the same. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Any of you who are still up please send out extra prayers for Dusty's son Aaron right now, things are a bit rough for him at the moment.... I will let you know if I get any more information.

Couldn't sleep Trisha, tossed and turned, woke up about 1:40 watched a movie and finally by 3am I decided I might as well get up...

Prayers for Aaron...may the Lord watch over him this night!
