How much land area does all your flower and veggie seeds require?

Yes we do flowers, well actually my BF does and I help out with it. I do most of the harvesting and freezing or canning of the tomatoes, and pickling the beets and pickling green beens.

We also have Mulberry trees that usually give us a lot of fruit. Last year I made mulberry jam and mulberry syrup. This year the mulberries didn't do as well, but he also had black raspberry bushes, and they did great. Black raspberry jam and black raspberry syrup. ^_^

When I took care of my mom, I planted her garden too, and took care of her 5 flower beds. One was cactus, so they had to be planted out ever spring when it was nice enough, and brought back in before frost, and they had to be out in the shade for a while to get use to it, or they would get sunburned.
I managed to cut one of her big flower beds in half the last summer I was there.
Those veggie gardens and all those flower beds can be alot of work.

we have a 1/4 acre here, the other house has about an acre and a half and the farm outside of town is about 5 acres

venice, all of that is going to require a lot of land.

Trina, you must have over 3,000 seeds and plants now! But also having 3 sites, taking equipment back and forth, and running between them, I would think will be a pretty big job.

I'm not planting every single seed!

Venice I was going to fight a little kid for a My Buddy doll. Haven't seen one in years.
Son used to have one and I wanted it for his son, but let the kid at the store have it.

the rest I will trade with other DGer's for veggie seeds I don't already have, but some of these like the radish and carrots I can sow some now and grow them to eat this winter and then do it again in spring, if I do things at the right time I can get three plantings worth of some things in that we use a lot of and can it up...saves on the grocery bill! Like carrots, radish, brussels sprouts, some corn can be done in the house to have fresh at christmas! LOL

JJ, you really got some good decorations!!!! Those are going really quick now because everyone is looking for them. You know, going there can almost be adictive. I noticed that the other day. If I could stand longer, I would have gone to more stores. But also I have promised myself that I won't go again until Wednesday. But everyday they put out new things so you just have to be there at the right time.

The Salvation Army was right up the street when I went the other day. I thought that store would be similar. But no!!!! A lot of the stuff was just trash or broken, music at one end of the store, news at the other end, kids screaming and laying all over the floor, and a lady was singing a spiritural song very loudly. lol Real choas!!! Really grubby also!

Hey JJ love those blue lights too. Kassy don't know what mulberries are but must be good to take the time to can them up. I usually made grape jelly out of the concord grapes. Trina sounds like you have the space for all those seeds, get those teenagers excited and let them plant harvest and sell some for mad money lol. Venice we should have went to GH today, JJ found the good stuff.

I love GW, especially when it comes to finding clothes for myself, I like cute little sweaters and zip up hoodies and they are much cheaper there! Pants I give up they are just too hard to find

I just wish the greenhouse was done then I could do more! LOL

I have a picture of my son holding his Buddy doll. He loved it. When he graduated they put toghether a slide show and guess what picture showed up for him. Yep him and his buddy.LOL Wasn't half as funny as the boy in his sisteres underclothes!! He actually chased her out of the room he was so PO'd.

Venice our Salvation Army isn't that bad it is alot like the GW store except they have higher prices.

My DH has a new dilemma, can't figure out why I still have extension cords when he put up new outlets outside.
Would someone else like to explain to him that the light end don't always end up by the outlet. He says it will if you plug it in first and go from there. aaaarrrrr
