Smiley I'll check tubers when I get back......
But the Oregano remains the same....
I'll bet she was too cute grinning from ear to ear...smile
Lynnie, have a good workout, JJ needs the energy....grin
Lynnie, hope you have put on a clean pair of fuzzy socks before going to the gym.We know ya travel lite as far as other clothing. The people at the gym must get an eye full!! Is there a gym for nudist's in your area? I know those socks have to be dirty any way. Sneaking around Poo villa like you do. You'll have to start wearing more than the socks to take on Lester. He's getting pretty good with that little beak of his.LOL Have fun at the gym. See ya when ya get back. Work it girl. Grin
What do you have planned for the day Moon? When I get back from church I am going to try to do a little work with our plants. It's a nice day here hope you are having good weather as well.
We still have sunshine today, Dixie. Hope to get more stuff done outside before the rains come again. Keeping an eye on IDA, as we have learned "never say never" where Tropical storms are concerned...grin
Hope the weather doesn't get bad for yall. I know in the area your in it can get scary. Have fun out working in the yard Moon. I'll send a message to the weather fairies to keep yall safe. Guess I'm off to church in a few. Take care and keep that snorkel and boat handy just in case. Talk to a later in the day.
Thanks Dixie. Catch ya later.
Smiley, Moon, JJ, Dixie, Lynnie --
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MY BIRTHDAY WISHES!!!!!! All of you are just great!!!
It is pretty warm and sunny here in Indy! Beeeea-uuu-ti-ful!
Smiley the birthday post was sooooo cute! Clever girl!
Moon, thanks for the links for my new plant.
Good Morning Birthday Girl. You are welcome for the link. Hope your whole day is sunny and happy. Anything special planned for today, or are ya just gonna bask in the warmth and beauty of the day?
Moon, I don't know what I want to do today! I know I have some things that need to be done. But don't know yet. ???
I meant to ask you. Do you think my new little plant will survive? I would say more than half of the leaves don't look good with either yellow or brown areas. They look like blotches more than spots. Also the leaves in general are yellowish green.
So Dr. Moon, what is her prognosis?
Don't fret Venice! Just let it grow, it has a good mommie!
She probably would like a little TLC and maybe a little room for her toes to spread out. It also would not hurt, since she will be wintering inside , to give her a little fertilizer. This plant works well as a bonsai. I do not think it is winter hardy in your area. It can get rather large in the ground. It is an evergreen and prefers partial shade/bright light but not direct sun.
You need to do something pleasant, like a walk through the zoo or a public garden, or a movie and ice cream....grin
I'm back, and I'm hungry!and the kids are ALL wound up...gotta get them outside.....they're silly as all get out! It's 10 degrees warmer out there than yesterday.
um...where are the chickens? (she asks innocently)
Hi Rachel. Hope ya had a great time in Fla. Good to see ya here.
Okay, then. Just watched the weather channel. Looks like we may be in for some interesting weather around here. Our local weatherman said there has NEVER been a hurricane in our area in November....talk about tempting the Fates....grin The little storm that was supposed to go away has become a hurricane with 90 MPH winds.....what fun. We are to get couple inches of rain tonight and areas just a few miles east of me are under a flood watch....all that rain from North La making its way down the rivers.....
Rats! my shoes just got good and dry....lol
Rachel, thanks! Hope you have a great day also!
Moon, hope you are going to be all right and that you won't wash away in all that rain!
Dave, Mahalo!!! Welina me ke aloha? The sun is shining so I guess this will be a good building day.
How can I tell if my Schefflera is a minature or just a baby?
A miniature Schefflera is a baby. A plant can be bonzai'd to stunt it's growth, but they are naturally trees.
That looks like Schefflera arboricola. 12 inches going on 20 ft.
You can stunt the tree to a few feet high by keeping it rootbound.
and now I'm hungry again......here chicky chicky chicky....*grin*
nice plant Venice!
dirty dog Smiley! lol
Dave show us your progress over there.
JJ that was a cute joke.
OOoooooOOOooooOOohhhhhh !!! NNNnnnnice rock!!!!!
I have rock envy, Lynnie!
Yes, JJ, that was really cute! (forgot to comment)
Lynnie, how the heck did you move that thing?
Dave, that's a helluva crystal. I could make a really nice sparkly thing out of something that size. Is that really your plumb?
Hi Lynnie & Smiley!
That was a faceted crystal and a prism. I was trying to capture the rainbow effect, but the camera would not pick it up. I use a rock & string for a plumb; sometimes the chalk-string.
The food will be for dinner.
what time is dinner Dave? my stomach is growling...I need a snack...
Smiley it wasn't easy moving that thing, I'm monitoring both of us for chest pain hahaha we used the truck to drag it, but we still had to shove it in the hole...it's about 1/3 buried, we tried for 1/3rd...took a while.
Smiley how many tubers do you need? I have no idea if you get one plant from one tuber or what.....I don't know how to grow them either, we'll have to figure that out.
Hurray, Lynnie. When you said the girls were all wound up I had no idea they would be that productive....lol Looking good, Lynn.
Smiley, where there is disgusting, there is dog....the beagles like to roll in dead mole.....YUK
Cute cartoon JJ. Thanks
Venice, won't wash away, just be living on an island for a while if the water rises.
Aloha, Dave. Looks like you have a lovely day in the making....no rain...grin
Hey Lynnie, Smiley, those potato vines are very much like real potato vines. You get as many stems as you have 'eyes' on the tuber, just like a sweet potato. (the tubers you have are for Ipomoea batatas) You can cut large ones into smaller pieces as long as there is an eye in each piece. let them sit for a couple days to callous over and then plant them.

Hi Jean! No rain yet.
Dinner is at about sundown.
We are watching carefully here Dave. The "it never happens in november" storm may well be charging up the coast in a couple days....
Moon I guess the weather fairies turned a deaf ear. Stay safe, warm, and hopefully dry. JJ'S that was a cute little story. Lynnie pretty picture of the yard. Hope you have eaten well today.LOL Hi Dave, looks like you are having a beautiful day. I love black bean soup in case ya have any left overs. Smiley, little Sam just wanted to share the new fragrance that he acquired.LOL How's the B.Day going Venice? Hope that you treated your self to some thing special.
