apples sweet and juicy and some are just a tad grainey
oranges...(I prefer tangerines) juciy, bursting in your mouth and rolling across your tongue like sweet nectar
Bananas...a must for ambrosia. slightly sweet...well I was gonna eat one and tell ya but the kids beat me to it!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Yeah I know I'm a pest! But Dave what category would Pseuderanthemum artopurpureum fall under, it's not a cactus or a bromelaid, it's pretty though

Keaau, HI

Starfruit is sweet and juicy, sometimes tart. Nothing tastes like a Starfruit, but Starfruit.

Pseuderanthemum is in the Acanthus Family.

Jesup, GA

Better now that I'm home from work. How goes it with you Dave? Still working hard on the addition? Realy like the plant ! Trina, this is a serious question. When you go to bed, do you dream of plants, seeds etc. ? I was just wondering about that.

Keaau, HI

Waiting for the rain to stop, then will hopefully get walls set up today.

Jesup, GA

What was the ugh!! for ? Oh plant ,consumed one.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

no usually I dream about food

Jesup, GA

Shhhhhh, Dave be quite about rain. We are actually having a nice sunny day! Hope the rain stops for ya so you can get some work done.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I forgot this one box has stuff that needs water...NOW

Keaau, HI

Get those plants watered Trina!

Jesup, GA

Thats probably because you are so consumed with the plants during the day you forget to eat. LOL

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

oh no I don't I am constantly eating something...today I had a baked turkey and bacon sandwich with lots of gooey melty cheese...yummy

Jesup, GA

For gosh sakes, yes water! Run now!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Dave another dumb question or ten thousand for ya.....How big does a tree philo get and I forgot the other one...but I'm sure I'll remember it later!

Jesup, GA

One of my favorite pass times is the consumption of food as well. That sounds pretty darn good. I'll pretty much eat any thing that doesn't eat me first. Had a great big slice of blueberry cheese cake along with lunch. I guess I'll have to double time it walking this eve.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

key lime cheesecake here, now I'm eating 3 musketeers my kids got on halloween

Jesup, GA

Tree Philo's can get big Trina.

Jesup, GA

You little piglet! Sounds yummy! LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi all!

Dave, hope your rain stops soon. Last night I was asking you about how you make your chocolate candy. So you ground the beans into a paste. Do you add anything to the paste?

Keaau, HI

Tree Philodendron, meaning Philodendron bipinnatifidum?

They get about ten ft. tall before they fall over. If propped up against a tree, they will go higher.
The leaves will get up to four ft. long.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, and how in the world do you eat glass???

Jesup, GA

I forget to ask you my usual question. How's the hoarding coming along? You sound busy, so I will assume just peachy huh? The addiction is alive and well! LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, you have plants and trees that get huge!!!! How long doe it take for your plants and trees to get like 8' tall.

Jesup, GA

Hey Venice! How are ya girl?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

depends on which plant or tree Venice

Dave I'm not sure which philo...the tag says "Suprise thought you might like this you tree hugger...Philodendron tree type split leaf.....have fun dork thanks for 25 years of friendship" So that doesn't tell me a whole lot...LOL

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

and how did I eat glass... best we can figure is it was in something I ate like a taco or a cheese burger or something. I know it feels oddles better today and I am no longer at my kill people level of pain like I was last night....I would of hit someone but it hurt so much I started seeing double....I've only had one other time that happened and and i don't remember anything from that whole week...so I guess I'm in good shape there!

Keaau, HI

Hi Carol, the beans need no moisture added as there is a lot of fat in them.

The ground cacao beans are slowly heated, and then honey, sucanat, or raw sugar is added and it is blended till smooth.

Nothing like a good ole glass taco to kill a person. Wow T. glad your still breathing.

Keaau, HI

Philodendron bipinnatifidum has split leaves and is tree-like.

Jesup, GA

Chocolate!! I see CHOCOLATE! What cruel toture is this? Yummmmmmy!!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi Dixie!

I cut back my vinca and made 2 pots of it. Pulled up the rest of the Black Sweet Potatao vine and one piece has roots and am rooting the other piece. I have 2 little blossoms on my hens & chicks. AND I have a bud on my little hibiscus! I think I will give it some Bloom Buster.

I read how to make a pineapple plant from the top of a pineapple you buy from the store. Sounds pretty easy. Info is in Today's Article.

Dave, ah ha! Didn't know cocoa beans had fat in it. So that is why it turns to paste. I was thinking that ground beans would be more like coffee beans, but no. Add a little sweetener and that is it! So other than growing a Chocolate tree, Theobroma cacao, could I get ordinary cocoa beans here and make chocolate? Ok I know it won't be the same, but would it be close?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

hey look it's from my friend Becky who lives in Texas. we met when our dads were both stationed in Germany, Last year she sent me a venus fly trap (I think the kids tortured it to death, they thought it was cool how it would close up so they kept throwing bits of meat in it to make it move) She's a corn ball, who likes to send weird gifts for strange occasions, some of them have been good, some ok, and some you just kinda stare at her and go huh? So at least she's never dull!

uhm oh yeah my other question crinum amabile bulbs, and spider lily bulbs, can overwinter them like I do my amaryllis and sweet potatoes? and which side is the top?
