Thanks to all who left growin a message. I'm sure he appreciates it.
Coffee Break #22 - NY Rules!!!!
Probably part of a 'community service' plea deal he worked out, but once the press got a hold of it Maine dept of corrections backed out. He was good when he worked under Morgenthau as assistant DA, but seems when he left & got too much power he changed.
Victor - thanks for letting us know about Growin's loss. What a great photo of him and Astro. Sad.
Yes it is. And his posts were heartbreaking.
The poultry and livestock forum has the absolute best thread titles. Check out this one.

It's probably not a coincidence that I saw that thread not long after posting about Spitzer.
think i have a virus on the pc here - all security has been shut down and had to boot in safe mode - running scans right now - will be bad as my wife needs the pc all weekend for school if i do not get this fixed.
I hope you can fix it! Sending anti-viral vibes!
Good luck!
not going well so far
Crappola wha. Hope it's not a baddie. Funky weird garden history item today: Very Hitchcockian.
1833: Lumps of jelly (jellyfish?) fell on Rahway, New Jersey. A meteor shower was taking place over the eastern United States at the same time locals described this “fiery rain."
I'll refrain from commenting, as a sign of respect for the Jersey girls. ^_^
It's ok if we lose Rahway to a sea of jellyfish. No loss.
Hee hee. Poor jellyfish.
Is that a passion fruit or are you just happy...

You're funny flowerjen ^_^
i think my pc is back in working order - not sure what did the trick since i tried everything i could think of - now just making sure everything is up to date and run a couple more scans now that it is running in normal mode
I finally found the DG forum stats! They haven't been in the weekly newsletter for awhile and I miss them. The daily stats are in Home/Extras/DG News. The Daily Newsletter is on the right and has daily stats.

Thanks, DNut--first time i ever saw that. NE tops the list with 132 posts. Talkative bunch, huh :-)
O dear wren.
Nice cheezeburger pic Wren :-)
I luv when the demon child dances ^_^
Did you every see his thread on dancing?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/978284/
OMG! That was waaay too funny Wren! And I read LOL dogs every day! ^_^
Awww...Andre is the life of the party!
He is just the BESTEST puppy dear wren! I so wish you two were here. I need a partner for my death spiral which is part of my new olympic dance. Right now I'm using my buddy ladder as my partner and my death spiral looks more like a kamikaze dive (snort).
LOL Wish we could be there too, Andre would love a dancing partner.
Dahlia - hold that thought.....you MUST do that death spiral for us when we see you in NH!! Including the snort! LOL
Donnie B I'm hoping my DH will take pics of this dance which I can post because it will feature not only my olympic mittens and touque but a pair of divine woolie sockies that a dear DG friend from California made for me cuz I'm knitting challenged. My favorite part (so far) is bobsledding in my trusty barrow. It is a Gardening Olympic dance where I have substituted gardening tools and stuff for sports equipment. I tell you delivering a container of bone meal as a curling rock is not easy! I'm pretty deadly at slapshots with my spade though ^_^
I think we are all envious of your talents, Dahlia....not to mention your joie de vivre!!! I know you always add a touch of fun to every thread! BTW, no sign of my dahlias breaking ground yet here. Fingers crossed!
I'm sure your dahlias will be luvly.
Wren - Andre has fantastic form! LOL He's a really great dog!!
Andre is a very smart dog Wren? I've read about that breed and they are a highly intelligent breed, which is why they must stay active and amused I think? We have a "secret" beach near us that we frequent with our dogs. Once we ran into a couple with an Australian Cattle Dog. They also had a baby with them. During our conversation with them Jack teased them about the baby becoming a driver. The couple joked that they were more scared of the dog driving.....he was that smart.
I agree except Andre will never drive he gets car sick. LOL
I have to be careful about what I say as he understands so much. He loves to figure out things.
When I tell him we where going for his run I would tell him to wait will I put my shoes on, one day he went and get me a shoe.
I taught him to get his food dish for my, now if I am eating something and he wants so he will run and get his food dish, if I do not give him any he will repeatedly band his metal dish on the floor until I give up. Also the first time I gave him one of the doggie ice cream cups as soon as he finished it he gave me the empty cup and when I asked him what he wanted he liked his lips. LOL
