GYPSIES DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS

(Zone 5b)

I'm going to get up any minute & push the button on the robot mop.....

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Oh Lynnie, please be careful not to overtax yourself....that button pushing can be so strenuous....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Get up get up you sleepy heads!
Get up get up get out of bed!
What am I so cheery about? Dixie tried to catch ya but your faster than poo running for that worm lol Dog woke me up barfing, so cleaned that up and got coffee, walked through the living room and stepped in another big pile of barf Ewweeeeee. Good thing had my fuzzy slippers on lol. Can I borrow your robot Lynnie and Smiley yours and Lynnies hankies? Gidjet needs them think she caught your colds.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

yea Lynnie and tell the maid to bring ya some more coffee and donuts lol Morning Moon Dear.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning Flowers...good to see you up and so chipper. Trying to find good things to say about the rain....grin

DH managed to have a bunch of "things" that "had" to be accomplished this weekend....none of them on my list....said it was his Birthday weekend and he should have time to get some of his things done....(B'day not til Wednesday)

Supposed to be sunny Thursday and Friday, so have decided to give every computer mouse TH and FR off.....they and the laptop are going on vacation...(bottom shelf of linen closet cuz DH doesn't know that closet exists...grin) He is off both those days ....evil grin

(Zone 5b)

shoot Flowers if I had a maid I wouldn't have to push the button myself!

(Zone 5b)

ok now what else can I clean? I'm going through kids backpacks they weigh more than the kids.
I don't know if even scooba can handle dog vomit Flowers...we had a hundred pound golden retriever and when he was sick it was just ugly, although he was trained to go outside to be sick if I left the door open for him.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

LOL good plan moon, they just thing they have us by the umm ears lol Lynnie I want it, I would call it R2D2.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I am so silly OCD, if I had a maid I would have to clean before she came...lol Not having one means I can choose what I want to obsess over....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I have done very little since TG so gotta get in gear today. Its raining here too so wont feel bad about indoor work getting done. Think I"ll make the Russian tea mix too, hope its good.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The dogs arent too bad, but all the cats are long-haired...hairball city even with HB control food and weekly HB control additive....but, they all use the bathtub when inside and get "Yakky" so can't complain too much....yes I can...LOL

(Zone 5b)

I think it's a she, she doesn't lock herself in the bathroom, unlike the vacuum, which must be a he. She's working diligently on the floor. Wish I had one to scrub counters hahaha
it's rainy here too.
Moon so if we see you here thurs or fri we should kick you off? ;)

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

No one can do it like we want Moon. When daughters help clean up they move my stuff around and one takes everything off my counter and stores it underneath. I like my toaster, can opener, coffee pot and cookie jar on the counter. So just smile and move it back when she leaves just thankful for the wipeing.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Gotta vacuum and mop and laundry....guess nothing goes out on the line today. I may wait on sheets and towels till Thursday....I love sun dried linens...

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Must have used too much Ttree conditioner on Gidjet in her bath yesterday it does have a quaint smell but keeps cooties down and coat nice lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Oh no, Lynnie....you just have to remind me to come out of the closet.....grin

I will be getting so much accomplished while DH at work that I can take time to play....lol

DH and I are at odds over dish drainer....I hate it on counter as it becomes a catch all for unloading dishwasher...exactly why DH likes it on counter....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Had to wash dog bedding yesterday too, she won't get back in it until its been washed after her bath. Talk about SPOILED!!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Lynnie I dispise dish drainers, so bulky. I put a dish towel on side of sink just for small hand washing of dishes and toss towel in wash about once a week, works great.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Our animals, like our children are products of our own silly rules...grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I mean moon lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Well can't sleep without bottom and top sheet, kids can sleep on top of covers with no sheets, where did that come from not mom lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You are not mean to Moon....lol Hey, it is Monday....I am always just glad i can remember my own name.....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I get tickled at myself on here, sound like my mom thought she was nuts when she did the roll call, now I understand completly lol

(Zone 5b)

I threw my dish drainer out....I hate stuff on counter, but coffee pot is a must have, and computer so i can watch what what the kids are doing....

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Same way here. I watched a site on line for quite a while and managed to get two sets of Egyptian cotton 400 thread count kingsized sheet sets for $35 each. They are heavy to the touch and really nice to sleep on. Got tired of strip bed, wash, remake bed....now I can have a set on the bed, one in the laundry and a backup in the closet for both beds...yea!!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

wouldn't do for me to have computer in kitchen Lynnie, I would burn everything lol I do anyway running back and forth as it is.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Sheets shouldn't have to be such a luxuary but to buy new ones you have to take out a loan!! Get most mine at GW or thrift shops, I'm not paying those outragious prices. Whats a few bumps lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

My mom had a place under the sink and you had better see that the drainer got back there. MIL's on counter all the time....
I keep coffee pot, electric kettle and a crock with woodenspoons/spatulas on counter and tried for a long time to keep compost container under sink....DH would forget to empty it, so it sits beside the sink for daily empty and clean....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

DH was like the princess and the pea, to be so tough he wouldn't sleep if there was one little bump on the sheet.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi everyone! I will go back and read all the morning posts later. But I have a plant question. I hope someone can help me. I think Dave is still sleeping.

My elephant bush is dropping leaves something terrible!!! Ok, I read that I don't have it in the best soil. One recommendation said to use Diatomaceous Earth. But aren't those granules really sharp and wouldn't they hurt the roots?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I once bought sheets that had a high thread count and they were so so soft. However, I wore out the bottom sheet in no time at all!!!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

We have a waterbed Flowers...sheets are not easy to find, unless you are willing to pay $60 to 100 per set....won't give up my bed, but surely won't spend that kinda money either....$35 is a great price...the first set i got online was a "bargain" at $50....but, that set is 5 or 6 years old and just gets softer with wear....and still looks pretty good too.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Morning Venice, sounds like a question for mighty moon. Hope you are well and without sniffles today.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Venice...you need to have the elephant bush in a very light quick draining soil, or soiless mix. You van find soiless mixes at HD or Lowes....often in small bags. It has no real soil in it, just a mix of vermiculte, perlite and sand...how long have you had your plant?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Thanks for asking Flowers. I received a dmail last night and mommy (Dixie) told me to stay out of the weather and drink plenty of fluids! LOL

I certainly am not worse this morning and that is good. Hopefully I have nipped it in the bud, as they say.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I have had it a couple of months. Didn't think too much about it when it first started loosing a few leaves. But now at least half of the leaves are gone!

I have never seen a soilless mix at Lowe's, HD, or Menard's. Maybe I should just call them to make sure I didn't overlook it. And that is what it is called, soilless mix?

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I hear Dr Oz calling, love that man he talks about anything and everything. Will key up off and on today. You ladies take care and get over those nastys Will talk later. Karen

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Here are some notes on care. These are guidelines that you can adapt to your growing conditions

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Venice, do you still have some orchid potting mix? if so, mix it 50-50 with potting soil and repot your EB in that.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

GREAT! I just called Lowe's and they DO have soilless mixes for several different types of plants. Who knew! I guess if you aren't looking for it, you don't notice it. But it is one row over from where I usually go. Another question.

Moon, I assume it would be a good idea to use clay pots. But my question is, should I plant one plant in each pot? They came with 6 in a pot. Also, does the depth of the pot matter? Also same question for my H & C that look really horrible also.
