The only chocolaty plant I grow is Cosmos astrosanguineus....or Chocolta Cosmos.....smells of chocolate but you can't eat it.:}
Venice....we do use hardiness zones here,same all over world I think,I am zone 8,some of southern and western parts of UK are 9.
Moon ...on the where we put coins question,our purses have pockets for coins and compartments for notes[you say bills]to us a bill is something you are given by someone to whom you owe money.We keep our purse in our hand bagLoL
The furniture building is coming along well,should be finished later today.Strange really that it's gone so peacfully:}
The weather here today is sunny and breezy,about 8 or 9 degrees c.i think,that's warm for Nov.I'm going out for a walk soon with my big son Sam 17.We usually do that on Sundays as we share a love of the outdoors and nature in general.
I also have a son Will,14,who prefurs his skateboard:}

Hi Lynn. Hi Joy.

Glad to hear the assembly is going smoothly. What lovely countryside. Nice to have a walking companion...gives you a chance to connect and catch up with what is going on in your son's day to day....Dronfield is about 7 hours ahead of Prairieville, and 14 ahead of Dave in Hawai'i. Dave raises Theobroma trees which produce cacao. He has treated us to the chocolate making process via pictures. That is part of the charm of DG...so many cultures to share and learn from.

I enjoyed reading the purse/handbag/bill differences between the UK & USA. I hope we can hear some other things in the future, Joy. Real nice photo of the countryside. I used to enjoy going to the movies with DS. We would go super-early and get our seat & gab away.

Seeds, yes! pictures of beading projects, please. DD & I have also played with beads, my SIL taught us when we had "craft day" one time. We all brought different things to do. She's been beading since grammar school - she does great stuff!

Wishing every one a healthy happy good morning! It's raining here. The only little joyful faces I've seen this morning so far is Poo ducks. Poo chicks look like they are saying,and looking at the heavens,yeah,yeah what about us? They already have the little floaties on. Thought I heard Lester cranking up the 4wheel drive eariler. Or it could have been the little trolling motor on Poo raft. Timmy say's he gets sick of rowing while Lester stands at the helm clucking orders. I'll have to check on them in a bit,there's no telling what there doing left to thier own devices. Grin

Joy your picture is lovely. Poo's made you a welcome banner! They are all over the yard in 4wheel drive. Spinning donuts and splashing mud. With your banner flapping in the breeze. It's quite a sight.

I have a question, or need ideas. For my BIL & SIL, I want to make baskets for xmas. Already made the snack mustard, am getting pretzels, though of making these really yummie graham cracker sandwich cookies that have chocolate drizzled on them, homemade caramel corn, may even get adventurous and try Dave's chocolate recipe (I can eat it if it doesn't work out!) Kind of a homemade snack basket.

Can anyone add any ideas to this? Thought of throwing in a movie rental gift card, too.

Here ya go Smiley:

Mix together in a saucepan:
2 cups sugar
4 TBS cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick butter or margarine
Place on high heat, stirring constantly. When mixture comes to full boil, cook for 1 minute, remove from heat and
quickly add 3 cups Quick-cook oatmeal and 1/2 cup peanut butter to the mix.
Stir until mixture thickens and then drop by spoonfuls onto waxes paper
(don't wait too long, or mix will set in the pan and you will have to just eat it and start over....grin) You can add 1/2 cup chopped nuts if desired

I know I have spoken to Lester Poo about this. Just waiting for a Poo uprising,they are getting a belly full of Lester's dictator ship. It's only a matter of time. Gonna be feathers flying! Definitely my kind of cookie!

Cinnamon Pinwheels are quick and easy also.

Roll out basic pie crust into a rectangle
Dot crust with butter (liberally)
sprinkle with sugar and ground cinnamon
roll the crust into a tube starting at the long side
slice into 1/2 inch disks and lay flat on lightly greased cookie sheet
bake at 350 til golden brown

It is always so sad when a good Poo goes bad

She wants me to make them all.

I thought of making fortune cookies, but can't think of anything to go along with that theme. Don't know if they all like chinese food, or would buy chopsticks.

hey smiley, there are good hot cocoa mix recipes available. Mix it up and put it in a jar with a pretty top or bow. put a pretty label with directions on the jar and VOILA' instant goodie.
