Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning, Good Morning, it's great to stay up late, Good Morning Good Morning to you (singing in the rain)

DH made omelets this morning....really something to sing about....grin

Hope you all have a smashingly great day today. Spending my day puttering , muttering and occassionally breaking into song.....yeah, right.....grin

Good Day, Sunshine to ya all....

Moon

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Ancient kids song Lynnie....sung to the tune of little rabbit foo-foo. grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

morning guys and gals, glad to hear everyone is still singing lol. Love the song Jim you have talent. OH OH Jellybean Is Here!!!! My great niece was born yesterday morning. 6 lbs 14 oz's. Has lots of black hair and lungs that won't quit. She looks like dad so I'm told. Her three year old sibling nicknamed her while she was still in the oven.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Congratulations Great Auntie Flowers. Best wishes to the new little JellyBean and her family......of course pictures will follow....grin.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Ah, yeah....but maybe just one....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Move it to the left...move it to the right...doing the mechanic shuffle....grin. Have a great day, Flowers..C'Ya later.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Is that like the savoy shuffle??? (rolling stones, I believe?)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Not sure, Smiley...I was thinking with a mechanic it might be more appropriate to "Do the Hustle' .... grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hold the wrench in the right and the drill in the left, do the hokey pokey and then spin your wheels Lol. cya

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Jim, of course I remember 'down by the station!' Haven't heard that since I was a little girl. Thanks for the song! But I don't remember 'little rabbit foo-foo'.

Flowers, so sweet to have little Jellybean added to your family!!!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Little rabbit foo foo walking through the forest, picking up the field mice and bopping them on the head....don't know where it came from, just remember them singing it.

Good Morning Venice.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

The rabbit is bopping mice on his head???? Yuck!

After 2 days of rain and darkness, it seems like it has been raining forever. Out of the next 10 days, we are to have rain for 7 days. Oh, my!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

It rained yesterday afternoon and evening and today our high is supposed to be 60. No more rain til Friday, but steady climb in temps back into the 70's......

So sorry you have so many gray days ahead....know how depressing that gets. Turn on the lights and music....happy thoughts to you....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Here is my contribution to the singing gypsies,; hope it comes in for ya good stuff. http://oldfortyfives.com/TakeMeBackToTheFifties.htm

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Neat site Flowers....thanks for the "blast from the past"....grin

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Flowers, that was great! 'Thanks for the memories!'

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

That was great, Flowers.

(Zone 5b)

wow you guys are old
heeheehee kidding!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I don't know Lynnie, sometimes I feel Methuselah's contemporary...

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

yea Lynnie, was born in 50's but this was still the things I saw. The kids now days really missed out on the good stuff.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Yah, what Flowers said. I was born in '58, but that stuff was still around in the '60's.

A lot of kids today are re-discovering vinyl. I get a kick out of that, we've been saying that for years. Nothing like the richness of vinyl!

I like when something is advertised as being "vintage". Vintage?? That was around when I was a kid. Oh yeah, I guess it is "vintage"....

But that makes us all "vintage" !!

(Zone 5b)

lol I came up in the 80's, I'm partial to one hit wonders *grin* although I love 70's music too (sibling influences)

(Zone 5b)

shoot Smiley 80's stuff is vintage...hey I have a pair of vintage shoulder pads anybody interested hahaha

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I can remember when the tables and chairs and furniture was like those in the video and thought how ugly, but now to have a piece like that in the home is like owning an expensive antique.

(Zone 5b)

I do love those 50's feminine fashions.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The thing I see is that I, myself have been listening to and witnessing over 50 years of music, art and science......that makes me a living encyclopeadia......lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Think we done figured that one out moon lol I thought I had a little sense until I met you ha ha

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

but at least I have Dixie, we can relate LOL Don't hit me Dixie

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

OH My....laughing.....does that mean I've shared with you, or that you made a mistake? LOL

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

That means I'm so glad to know ya and picking your brain is so much fun, don't have to google lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The things we encycs have to put up with.....LOL Thanks Flowers. JUst think how much you'll save on gas....lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

So true and man is it using it right now! It's dreary here and around let me go look, that can't be right, therm. says 64, no way I'm freezing and its raining leaves. Think I need a chocolate fix. Gonna make buckeys, russian tea, and Christmas pepermint candy soon, If I make it now will eat it all.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

My mom used to make buckeyes and Nobake Chocolate peanutbutter oatmeal cookies

Loved them both, but yep, bake them too soon and I will 'wear' them all year....lol

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi! I thought that the only people who made buckeyes were from Ohio where I grew up. You know, Ohio State buckeyes!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

am bad to grab a cup of coffee and a treat instead of a meal, but keep my girlie figure that way. Just wish whoever took it would give it back lol
