Yes, ladybugs are good for a garden. They are good at keeping aphid's/ spidermite's and probably more "not wanted" insect's away from plant's by making them a delightful food source.

They are asian lady bug beetles venice. And yes they eat pests like aphids on soybeans, and I happen to have a field of soybeans in my backyard.

But they also migrate by the thousands into every crack and crevice they can find to hibernate for the winter. They bite and if you squish them they stink.

A few wouldn't be bad but when they start picking the beans and the beetles leave the field I have seen them get so thick that you couldn't see the side of the house or whatever they were on.

Be glad to send you some, you can put them in your garden next spring.

I've found that the best way to get the bugs out of your house is to leave the door open. Then once they find their way in, they have a way out!
