Dee sent me some wonderful EE, i didn't know there was so many. I have them in that aquarium in pots of peat most. I was scared to have them covered. Feel better now. When i picked the bag up that had the peat in with it, The bottom fell out, thankfully inside the box it was in. But got them now. Elizabeth what a great bunch of plants. I got all the ones you sent me but a couple I had. I enjoyed it.

Charlene
Dee sent me some Huge Cannas, I had the Giant EE's it was hard to dig them, but they're in the basement also
I need to take a Pic of this Blooming Brug in the basement, it's soo dark pink it almost looks red, I will get that Pic after while, I worked on the basemnet most of today, I got some of the clippings in peatmoss in my 10 gal, aquarium
now to find a good spot for it,
would you believe most of the Brugs I have now I got this spring/summer, I think I am set, plus I have all those seedlings
plus I have a ton of seeds, I did pick up a bag of seed starting soil, & I have about 5 or 6 of those mini GH's
so I am set for Feb.
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I don't have any mini GH but I got 2 litr btl. that will work. I am glad to have them too. I really like the 20 oz. bottles for the brugs , I put the brugs in the peatmoss and them packed it around the sides so they would stand straight up like little soldiers. so proud of them. I took the little Maya and repotted it in the peat also. Put Dee's tuberoses in that pot.

Charlene
I have the tuberrose also, but it didn't Bloom, it just got bigger, that's one I would have loved to Bloom, it's suppose to be fragrant, I'll have to wait, I wonder if Dee has a Pic of hers Blooming, I would love to see it
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

These are nice bulbs she sent. I really need to seperate them but I just put them in the pot.
You should see the wild ferns down in my woods, they are so pretty. but I leave them there.
i have been tempted to dig them, but haven't yet. There's some larger ones down by the water.
Not a lot just enough to be pretty.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charleen
a friend of mine calls them Christmas ferns, I think because the still look good a Christmas time, I ran down to the basement to show you some more Pic's

Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Evening Ladies..Look at all those beautiful blooms...I can small them from here. Love the variegated one...Maya?? Elizabeth, I had the tuberoses in the troical bed and they got shaded out by other plants, so they didn't bloom for me.Next year they are going in a pot all their own.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
next Sprin/Summer will really show, what the color is going to be, I like them both ways, in the ground & dug up, oh the Maya does have a good scent, it's suppose to be Lt. pink but it.s white, I love the varigated ones, but I have to tell you snowbank is a slow grower
Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Dee
that might be the problem, mine were in the ground but were shaded, thank you, I love those Blooms, I need to put the banana trees in the attic to make room for the other Brugs in the GH
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Right now I just want my little Maya to put on growth.
i hope she doesn't die.
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, your green house does look wonderfully FULL.I put my biggest banana in the spare bedroom, and the smaller pups here in the living room, where I can keep a good eye on them..lol
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
do you have Maya in a sunny window or under lights, mine is in the kitchen window, right now, but when it gets cold I have to move it

Dee
thank you, it is rather full, the meyer lemon, & the agave take up space, I am glad it stays warm without heat, it might make it till the first week of Nov.

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Elizabeth, It is in the ones I planted this morning.
Should I put it on top of the freezer? for the warmth.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
the one I sent you is P&C, that's one of the easiest ones to grow, botton heat does help, Dee uses bottom heat, I will be for my seeds, I'll use the inexpensive heating pad
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Charleen the heating pads work great, set on low. I have used them for two or three years, now.Just watch that the plants don't get too dry

i guess I could set it under the plastic box, I just planted??
It would be easy to do.
o.k. will it grow long and leggy for spring??
Charleen

Dee
I think Charlene will be like a mother hen over her Brugs, that's what I acted like when I first got mine, it's so exciting
to have those ne babies
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

do you mean with bottom heat Charleen? I only use the heat until they start putting on leaves, then I move them to under the lights.
Elizabeth, you told me that you use epsom salt, once a month, during growing season. Could you tell me how you use it?
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
they usually slow down, but in Feb. if you have a nice sunny window, they will grow just fine, at the end of Feb, I have this small like alcove at the bottom of my steps that go upstairs, I put a table there leave the curtain open so they get natural light till I can put them outside at the end of April
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I'm watching them, all I have to do is roll my chair back and there they are, under my desk.
The frosty pinks are in front, so they are all close. I also got the Moonvine by the window now.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Dee
glad too, do you have a MG sprayer, you fill it up with the epsome salts, then spary everything, flowers, Brugs the lawn
it works great, it greens everything up, must be a lot of people using it, the price has gotten high, catch it on sale

Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
it took me a whole hour to cut that moonflower off the neighbor's fence, it filled up 4 garbage bags, I usually take all the stuff from my garden to my DD's compost pile, well I have a bunch of leaves & a bunch of clippings to take to her house
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Yeah, that Charleen, is a old mother hen with her new plants, but I can't say much, I check mine every few hours to see if any more cutting are showing any sign of new leaves..lol
Yea, Elizabeth I have the MG sprayer.Wow, that 's easy enough!
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I got some mulch hay that i think I'm going to bring up and
put in my new flower bed tomarrow before the rain moves in.
I have a wagon I can use.
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

That will look nice Charleen, and help keep the weeds down. I love the looks of a fresh mulched bed...
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
I hope the rain holds off for another day or 2, I need to get some thinks done, you would Lowes would sell mulch in the fall, but I can't find any, I wanted to mulch my roses
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I still have to work on the last small flower bed yet.
don't have any Id What I am putting in ti. I have one spot I want to put in a
Goth garden, that shoud be interesting. want to find some black plants
to go in it. I have black mondo grass. guess I'll start with that and Dee's
black EE> What do you think??
Charleen

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Do you use the wood mulch, Elizabeth?

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I guess it didn't rain there today, Elizabeth? It rained off and on all aternoon and it's still raining here.
That will be different, Charleen. I do love dark leaved plants.
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Several girls are going to do it andI like the idea
and it should be something different to do.
