Thanks guys. You are right Pixie, it is the remnants of Ida downgraded to a storm. Noreaster might be a catch all term.I hate being housebound, but glad I still have power and water . All the dogs are indoors, underfoot and making a mess. Got my hurricane lamps on the ready.

Still raining nonstop, the winds are howling, the sun is hiding. 54 degrees. A friend called and said she had to evacuate. Power was surging all evening, gave up and went to bed early. Heard fire engines all night. Supposed to subside by tommorrow. The weathermen here are earning their pay.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! It finally stopped raining, around here anyway. I drove to the drugstore and it was an obstacle course around downed trees and flooded streets. I wished I had my camera with me. a 10 min trip took me and hour. Guess we'll just wait for the waters to recede now. Its 53 degrees and feels like after shock from a hurricane. I'm fine but the dogs want OUT ;-)

Wow, Joyce, I can't imagine having your dogs unable to go out for so long. Poor babies! Stay safe in the obstacle course!

Perfect weather here today. I got so much done outside finally. High of 75 with no humidity and a breezy day = great day in the garden!!

glad the storms didn't beat you up too bad Jada.. my neighbor has a trailer in Chincoteague.. the worst she has is a tree fell on her shed.. but she said it wasn't too bad.. not so much for her next door neighbor.. smack in the middle of their trailer

Thanks Allison! I only have one big tree, a 40ft Holly. All my fruit trees I keep cut to about 8-10 ft. I did see trees down in yards in the neighborhood, massive roots pulled up like saplings. My neighbors basement flooded and theres shingles laying around. My house is two story with an attic, so i cant tell if their mine,hope not . Now for the clean up of debris and see whats going on in my garden.

58 and sunny. Perfect day for DD's b-day, she's 18. DH and I have been married 22 yrs. today. No plans as DD and I have to do evening chores at the barn today.
