Neato!
Coffee Break #23 - Counting down to Turkey!
glad you ended up liking the show Victor... we love it!!!
I loved it the first time I saw it! Recorded most of them. Always liked high-speed film. And the opposite too - time lapse.
Cool!!
I almost beat Randy .. he put the paper on the bottom of a big pile of recycling.. geeze almost missed it
That is one cool video, hubby loves watching that kind of stuff.
Wow, Allison, your house is famous!
Drops were very interesting.
Gotta show Jeff that water drop. Don't know if he's ever seen that. He will be amazed and then proceed to tell me all the physics that goes into it. :)
That is very exciting onewish!!!
Cool, Allison!
Wonderful, Allison! Congrats!
Ha ha - prepare to hear about surface tension, Jan.
thanks guys... been such an up and down week... had to bring Lily to the vet clinic last night.. not sure what she got into.. but something bad.. we are moving our azaleas tomorrow.. they are always rooting around over there.. but she had a fever and started pooping blood.. i was panicked.. gave her some meds.. and hope for the best.. they aren't sure what caused it.. might be some mushrooms under the leaves.. going to clean the whole area up this weekend.. only had a few hours sleep last night.. I am shot!!
Oh poor poochie!
Poor onewish as well.
Hi y'all just catching up/ Y'all make me hungry and I am still full form lunch. LOL
My DM makes a gravy with the neck, liver and gizzard and boiled eye and it is really good.
Oh, Allison. Poor Lily!
I am about to show Jeff the video. Wish me luck hee-hee
Well wishes to Lily, Allison!
Good luck, Allison!

Any improvement today, Allison?
yeah she wolfed her chicken & rice down like she hasn't eaten in a week.. have to wait for the food to move back into her system to see if the runs are gone.. but she seems a bit perkier now... and boy o boy was it fun giving her the antibiotics in the squirty syringe... geeze this is going to get ugly as the days go by!!!.. I just kept telling her .. how sick could you be to wiggle around like that.. it's so hard when they are that small to hold still
:)
Marilyn, sorry to hear about your brother. I'll be praying that things will get better for him.
We are having TG dinner at our house, my Dad, sister and niece. Maybe my brother's family will come over later for dessert. I will probably do most of the cooking. I love making a big TG meal, though I'm always so tired afterwards.
Congrats to Kathy (boojum), Victor, Allison (onewish1), pirl, debilu for your wins in the photo contest. Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Oh, and bigcityAl. Great photos, everyone!
Dave, glad to hear your son is fine with his broken leg, and Jen, glad to hear your pregnant friend is fine, too, after her car accident. Crazy drunks! They should stay off the road. I hope he gets big trouble for that. Could have killed her! I hope the baby will be alright.
Maria, boiled eggs in gravy sound good. BTW, you're welcome to join us for TG dinner. You're only 45 minutes from me. We have plenty of room, and I know my sister and niece won't mind, and Dad would love to have you. Let me know if you want to come.
Victor, that thing about the live fish eating in China makes me want to vomit! I saw something once on people in China eating monkey brains out of a live monkey. If that's not the sickest thing you've ever heard of, I don't know what is!
That cop sure was tolerant of that cat! That was cute!
Cousin Nut, speaking of the English language being nonsesical, how about how we use the letter 'c'! I think we kould drop it for the most part and substitute either a 'k' or an 's', exsept in the kase of 'ch' as in chase. ;-)
Congrats on getting your house in the paper, Allison! I sure hope Lily feels better soon, and I hope you can find out what caused it so you can prevent it from happening again.
Victor, love the water droplet!
Karen
wow that was some catching up!!!.. you are so good at that!!
I will say thank you ... thank you.... and thank you!!!... it doesn't look as if we are going to figure it out... yet... but hopefully moving those shrubs will prevent it from happening again
I sure hope that solves the problem for you. Sounds like Lily is on the mend, and that's a good sign.
Yeah, it took me awhile to catch up, but finally made it through. Now it's time to hit the hay!
Karen
sweet dreams!
Karen, how sweet of you to invite me, I know it would be such a pleasure for me to meet all of you but I must tell you, my Daughter called saying she is inviting the whole family including her son and his children (they are my great-grand children), they live in PA where my daughter usually travels to for the holidays, all this makes me very happy not to be lonely as I am all the time, I know what is meant by "my better half" only the not so good one is left.
I have Macular Degeneration, every month I need an injection to save the one eye I still can see with, the worst part is I do not know how to type, did not care for it when I was a student but since we had no choice on any subject I had to take it, now I wish I paid more attention to it, felt the same way about English and other foreign languages. I remember asking my Mother what do I need to learn English for, she said, well, you never know. ha ha ha. One day I came home and said, Oh, it is easy Mama, a hand is a hand, a finger is a finger, a ring is a ring, a nose is a nase.
After that I like learning it, this started in the first grade, mostly with nurse rhymes.
Enough of this, just hope I am not boring you but wish you all a good day
Maria
Jeff appreciated the water drop video, but didn't seem as amazed as I was. Yep, I heard all about surface tension. ^_^

is it just me or is getting the food shopping list together for thanksgiving stressful???
This message was edited Nov 21, 2009 10:30 AM
It used to be for me too, but 2 years ago I put a pad of paper out on Nov. 1st, at the top I wrote "Food for Thanksgiving" is bold letters. I leave it on the table or frig where I can see it and add to it as I think of things or see a recipe I want to try. I also encourage DH and the kids to add to it so I know what they would like to see on the table. A week before Thanksgiving I go over it, scale it down if need be and make myself a list for the store.
During the month I will buy "stand bys" meaning things I know will never change and I will need, such as sugar, flour, cranberry sauce, turkey, potatoes, ect... As I purchase them I put a slash on the list beside it to let me know I've already got it. Usually when i'm all set to make the last minute list, it's relatively short because I bought most of it as I thought of it. This has worked well for me and I have less stress trying to sit down and think of everything at once....I always forget something that way!!!!
Ha, the internet has everything....

I have to disagree.....go looking for a good turkey 3 days before? Yes it it's a fresh bird, NO WAY if i'm buying a Butterball. ^_^
Yea, They might be out of touch. I guess those people have personal shoppers :-)
