yeah, it's a nice one too! ceramic, even! No drain holes (yet). That's probably what happened - plant died from too much water, or by the looks of the soil, no water.
GYPSIES REMEMBER BASIL part 3
yeah you have that too...LOL....I'm doing some figuring
figuring for what? where to put the car parts? basement?
ok, I'm figuring on going outside now.
sorry I went in to wake him up and I fell back to sleep!
and I'm trying to figure out how to move car parts and then how to move the big plants where they are suppose to be, all without hitting my huge passie, but I may trim that back and make a bunch of new starts out of it, don't know yet
that's a chore. are they heavy? or just bulky?
I came back inside for a break. went out, cleaned up dog poop, skidded on the driveway with one I missed (that was disgusting!) and wondered how I missed a different one. So I put on my x-ray glasses and went poop hunting.
The I wandered over to my hydrangea that has to be wrapped up and found it had this huge ugly spider living in it. next! ... (waiting for DH on that one)
So I cut down the perennial peas. seriously, anyone want some? I'm digging them out. You need to have the room and proper climbing structure for them, they can't wrap around your run-of-the-mill stockade fence. I tried running fishing line, but they dragged it down. If you don't behave, I kick you out!
LOL I'll take some of course smiley!
and No there aren't heavy just bulky, or at least the car parts aren't heavy, some of the plants on the other hand are very heavy, but when your ficus elastica's are all nearly 6' tall they do tend to be quite heavy.
BF was whinning about the plants this morning, wonder how he's gonna react this afternoon when they are all put away and there's car parts everywhere?
his turn to clean... put them in the basement!
mine looks like this, not quite as deep a pink and I couldn't find a good picture of them climbing.

you need some of them wheelie things! K Mart is good for them, I got some there pretty cheap.
eh, better get back outside. There's a dark cloud out there that's not supposed to be there!
LOL yeah I have 1 of those wheelie thingys, I use it alot and not just for plants...LOL
NO NO NO dark cloud go away!
uh oh...I just found the seed trading forum! hehehehehe
Hi!
I will read everything later. But today is not a good day for me.
I realized that the plants that I took were from an apartment where some was living. No one was home so I wrote a nice long letter to them explaining my mistake and saying that they can come for their plants at their convenience.
Also, on my way back from dropping off that letter, I saw my neighbor on the corner. He said that Sharon, his wife, had died on Saturday. She was suffering from lung cancer. She was my closest friend and she always knew everything what was going on with everyone. I am sad.
All of that puts things into perspective. I am going back to bed for a while.
Hope eveyone is ok. -- Carol
sorry to hear that carol...I hope the day gets better for you!
Carol, so sorry for the loss of your friend. All one can do is be thankful for the time you had with her and grateful that she is no longer in pain...small comfort. I know.
What a snafu with the plants...maybe they won't want them back.....or will be willing to share. No matter what, the plants will be in much better shape thanks to your care.
Sleep is the great healer....please feel better soon.
Jean
moon what are caudiciforms and erodiums?
Aw Carol, so sorry to hear all that. Feel better soon.
what are you doing now Julie?
Hi all. Venice very sorry to hear about your friend. She isn't suffering any more and treasure the times you shared. I know that you will always miss her. With time your pain will ease. Get your self some rest and feel better.
taking a break. I finished pulling out the sweet peas. It wasn't as easy as it sounds, they have taproots as thick as my fingers. Some thicker! It was like a bad alien sci fi movie, I would pull on this teeny little thing only to find out it had an alien mother attached.
I'll go outside with my camera.

You guys do realize that my family now thinks I'm crazy, right?
I passed my 3 window boxes on the way out. Every year that's kind of my treat - to go out and buy the annuals for the window boxes. Costs probably $50 total. So now I have licorice trailers in there and I'm thinking hmmm... I can cut some of those and root them for next year. Smart? I thought so. DH says "where are we gonna put them?" Silly man, in the sunroom!
Plenty of room, don't you think?
I LOL'd myself. Didn't notice that empty spot on the table until after I posted.
Hey Moon,Trina,Smiley The Poo's are being kept warm and toasty at night. They had to pull out their long undies the other day though. Has warmed up some again. I have to be back at work at 2p.m. I,m thinking by the end of the week or first of next week there will be a verdict. Wish they would bring back public hangings here. This guy deserves that and more.
Just wanted to say hi to every one. Going to get something to eat. Try to catch yall later. Have a great day to all !!
hi and bye Dixie, hope everything turnsout

Sorry for you loss, Venice...I lost one of my best friends to cancer a couple of years ago, I still miss her. You know we're here for you!
Hi Lynnie!
I was gonna say, hey Smiley what is wrong with that big empty space in front...LOL
Have a good lunch Dixie....try to good thoughts going during all this....just know sometimes the system works.
Caudiciforms are plants with a caudex, a swelling of trunk or rhizome often used to store water, especially in desert plants....ie Desert Rose, Adenum Obesum
Erodiums are members of the Geranium family, that are most often used as rock garden plants as they do not require large amounts of water and prefer very sharp draining rocky soil, often alkaline in composition.ie cranesbill or heronsbill geraniums
Hi Lynnie...have ya caught up on your rest yet?
thank you Moon, then it is the caudiciforms forum I need to start paying attention to as my trader stuck a very nice sized desert rose in there for me.
and my neighbors must think I'm nuts! I have my iPod plugged into It's stereo/charging port system thingy, anyway, Earlier I was listening to B.B. King, the went to a little Tace Adkins, and now it's Modern Classical!
Hi everyone!!
Sorry to have gone off for a while.
i've been crazy busy with some out door work.
It's been so nice was very hard to stay inside.
Got a ton of yard work fishished. Yesterday spent most of it in the back prunning and Thinning my bushes.
Whew...today hauling some wood that needs to be split.
So i am sorry to say, i am way behind the campgrounds.
Hope that you all have been doing well.
Venice, So sorry to hear of your loss. So tough to loose a good friend.

Well i am off to eat something.
Hi seed, when you gonna come and stay longer?
Hi Seed....glad the weather is cooperating...been trying to do the same things. Good to see ya.
So Dave my Pony Tail Palm (but not a palm?) would be a caudiciform?
Hi Moon, feel pretty good, got some sleep finally.
I'm trying to decide which task to accomplish in the hour before parent teacher conference *grin* I'm on chocolate break right now.....
Hi Trina, Dave, Dixie, Seedtosser, Smiley hey wait a minute Smiley you had lots to do today! So did you Trina! Are you guys done already?
not done. almost done. had a war with sweet peas.
Yes Trina, it will take some time to develop. The one in the photo is around 20 years old.
Give it a fertilizer with a 5-10-10 ratio N-P-K to encourage it's growth.
Hi Dave, you are welcome. Sea turtles are so neat.
Good you got some rest Lynnie....sure the kids will wear ya out with early dismissal...grin. maybe the bellydancing clown will perk things up. Grin
