Apparently they are in this area now.
Louise, didn't get a chance to winter sow. I'm going to try starting seeds for spring.
i don't start to winter sow until january
Ok, any tips?
i just use plastic milk containers cut almost all the way around 4" up fromt the bottom - fill with moist dirt - add seeds - tape up container without cap - and wait till spring - it worked pretty well and will do it again for a few things - had way too many last year.
Good luck with them either way you do them, Lucy!
Hi Bill! What plants did you winter sow last year that gave you so many seedlings? I've never tried to winter sow.
I did my tomatoes the same way, Bill.
I was like a spring day it was so warm out.
High was 70
It turned out to be a beautiful day here too. Jen do tell about the tomatoes. I have some seeds I want to wintersow.what month do you start?
Whatever it told me to do on the packet. lol.... I'm a big help, huh???
Thats the problem. Someone gave me some heirloom tomatoe seeds. No packet. I was just wondering what month to start them.
I googled it and found 6-8 weeks usually to grown plants to be transplanted out 1-2 weeks after last frost date.
in google if you put "sow WHATEVER KIND seed" it will sometimes pull up the packet
Thanks!
louise i did all the different rudbeckia and foxgloves and a bunch of others.
Wow - finally got on! 52 and sunny.
Yeah, I noticed that too, "socket layer error 0" or something...
55°, sunny, breezy
48 and gloomy. It's colder now than when I went to work @ 6:30 am.

Sunny & 57---didn't want to come into the house!
I can say I was pouting this morning when I couldn't get on
Great day! Hope to go hiking tomorrow after mu guitar lesson.
XM radio started Christmas music today on one of their channels - the old, traditional type on the channel that's normally 40's music. I normally would never listen to Christmas music this early, but for some reason this year I was looking forward to it. Have it on right now.
woo hoo!!!
Victor, what exactly is mu guitar?
You should know - mu is a Greek letter!
I must be rubbing off on you Victor... I was programing the lights to Christmas music this past weekend... Randy was ready to beat me over the head singing it all day
46 now.. going up to 55
Hee hee! 43 and mostly cloudy.
Sunny and 42 high of 58, they say
Raw out there.
looked like a frost hit again last night - going to go up to the high-40's today
