GYPSIES REMEMBER BASIL, pt 2
System restore takes your CPU's operating system back to a point before the virus infected it. You still have to use a virus removal program to isolate and delete the virus.

Hey Jean, we have wild blackberries here. How did they get into your hair?
WOOOOHHHOOOOOOO!!!!! HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE
Moon is right on the system restore thing, Venice. Computer virus programs are well worth their money. Our IT guy recommends AVG, which we have on our network and also what I have at home. Catches all kinds of things.
The most important thing to remember with any computer and virus program is to install all updates. If it isn't set to automatically update, you should set it to do so.
Wild blackberries.... mmmmm !
Dave, do you have the ads turned off on DG now?
What did you get, Trina?
Dave, they decided to move into a shrub border along with some Bull briar. They were all tangled up in my weigelias and viburnums. In the process of cutting and yanking them out I got a bit tangled in them and they in turn got tangled in my hair....evil bugger that Bull briar....thorns an inch long and nasty sharp. Trying to stay out of the Bbriar, I wasn't watching the blackberry....TaDa....snarls of blackberry in my hair and stuck to my clothes.....you think I'd have known better....grin
Moon, do you happen to have a picture of that? ;)
WOW! FLABBERGASTED!
Oh, an entire portfolio, Smiley....the first thing I did was grab the camera to show you all how NOT to do it.....GRIN. No I don't have any pictures of me cussing and writhing out of the shrubs....grin
Yes, took me a while to figure out. I'm very surprised that Dave's would allow riff-raff for sponsors!
Sometimes those ads are attached to legitimate ads Dave. You might want to go the Davesgarden forum and leave a message there. That is one forum Dave checks regularly as do Joan, Terry and Melody. It is sort of the general question/complaint/problem forum.
Hi Kassy. Hope you are enjoying your Jury-free day.
Thanks Jean. It would be good if they can screen that stuff. I still get about 100 spam-mails everyday. Before the trauma, I was only getting a couple.
Smiley, my son was a computer teck for out internet company, and they are still trying to get him back.......LOL
He is now doing computer teck problems at the Shopko main office here, and has 8 months left of school for computer networking.
That's who I go to with any of my computer questions. He builds all of ours from the motherboard out to the case. ^_^
Wow Dave, thats a lot Try what Jean suggested, but that is how some site get some of there money. And some sites will even sell your e-mail address for a price to other ones. I sure hope this one doesn't ever think about doing that!
Hi Jean, not so sure how I feel yet. Glad I didn't have to report and hoping I don't tomorrow either, because I feel a cold or the flu coming on :-(
Trina, love that #3!!!
Dave, sorry about your computer. I know there are all kinds of programs for problems on the Internet. But I hate to download anything!
Dave, by the way, when a plant requires full sun, does that mean it can tolerate direct sun?
I really damaged my large pineapple plant. I had to repot it in the same pot. It was about ready to break off and it was crooked. I will have to take a photo of it and just maybe you will allow me to (cut) off a few leaves. Just a minute.
Wow Trina, what a haul! No Christmas Cactus??
Nope No christmas cactus. ow...freaking cat...That aloe is massive!
Trina, that aloe is very massive!!! Do you have a pot that large? Where did you get all of those? Number 7, does that have bulbs? Is that an arrow?
I just had a horrible thing happen. About 20 minutes ago, I had some fat worm like thing on the floor. Really creepy. Then about 5 minutes ago, I had a fat black spider fall in front of my face from my hair. It was on a long web and hardly could get it to the floor to smash it. I had my head in the leaves of the a. tree to take that photo of the p. plant. My skin is still crawling. And I shake when I feel something tinkle me. Worms and spiders belong outside!!!!!
Yes Venice I actually have several pots that large. Yes number 7 is bulbs Elephant ears, though what type I don't know, and I got all that in a trade
Venice! I feel your pain!! I could handle the worm, but not the spider. I'll tell you a story to take your mind off it:
Once upon a time, yesterday in fact, Katie went into the ladies room at work to go potty. When she opened the door, there were 3 little mice sitting on the edge of the wastebasket playing tightrope walker. Then she screamed "EEEK!! EEEK!! MICE!!!" and ran out of the ladies room.
So we got Big Game Hunter Brad to go in there with his teeny bow & arrows to catch the mice. Not really on the bow & arrow set, but it sounds better than his big work boot.
So now there are no more mice in the ladies room but Katie still has someone check just to make sure. And now there are also sticky traps and they can't get bihind the cabinet either, so if they were smart little meeces, they would stay out of our ladies room.
And that's the end of my story, which is obviously true.
Trina, from what I just read, those are the kind of bulb you have to dig up every fall!!!
Where is your trader from?
What did you trade for all those plants?
Yes If I were to plant them in the ground I'd have to dig them up, but I grow mine in flower pots inside so the grow year round....she's from florida, she said they grow like weeds in her yard and if I want anymore just let her know!
and I sent her 6 cuttings from my henna coleus, 1 aloe vera pup, 1 fire ranch aloe pup, 6 cuttings from my ghost plant, and some seeds
Wow! That's a might fine weed!
So you think Dave will let me cut off the leaves I damaged in the pineapple plant photo at 3:14?
no don't cut off the leaves!
and I'll take more of those weeds anyday! LOL
Venice, if you are talking about the bent leaves, just cut them off at the bend...the plant will still benefit from the nutrients supplied and the plant will look tidier.
I put points on the other damaged leaves also. Looks much tidier.
Moon, one more question. Does full sun mean that a plant can have direct sun?
More plants for Trina.
# 3 & 4 Neoregelia carolinae 'Tricolor'.
# 5 Maybe Neoregelia carolinae 'Meyendorffii.
# 6 Zamioculcus zamiifolia.
# 7 Alocasia.
# 8 Maybe Aloe saponaria.
# 9 Looks like an Agave.
Yes Carol, full sun means direct sun.
Great!!!! Thanks.
