No more work in the rain today. Clean up & make dinner.

Might get together with my brother and a couple friends who moved here from the mainland recently. Harvested Sweet Potatoes and have a Ham-steak in the freezer for the occasion so far.

What's on the menu over there?

Turkey, mashed pot, gravy, sweet pot. baked beans, scalloped corn, apple salad, rolls with honey butter, pumpkin, banana creme, and apple pie

Maybe green bean casseole and then my brother and his GF will bring a salad and my mom will probably bring a jello salad. My boys will bring their appetite.LOL

Then for the past couple years I have been helping a couple of elderly folks here in town and I take them a couple plates of food so they will have a good homecooked dinner.

OOPs forgot the dressing, easy for me cause I don't like it but DH waits all year for it!!

We will be having the traditional Turkey and ham and I will fix green beans, sweet potatoe casserole, mac and cheese ( a grandkid must) stuffing,blackberry cheesecake,potatoe salad and kids will bring deviled eggs, ice, more desert and will fix iced tea. Lots of food for lots of people. Hope everyone has a wonderful family fed Holiday!

Hey Carol, I plant Green Beans repeatedly through the year and plant other crops in their wake. They provide food and improve the soil.

I'm harvesting Citrus & Bananas right now they will definitely be on the menu. Been making Banana Bread, Fruit Salad, Citrus Juice. Cranberry-Orange Relish for Thanksgiving.

Did everybody make it through hurricane Ida okay?

Hi Dave, yes a busy week ahead. Love to sample your fruit salad its a favorite of mine. Ida just dumped some steady rain here for a couple of days and moved on. We did have a rockslide on a major hwy and will take a few months to fix with detours in the mix. Glad you are gearing up for a nice Thanksgiving and wish you the best.

oh did I miss a whole week? is it Thanksgiving already? Worked all day, got home, got called back in, too tired, can't catch up, go on without me......not even food could motivate me now....
