Guess we can stick with this name for a while (something for Dave)
GYPSIES REMEMBER BASIL part 3
oh wow moon where'd You get that picture?
It is one a friend sent me. He took it while scuba diving in Hawai'i
My son would love it...I prefer the dolphins...he prefers reptiles and amphibians
I love frogs and turtles...like dolphins too. I just really love critters...warm and fuzzy or not. Even the ones I would rather not touch I am fascinated by....even snakes.
Well, I think I am gonna shower and doctor up my scratches and call it a night. Hope everyone has a sweet evening...catch ya on the flip side....
Night, Moon
Good Night Jean...Sleep well and rest your scratches!
Hi! Trina are you the only one there?
I think so!
Did you find a pot for your monster?
Are your other ones potted?
I have a pot for the monster aloe just no dirt at the moment, still have to pot the 3 broms, woodrose, and the coleus once they perk back up a little
Yesterday morning it sounded like someone was building a house above my bed while I was still sleeping. I finally got up and saw that they were installing carpet upstair. Last night wasn't doing so well and woke up early this morning but went to bed late. I am going to watch the Good Wife at 11:00 and must be ready to get in bed then.
Tomorrow is our turn to have our building reshingled. Pound, pound, pound all day long!!! Tonight I have to move my car and move some things on my patio if I don't want them punctured by a flying shingle! I have some things to do outside yet before it rains on Thursday. But I don't want to be decapitated by a shingle either!!!
Even with free plants you still have to get a pot and some soil. Fortunately, I have had more dirt in my pots than what I needed for repotting. So I keep gathering up all the extra for early spring planting. Are you going to plant seeds inside for spring?
LOL
That's not funny! I was taking a walk this morning and I forgot that I was walking by a building that they were installing new shingles. I walked by with my hands over my head! Sometimes they go flying anywhere. Maybe I could work outside if I had a helmut!!!
Probably, that way they are a good decent size before I move them out
So you are planting seeds inside for spring?
it's not funny from the point of your safety, it just sounds funny.
I know. I wasn't serious!
I am so tired today, I feel like every ounce of energy just drained from me
Why don't you just go to bed?
Is it raining down there trina?
not raining here and I have about 30 minutes before I can go to bed
Hi Venice,
Taught the kids how to do the Asian beetle stomp after school today.
Got garden all cleaned up and some flowerbeds ready for winter. Put out some more Halloween.
Vacuumed up all those bugs in the house. Hope they disappear soon.
It was sunny here today and will be tomorrow.
Started raining here about 7:30.
I'm about ready for bed.
JJ, LOL Only you would know the Asian Beetle Stomp! So funny! I saw a couple of ladybugs today or they looked like it. I wonder what the difference is.
We have to see your H. decorations!!! Be sure to get photos.
We have a chance of showers tomorrow, but its suppose to be high 60's.
I hope it is, I only have to work until 1 and GS and great niece don't get here ntil 3:20. If I skip the computer when I get home I might get yardwork finished.
JJ, with that rain, it was good you got all your winter stuff done outside today.
Well its not all done but close. There is nothing left that will really matter if it don't get done.
Will just be a little more work in the spring.
it's raining there JJ? well that explains why my head hurts then!
JJ, hope it doesn't rain for you tomorrow or at least rain later in the day.
Tomorrow I was going to level out my soil. I have 3 piles of leftover compost and I wanted to spread that, fill in holes, even over the bit of mulch that is left. Then put down some mulch around flowers.
I also have all those pots to sort out and clean. They are a real mess!
I wish I had 2 days instead of only one.
It's stopped now. Hopefully it's done.
Got to go let the dog in and think I'll head to bed.
Don't stay up all night.
JJ, night and don't let those beetles bite.
Sleep well!
I have some mulch off of the garden DH raked into a pile for me.
Don't know what to do with it because I had such a time with that blight or leaf spot on my tomatoes, that I don't want it near my flowers.
We covered the garden area and going to try to solarize that spot.
Well I'm off to bed.
Have a good night and peaceful sleep when you finally get there.
Hope all them beetles are in the vacuum.
Night
Night JJ, sleep well
LOL JJ
JJ, what do you mean by solarize?
You cover the ground with a tarp or plastic and put something on it to hold it down in middle, and bury the edges . Leave on until spring.
It is suppose to get hot enough under it to kill any spores or bacteria that overwinters in the soil, like the bacterial leaf spot and other things.
