Blooming Brug
I didn't do too much today. Not even what I wanted to do. I Buried my pet
Chicken that I rescued. Felt to Bad. My Sweetie has died. I bet that chicken
weighed 10 lbs. She was a big one. I am going to miss Sweetie. Even the puppy
was looking for her. I got her buried. I put her in that Armadillo hole, only I had to make it MUCH larger.
I put a Flower cart over her to keep the dogs out.

Charlene
I am sorry to hear about her passing, we really do get attached don't we? I can't find september sometimes, I panic
that crazy girl looks for crickets, then here she comes when I call her, she thinks she's my baby, I love chickens they do make good pets, I wish I lived where we could have Ducks & chickens,
Elizabeth
She was beautiful, so big she couldn't run away. I loved her. I used to have cats and
kittens when I was a kid at home. Our parents let us have them and had to be strict
or we would have been buried in pets.Sweetie was a good girl. I will miss her.
What are you going to throw away Elizabeth?? I really did do too much, I did go down
and walk in the woods a little. That is very soothing. I love the woods.
Charleen
Charlene
it's mostly clothes, a chair, & some nic nacs, clutter, I also have 2 desks, that are just in the way, nothing that I could sell
but I have to get the house ready for Thanksgiving, everyone comes here for dinner, I have to buy 2 foldings tables, my back porch is like a walk in fridge when it gets cold, so I put some of the food on a table out there, desserts that I don't have counter space for
Elizabeth
Supper was spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread. We very seldom have it, because the pasta and bread are neither one good for our sugar, but once in a while ya gotta splurge..lol
Charleen, so sorry to hear about Sweetie. I know you loved her.
Dee
Elizabeth, what brug did ya get from TCtop cat . I have read that he is a great e-bay seller.
Dee
Thank you, Dee. Yum. sound like supper was great. Sounds like Elizabeth is going to be busy for Thanksgiving.
It is not too far before Christmas is here.
Charleen
Dee
I got that BonBon, that's Blooming a double, He has some great crosses, he & his wife are both great when it comes to crosses
Elizabeth

Christmas is my favorite Holidays, I have 4 trees that I put up, & I do my tables really pretty, I love that time because it's not too far till Feb. my favorite month of all, because it's short, & I plant my seeds, also my clivia Blooms
Elizabeth
When it gets cold I may have to put my clivia outside.
How long does it have to chill it?
Charleen
Dee
sounds like you had a wonderful supper, I love pasta in any form, my DH thinks I am an itailian,
Elizabeth
I love Garlic. My husband told me I sometimes use too much. i was so surprized.
So I try not to use as much. French bread and Garlic is a good combination.
Charleen
Charlene
I think it's like a couple days, but don't let the frost kill it, just chilled, there was one the yellow went for $900.00 at auction, the friend that told me it had to be chilled lives in calif. they leave theirs in the ground year round
Elizabeth
I love Christmas too. We used to decorate alot outside, but we don't put out near as much as we used to.I do love to decorate inside, still tho.
i think March is one of my favorite months, because the Spring bulbs usually start showing green, and I know it won't be long before I see some color.
Dee
I can't remember what color it is, I want to say Orange.
I have had it a long time. there is two in the pot. I don't even
remember if it came with two stems. But a nice plant, makes no
demands just sits there looking good.
Charleen
I loke Christmas but My favorite is October is a good month,
it starts to cool down and I used to plant bulbs out but don't
do that as much down here.
Charleen
You girls will never guess what I got in the mail a couple days ago. my order of grape hyacinths....500 of them..lol. When I ordered them I was thinking of putting them in, to look like a stream. But now, that I'm tired I think I will just put them in as a border in the big bed out back, and a small bed on the side of the house. I do love the color of them, from a distance, when planted in mass.
Dee
I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow, so I can get them planted
Dee
Lordy, you better have a good shovel to do 500.
Take a tiller and make a trench. Thast will do it.
Charleen
Dee
I have them planted, all around, you'll love it when you get them all planted, they will be beautiful, I love them also
Elizabeth
I am planning on digging a trench, charleen, and the beds that I plan on putting them in,have been tilled once, so it shouldn't be too hard. I'm hoping my old hoe will do the job, since they don't get planted very deep.
Dee
They are pretty. There is a little blue one that comes up even earlier.
I can't remember the name there are so may bulbs that are pretty in the spring.
Spring and fall are best times of year.
Charleen
That sounds like it will work.
I got my Alliums planted in the new
Flowerbed. I'm sure I'll see something
else before winter is up.
Charleen
Elizabeth, when do you start planting the brugs outside and how far apart do you plant them?By having the green house you probably move several in there first, huh?
Charleen, I love spring bulbs too..
Dee
Elizabeth, did you start a new tread??
Have we lost you??
Charleen
Better send out the mule to find her, Charleen
Dee
I know that's right.
I just have to roam and see what I can see.
I think she's riding tonight.
Don't you??
Charleen
Maybe she's checking out the other forums. There are some other good brug forums out there. I joined one that I ran onto, and can't find it now...Can't remember the name...lol... It's **** to get old..lol
Dee
Charleen, do you have company in for Thanksgiving. We all do Thanksgiving at my youngest daughters house and Christmas here at ours.
Dee
Not any more, just me, DH and dogs.
It would be nice.Charleen
I bet the dogs get full with left overs, don't they? At Christmas, we have turkey and ham, both, because I am not big on turkey, afteward, when I clean the turkey from the bone, to make soup with, I always give the pups a nice plate of it..lol
Dee
Girls
yes I started a new thread, you haven't lost me, I had to run out reall quick & get the leaves up, while it wasn't raining
Dee, I put my Brugs in the ground at the end of April & have the sheets ready in case of Frost, when are you going to put yours out?
Elizabeth
Oh yes. the Boston Terrier loves Turkey and chicken too.
The little Chihuahua loves it too. That hound will eat about
anything. He is so cute. Of coarse, Missy will eat something just to keep
Pup from eating it. Durnest thing I ever saw.
Charleen
Dee & Charlene
the only other forum I check into is BGI, I love it there as well as here, the 29th of this month I will send in for my membership for 2 yrs, if I hadn't joined there I wouldn't have some of the wonderful Brugs that I have now, some of them I hadn't heard of like Velvet Lady
Elizabeth
I don't know when, Elizabeth...that's why I was asking.lol I can't remember when I put my noid in. How far do you plant them apart?
Dee
We don't give our dogs a lot of scraps, but they will eat about anything we eat, including dill pickles...lol
Dee
I may have to join that yet.
Charleen
