I brought the kids to the library, we got a bunch of books and a couple of movies. I put a big pot of cream of tomato soup on....I'll freeze some for my mother's xmas gift (basket of homemade soups & a book) and we'll have some for dinner & lunches.
Still have a bit of a headache from that bug. Smiley how are you feeling?
Dixie you never know it might be a good look, cheaper than transplants *grin*
GYPSIES DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS
This is a deserted, desolate place right now. I'll be back when there's life. Heeeelloooo, just echos I'm hearing.
Pretty funny Lynnie. I'm feeling bleah, but better than before.
Lake effect snow due here tonight & tomorrow, accompanied by thunder & lightening. Now that's a weird thing to see, doesn't happen a lot around here. Of course the lake is still warm, there's a total of 4-6 inches due, but then high in the 40's on Wednesday. Go figure.
Kassy, good luck at the new house tonight.
Dave, is that one of those Bird of Paradise plants you showed once before? Pardon my ignorance on tropicals.
Hello everyone else, Venice, Joy, Dixie, Flowers and JJ! (she must be shopping...)
LOL Lynnie,Gerttie's coming as fast as she can. She is going to make that big thing christmas dinner for them. Lester will carve of course. Smiley, sorry your still feeling yuckie. I guess it's something that has to run its course. Hope ya feel better soon.
Hi again everyone, well its a cold night here already, heavy frost is forcast.I'ts been about 37 during the day,not sure what temp is now ,at just after 9pm.I prefer, frost to rain though, which is what we get in this part of the world if the temp rises to a certain hight in winter.Long as it's cold it's clear.
Moon,I find it hard to imagine such a temperature fluctuation,during the course of one day.Is it always the same every winter?,cold mornings and hot evenings,or is 75 not hot for your area,are your summers extremely hot?75 would be a hot summers day here :}
Kassy,I hope your training goes well in the new house you'll be working in.
I also hope all of you who are feeling unwell, soon start to feel better
Talk to you all again tomorrow, have a good evening everyone.
Joy
Joy, the temperatures here range through the year from a probable low of 20 F to a possible high of 100 F. We do not often get that cold and mayhaps only in late summer do we see those highs. humidity is always a fun factor here, ranging from an average low of 38% (not often) to an average high of 98% (too often)grin We are indeed the hot, humid South.
Hey Lynnie, had fun with the tarantula? They are so cool...grin Maybe you could play aliens vs robots with the spider, vacuum and mop.....grin
Dixie, I can just see Gerttie, head down, bottom up and wings spread....headlong after that big bug....lol. Won't she be surprised when she suddenly becomes airborne grin
Smiley, an old granny remedy is to put a spoonful of Vick's in a pot of gently simmering water and cover your head with a towel and breathe in the steam. Sounds dumb, but it does help.
Kassy, so happy for you. Know you are so looking forward to the new place. And hey, it is like getting a raise when you consider what you'll save in gas and wear and tear on your car...grin

Hi Joy, hope you all are well. Sounds like it's a bit nippy over there. Try and stay warm and dry. 75 sounds very pleasant for your summers. It gets extremely hot where I live during the summer. It does where Moon lives as well. The humidity is terrible . Like a sauna. We all mutate and grow gills. Grin
Flowers, that was lovely. Okay folks, pushing 300 posts so gonna put up a new place to play....grin
