(Zone 5b)

or unfortunately lol
ok now that I've marked this thread, I gotta get moving!
where IS Trina & Venice?? very curious....

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Nice Kitty Moon.

I had one of those once. His name was Rufus, after Buffalo's version of Wolfman Jack, way back when. He got outside once and never came back. Hope he found a good home.

Enjoy the nice outside, folks. I probably won't be able to do those odds & ends today, it's Saturday. Tomorrow will be my outside day.

Looking forward to when it's my turn to be a grandma. (not too soon, though!)

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Moon, is that a reference to Led Zeppelin, or did I misconstrue something?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Yeah, JJ. A cut leaf jap maple....stays very low to the ground with a weeping form.

Grin Smiley...unconsiously....the other thread was The THYMES they are a changing....(but the Oregano stays the same) so more of me just being silly....grin.

Yup, he was my sweet big kitty....wasn't feeling well and DHJim took him to see the vet.The vet told DHJim that Mutze had FIDS and needed to be put down....Jim said okay, when he came home with Mutze's body and told me, I went directly to the vet's office and raised 3 kinds of hell. She gave Mutze and Max and Mea the FID vaccine 2 years earlier....it gives a false positive on the FIDS test...she never looked at his chart and killed a healthy cat....threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't leave....told her to go ahead, I wasn't going anywhere without an apology and the check for $75 she charged for killing a healthy cat. She called the cops...I got my check back....we changed vets and I tell everyone what she did. there is another story about her weird practice but that is for a later day...

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh, oh, oh, so sad Moon. How absolutely awful!!!!

Dixie, cute grand and great puppy!

It was so beautiful when I was out walking this morning! I didn't have a jacket on and the breeze was chilly but the sun was so warm. Blue sky and bright sun. In the 30's last night but it should get up to 70 today!!!! Took Kitty out walking with me. She is so cute following me about 15 feet more of less depending on her curiosity of what she sees. A little dog chasing her and the noisy FedEx truck detoured us for a couple of minutes. Then we were back on our way.

I need something to put under my big avocado pot. I cracked the plastic tray I put under it before. Surely I can find something at the Dollar Store or at Goodwill.

Today, I will sort out all of those many free pots and trays I received and then wash them tomorrow.

Also, I have been getting my gardening info together so I can do better this year especially with all the seeds I have.

Can any of you northern girls tell me what plant can look good in late fall and winter? I have yucca seeds that Trina gave me. But do you know of anything else? Don't have room for a bush. If you can think of something let me know. Thanks!

See you later!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Venice, the turtleheads look good. They bloom in August-September, but then in winter the stalks and seedheads are dark brown. They are nice bones.

Moon, that is just a rotten kitty story. Makes me very angry. When our dog had to go to the vet, they called us 3 days later and told us she died before they could examine her. Sent us a bill, I never paid it (I was 16). They sent us to a collection agency, I was ready to sue them for killing my dog. I think my mom ended up paying the bill when I wasn't looking.

I got the Bob Dylan Thyme reference, wasn't sure on the oregano, though. We's music buddies, I know where you're at!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Both Smiley and Moon, those sure were nasty vet offices you were taking your pets to for care! Unbelievable!!!

Smiley, by the way, my turtles just look like sticks stuck in the ground! I am glad they had seeds so I can plant them and be sure I have some.

Jesup, GA

Hi all. Trying to take a little break. Moon that vet needs one of her own injections! She shouldn't be practicing. Smiley that was terrible about your dog as well. If I had been your Mom I wouldn't have paid the bill. I am not a patient person when it comes to incompetence.

(Zone 5b)

yea, bad vets! what's wrong with people? sheesh.
it's cold here!

Jesup, GA

Thanks V. Didn't mean to not say Hi to ya. Glad you enjoyed your walk,It sounds as though you are having a pretty day out. The plants are keeping ya busy aren't they?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey Venice...sounds like you are having a lovely day. I bet Kitty was really frisky with the cool weather. Why not get one of the disposable AL foil roaster pans.?They are only a couple bux and last a long time.

Two people in the vet's office waiting room took their animals and left. Comes from greed....schedule an appointment every 10 minutes and have folks stacked up waiting, then rush through the exam.....I filed a complaint with the Vet registry using words like incompetent, overbooked and negligent, not to mention murder. DHJim was heartbroken...Mutze was "his" kitty. The bad part was we had been bringing all of our animals to her for 4 years....that was 6 plus visits a year....Faugh!

Yeah you right, Smiley. We be buds....grin

I agree, Dixie....grin

Jesup, GA

Hi Lynnie if I ran around naked with just a pair of fuzzy socks on I'd be a little nippy my self. LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Coffee on monitor Dixie....LOL

Jesup, GA

Don't blame ya Moon, I would have filed every complaint I could have possibly filed. There wasn't any sense to that. Greed. Such an ugly spirit.

Jesup, GA

LOL Moon.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Y'all have a good afternoon. Smiley, enjoy your day with your Mom. Dixie...love that grandbaby....grin

Got GSJordan ready to do yardwork....gotta take advantage of it...it is a rarity...lol

Venice have fun sorting....grin

Later, All
Moon

Jesup, GA

Have a good afternoon Moon. Thanks, for the grand baby compliment. Make em work Moon! Better take advantage of that situation while ya can! LOL

Keaau, HI

Good morning everybody! Aloha aku!

Sorry to hear about the nightmare vet. Here there are very few animal care doctors that seem to actually care about peoples' critters. They tend to have a "just put them out of their misery" syndrome. I find it best to be ones' own vet.

Here's a vintage cartoon for ya!

Hi Dave, like the cartoon. What 60'sor70's? Looks to be around that time. Is that a rug in the picture? If is, all though I am not sure. It's pretty. Like the colors.

Jesup, GA

(Zone 5b)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

How about dark chocolate macadamia nut too? Please?

Jesup, GA

Little grand and I are dancing . Listening to Fleet Wood Mac. Old Mimma can still move a little at times. Barely though. LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Tusk? Dancing with the little ones is so much fun....

Jesup, GA

I honestly can smell them! Just a minute . Wiping drool off of my chin! Got Max guarding the Poo's. Told him to watch for a naked lady in fuzzy socks with a demented look on her face! LOL

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Brownies, Halloween candy, Lynnie you're turning into me!!! LOL

Hi Dixie, having fun with the grand, so cute.
Hi Dave!

Candy canes all pounded in the ground except for the giant ones.
Had to come in and get some food. I had PB&J instead of pie. Thats a first!!

Heading back out to put lights on the trees.
Someone drove down the road and stopped to tell me it wasn't Christmas yet.
Said " I know but its warm and thats all that counts ".

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

And a huge pan of sugar cookie brownies....
