Now if you look at the angel her head, wings are numbered...in order to teach you and you not panick, I sent you gold paper...the one I crimped is place where her head and crown opening..(little slit just above her head) you don't need the entire amount just enough to go over the edges comfortably so that it will hide the opening..the crimped piece can go with the lines up and down or sideways..your choice...tape, remember you can't tape into open areas of the wings or the body 'v' shape...so tape on the side...

This would go better if I had an angel...I'll have one when I get home...

Arnett, WV(Zone 5b)

Ok.

Cathy

so now if you look at the marking inside the 'v' which is the only thing left you have to cover (right?) you most likely will see 3 distinct areas...to make things easier on yourself, I sent 3 different folded christmas card stock...

ooops got a call..talk around 6pm ok

Arnett, WV(Zone 5b)

ok.

Cathy

Roswell, NM(Zone 6a)

I got mine today Thank You very much. I've been making copies of the directions and saving the pictues, I need it in black and white so my husband can read it and tell me how to do it. I have a mental block when it comes to reading and following art or crochet instructions, but when he reads it to me its like a light bulb goes off, you would think with 10 yrs of college and numerous degrees I'd be smarter, lol. Plus I've came back down with the flue we just got over a week ago, so I'm back on meds and sleep alot. But I'll be back on to make copies and try and follow along, you may hear me yelling help all the way up there. Thanks Again Susan

OK..it's 5:45 here..just having a bite to eat and will be back at 6:30..know there is a few of you who d-mailed me and are willing to try..

For those of you just joining in, try to do the above steps so we're all ready at same time...

For those of you who can't..don't panic, I'm here any time you are ready...

I'm excited...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Too funny, bought all the decorative supplies, now I'm thinking the pkgs were flat, adding greenery and christmas picks will make it thicks...dah...

(Bre) Sellersville, PA(Zone 7a)

Victoria Harbour, ON

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm Here........

Victoria Harbour, ON

have you done the previous steps Barb?

If so, this is what your card should look like...the pitz..lol

I'm there too....

Victoria Harbour, ON

For those that feel on your first card that you might screw up..this is what I did for a class....

get yourself a piece of paper, and do the following with your 3 colors...doesn't matter which color gets assigned which #...

Photo isn't clear...

Color 1 will be #'s
1, 4, 7,10 and 13

Color 2 will be #'s
2,5,9,11 and 14

Color 3 will be #'s
3,6,9,12 and 15

the middle little square will be color of choice..I usually use the gold...

If you've a printer, print the color scheme and attach a little block of your paper to see which is which...

Really the above isn't necessary providing you can count alternatively..lol

I'm trying to make things easy for you..

After you do one you will be able to do all your Christmas cards as well as every season as there are patterns for each...

How much fun is that?

OK, now that you know which paper design is which number you will locate #1 on the angel graph..you must cut the paper slightly longer than what you will need..want to make sure you are taping on the white card and not have a gap within the 'v' of the angel..the folded part of the paper that I sent is facing inward (inside the cut out 'v')

Any questions so far?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Got that all written down....

Victoria Harbour, ON

aren't you doing it Barb??? thought I'd get to see your card tonight...

I changedmy #2 color because it wasn't showing up for you..

OK..in same fashion as your #1, look for #2,
Remember cut length just a bit longer than you need, has to go outside the cut 'v'..and watch where you put the tape, you don't want any showing in the 'v' as well...

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Now I've added number 2....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes it is Barb...

go do your #2 with Design paper #2

Now we're on to the #3 paper on #3

It will look terrible but trust me, a treasure is soon to be...lol

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

OK...now you've gone around once..we start the process again...

Color paper #1 in #4 spot

If you didn't make the sheet showing which paper is which it isn't hard to tell...you just keep counting and changing..you'll see that same color is overlapping same color..you'll know if you place one incorrectly...

Also, the folded paper sometimes has a side that is slightly prettier than the other, so I check and put the nice side towards the paper..no big deal..you'll see..

Are you ok Barb?
Am I going too fast...

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Have added 4, 5 & 6.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG you are ahead of me..lol...

Have you done this before?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty - number 8 isn't listed above Do we do something special with it?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I found it - # 9 is listed twice.....And no - I've never done this before.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Odd, never noticed that.. did check my angel graph and it's listed both numbers...

this is what the card should look like after the 2nd round ...

Off to do 3rd. round..I'm slower gals because I'm doing photo and instructions..need some kind of excuse..

That works for me - I'll wait and take picture when I finish with this masterpiece just to show you I CAN DO IT!!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

does that mean you are leaving me Barb?

Victoria Harbour, ON

OK next photo

Victoria Harbour, ON

Do the next round same as the previous rounds

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

What should be left after this final round is a little square of negative space right...

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Now add gold paper if you've enough left over or any of what you have left to cover the negative space...

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'd never do that Betty - might take a bathroom break but would never leave you alone in class!!!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Now carefully remove the tape from the front of the card and voila..a treasure you can send to any friend...

If you do decide to make more one thing I forgot to add...really crease the fold of the scrapbooking paper....
