it's down right chilly here, but no rain today, thank goodness, I am hoping it will be pretty next week end for the trick or treaters, usually it;s still warm until halloween, but not this year, finally the sun just came out, I have been doing laundry
& potting up the rest of the Brugs, got my peatmoss moist, then put some clippings in it

I have a shower in the basement, I just pull them under there, I also spray them good with a product they call super fine
it's for all kinds of bugs, you can buy it at lowes, it's for aphids, they can get bad in winter esp. in the basement

Charlene
I don't go very much either, I like being able to stay home & get things done, I have my work cut out for me tommorrow, I have to get the donations ready to go out Tuesday, but I will be going to the Breeders cup, that's my favorite races to go to, the 3 legs of the triple crown, then the Breeders cup. DH me & a friend have been going to it for nine years now
I love it
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Horse racing?? How exciting. I wish I could go with you. I have never been. I saw my first Greyhound racetrack
this year. My old Friend and his wife love to go to casino to gamble and we went to Shorter, Ala. and they
have Greyhound races there. they weren't racing but I was so excited just to be there. I never win anything
when I go to the casino but I enjoy being with them. Hei family treat me like famiy. I love them all.
I hope you have a very good time Elizabeth.

my DH gets so mad at me, I play horses that never should win at good odds, they pay well, anyway, I tell him I have that ticket he saya you don't have that, then I show him right before I go to cash it, the most I have ever won was half of $4500.00 for one dollar, DH just can't figure out how I play, I try to explain it to him, he just doesn't get it, I have an account where I can bet online, to some of the major tracks, the thing is you need to know the trainers, if the horse has a good trainer he can run the race, after he throws the jockey

Hello Girls, Charleen your blooms are beautiful.I have been to th races one time, years ago, when I lived in Ky. Latonia??? Does that sound right, or familiar, Elizabeth? It's been a long time...Lost some money and never bet again. lol My ex-father in law loved playing the horses..lol
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Oh, Elizabeth, you know your DH isn;t going to understand. He's a man. It will never soak in.
Hello, Dee. Want to go to the races with Elizabeth and me? This is a far cry from Brugs but
very entertaining.
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I would love to go, but we will leave the betting to Elizabeth, She knows what she's doing!! Great win, Elizabeth!
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
how are you this evening, now that racetrack is called turfway park, you were right about the name is used to be Latonia, years ago the Breeders cup was one day only, the last couple years, the canged it too 2 days, it's nov. 6th & 7th, we are going for both days, we have been saving our money since august so we could afford it
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I am dreading Winter, no Brug blooms. But maybe my moonvine
will be blooming. It starting to grow. I will have to watch it doesn't take over.
Charleen

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Elizabeth, it sounds like the mule shows DH and I go to. Sometimes they
are three days long. I always enjoy them very much. Yes, you need to save money
for trips like that. But what fun!!!
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I'm doing great today...worked outside mowing leaves and just cleaning up the beds, a little more. Sounds like you had a good day!
sounds like a great time, Elizabeth. Good luck, and I hope you win the BIG bucks..
Dee

Charlene
not that far from Brugs, if you win you can buy more Brugs, my Peach Taffy is blooming in the GH, it looks a little bit like Frosty Pink, I would love for both of you to go with me, my motto is if I win big go to the Boat
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I ripped down the morning glory vines today. It's amazing how big just a few vines get..lol.. I grow Heavenly Blue morning glories every year. They have huge blooms, and I love the color. I hope you get lots of blooms on your moonflower vine, Charleen.Any blooms are nice in the winter, aren't they?

Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

That would be great, Elizabeth. There would be lots of yelling and screaming with joy from me and Dee too. Can't you just see the three pf us
jumping up and down with our excitement of winning. What a joy!!!!
Charleen

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

just not our beloved Brugs
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
get some spring bulbs, put them in water for winter blooms, that's what I do just for some color, but catch them at 75%
off, daffodils are great, they grow fast that way
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

WhooHooo!I have never been to one of the boats, but my sister has, and she loved it.
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

That would be fun, wouldn't it Charleen. They'd be saying...look at them crazy women!..lol
Elizabeth, I have potted up tulips a couple times and just left them sit out side til after Christmas, and then bring them into the warmth. They bloom in no time.Gives great color on a nasty winter day.

I used to rent a condo, awhile back anyway my landlady was 80yrs old, she made me drive to the one in indy, argosy
anyway, she lost I won, I kept telling her to walk around when someone gets mad gets up, then put your money in the machine it's set with a timer, to go off at a certain time, I couldn't believe we stayed until 5am, but she did enjoy herself
I never take more than $200.00 when I go to the boat
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I might get one of those.
This is where I buried my chicken. Had to put something over her to keep the dogs out.
So I hadthis little cart that had no home. Now it does. Protecting Sweetie.

I like your cart, it does offer some protection, plus I like how you have it planted, neat idea
Elizabeth

You know all the tricks of the trade, Elizabeth! But, I would consider myself a winner if I just made it out of Indy, with me driving...lol...I hate driving in Indy!
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Elizabeth, I probably wouldn't take that much. When we went to Cherokee I took about $100.00
I spent basic $20.00 a day. I was just getting onto it when we left. I didn't win enough to make up
for what I lost but I sure enjoyed myself. I told Mr. Ernie,"I didn't know you could have so much fun
Losing Money' he just laughed.
Charleen
