I hope your order works Pixie. Very steady heavy rainfall going on here.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes I know Weeze...... it has to get it all out now so it can slow down around 1 and stop by 4. ^_^ I'm optimistic today.
Today is my youngest child's B-day, he's 22. Last night while eating I mentioned to him that I went into labor 22 years ago today. He just looked at me a second and said "But I wasn't born until tomorrow". I said, 'Yes I know, and I still love you anyways". LOL
Labor started the 27th of Oct. at 3 pm just as the other 4 kids were getting out the school bus. What the He** was I thinking??????? He was born on the 28th @ 1:31PM. Boy am I glad thats over!!!!!!!!

Good to know you have a direct line Pixie:-) Too funny about your son!

I opened the back door this morning and got hit in the face with steam. Its 70 going up to 76 with 100% humidity.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

50 and raining.

Wow, that's a long labor, Celeste - especially for a later child.

Happy Birthday to DS!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

All but one were like that Victor, called the Dr. a liar cause he kept saying the more you have the faster the labor. Not always true.
Child #1) 46 hours,
18 months later.... #2) 22 hours
12 1/2 months later.....#3) 20 hours
23 months later .... #4) 11h
5 years later......... # 5) 23 h
I QUIT!! LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh man! 46 hours??!! I would have strangled that doctor. Wow, none were quick.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm told they don't let you suffer that long anymore, they take it by c-section. Can't say I'd want to do it that way though, rather go natural.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, they won't wait nearly that long.

Torrential rain as the kids got on the bus - of course.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

rain here although stopped right now.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Happy Birth--Day Pix! It's so amazing to me how different the birth experience is today than when we had ours--it's a good thing!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Rained this am. Now 58 and sunny.

My first only took 21hrs. #2 was 7hrs.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Our first was about 13 hrs. Second was just a few - maybe three or four.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

More rain, they say it's going to clear out here by tonight. We'll see.

Happy b-day to your son, Celeste...wow those were some labor times.

I was in labor 17 1/2 hrs with the 1st then had a c-section, because his heart rate was getting erratic. Had a scheduled c section with my daughter because they thought her midsection was too large and she may have gotten stuck...lovely....
she was 9lbs 6 ozs and yes her midsection was actually wider than her shoulders. I do not recommend c-sections, though, very tough recovery.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thats a big baby Jen! My DD had big ones, I had 'normal' thank goodness!!
Yes, i've seen lots of women after they have had c-sections, much harder I think.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - big girl, Jen!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Celeste - Happy Bday to your DS!! I laughed so hard reading your "birth" story. Oh MY!!!

Today's weather in my garden.....STINKS!!!! I can't tell you all how horridly hot it is here. 93 with unbearable humidity today. My hairline was soaked the minute I walked out the door. All the plants I brought down here are still sitting in the carport because I CANNOT garden in this sticky mess!!!!! Hank played golf [like an idiot] today, and he didn't look so good when he got home. This just HAS to stop! It's ruining our reputation here. All of the neighbors count on us to bring cool weather down when we come. WE FAILED THEM this time. Pleeeeeeease send me some cool air.....QUICK!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

My sis is currently waiting for the next round of snow in Denver to make it to their 18" expected inches....wow.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I heard. My sis and BIL are going there for T-giving. That's where his mom lives.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Do you know where exactly? My sis lives in Thornton, which is north of Denver.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Louise you are from the NE - toughen up - too hot?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thank you Pixie... your request worked perfectly... it stopped raining just as I was getting home .. and more or less just did the misting thing on and off.. we had such a blast finishing up... we both love doing this way too much!!!... just grabbing little things.. setting them up... and fixing everything before they got here... we are both big kids.. can't wait for halloween now

49 now going up to 57.. at least everything will get a good dry out time

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Cloudy, it looked like the sun was going to come out but it disappeared.

50

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Both of my kids were 9.0lbs and 9.4lbs. My sistersa had smaller ones.
