hey, Jaye, I'm forgetting most of the sisters names again....
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞169
Jaye - I forgot to say, Bob's sending your pkg out 5-day service. Anything quicker, and it would be over $100!!! Yikers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Kim!!! Glad you have some time off.....
Glad to hear so many or on the road to recovery...yesterday and today are the first days in weeks that my tummy hasn't given me fits so hopefully that is going away also. Jaye you take care.
Fifties and pouring rain here today so mostly inside stuff today...play with the paint a bit...mop the kitchen floor......may even try out that new bread recipe... It is Sage night tonight so I got a kit to do a Haunted Gingerbread House, so you know what the kitchen counter will look like for most of the night...lol.
But nothing is going to get done if I don't get up and get moving! Talk to you later!
Susan, postage is getting to be the real pitts isn't it???? :(
It sure is!
and if I were filthy stinkin' rich, I wouldn't mind the $100+, but I'm not, so Jay won't get it OverNight lol
Just gonna have to wait 5 days LOL
All sent with Love, ((((((((((dear Jaye))))))))))))
Marion, now you could enjoy a peaceful dishwashing experience ;)
When we had ours replaced, I kept telling Kel to make sure it's working!
It's okay to have the slows Pegi. That's our body telling us it needs a rest... wait.. I have the slows everyday!!!
My Judy... you HAVE been busy!! You should call it a CuteCrow... that won't scare any birds away! Good job sistah!
I can smell those fried bread from here! You too could add mashed sweet potato to the dough. Yummy... that's what my mum used to do for treats.
Bonnie, that's okay as long as we know what to call you!!!!
Did the smart thing Susan. Even postage for domestic use has gone up crazeeee!
There was this box I was about to send via priority, and the charge was $35 because it's oversized. Mind you, the weight is less than 5 pounds!!!
Every year we send our "French' nieces and nephew Christmas gifts. But not this year, it's cheaper to send cash, by the time a $30 jacket will cost an extra $30 in postage!!
Trisha, how's that 16 year old getting along with her pregnancy? She's lucky to be getting help.
Did you paint that bird?? Beautiful! I'm sure Sage will offer suggestions to improve on that gingerbread house!
Have fun!
Latest info from Crissy (prayer forum) about her mum. It's in bold--her words-- don't know how to do that "quote" thingy...
She said that she doesn't know "how numb I am right now," but she feels like it did a lot of good, but still has the feeling from that nerve, so she might have to get it cut even still. I still don't know what the dr did exactly, she didn't bring it up, but maybe he's waiting until today when she's fully awake to tell her. She spent the night last night in the hospital for "observation" and is supposed to go home this evening. She was eating full meals too.
Crissy, it's a good sign if they're discharging her that soon.
Ok... back to playing outside!
Love you too Susan!
sooooo good to hear about Crissy's mom going home so soon!
ok, ok..... how do you bold, underline, italicize, etc????
I know how to write upside down, and backwards here, but not the common stuff everyone else seems to do siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh
~Susan~
Judy, love that scarecrow, what project is it for? Maybe just because you wanted to make it?
Trisha, love the bird, he is so pretty! I never learned to do watercolros, and don't know what you mean when you say you have to mask it off?
Bon, glad your all on the mend.
Donna, glad to hear your a bit better too. Geesh just so much crud going around.
Marion, glad you like your new dish washer. We still use out hands here. Just the two of us here, and we don't dirty that many dishes.
Judy that bread look really good! My Mom used to make fritters like that, and would even put corn in it!
I agree with the postage going sky high, and they are still saying they are going bankrupt!
Todd and I will be going out to Applebees for dinner tonight.
Later
LK
Have a great dinner LK. By chance will you be checking into sewing machines?
I wish, there are no stores here that carry them, so I will have to make mine do, until I can get to a bigger town. No sewing machines, no fabric!!!
We will be in San Angelo in a few weeks, so I will go shopping then. I can get it to sew for a few minutes before it messes up again.

LK, bring yours to the shop, you can use it for a back up.
It's always better to get one locally, in case you need some service.
How far is San Angelo?
My closest quilt shop is an hour's drive. At least the local WM still carries notions and VIP fabrics.
I am with you Susan, don't know how to do those things either :*(
I haven't heard anything yet Jaye....I'll have Bill ask Mary to keep us updated, maybe even get us a picture when the baby arrives.
Yes, that is a little bird I did a few years ago...I have been finding some of my old stuff...it reminds me of how much work I need to do to get back to that point again...

Finally asked my honey and he said a plain sharp knife, whalla took only 3slices...
I don't usually keep stuff I make, but i thinki I will keep her, LOL, named her Gypsie.
Now i think I will make another and send it to Gyspie for sending me some bulbs.
Actually now i'ld like to make a bigger one, have lots Jean legs i could use and julia just offered some more!
OMG, it down right icky outside. I should spark up a fire.
Here's one to keep you all cozy warm.
I wish we had a shop here. No place here sells or fixes machines! San Angelo or San Antonio is a three hour drive!
Please let me win the lotto so I can open my own shop!
Jaye You are my hero... I promise I will keep on popping in as often as possible.. It means so much to be able to chat with all of you...
Susan.. You are not alone.. The best I can do is my lil LOL and LMAO.. Maybe even a :)
Trisha your eagle is very nice.. I sketch constantly.. Matter of fact I need to mail out Miss Staceys templetes.. Darn it I forgot again..
LK AM feeling better alittle more each hour... Had alot of people in the shop today and only 1 was sick so its a good sign they are staying home if the crud comes out.. Hopefully that trend will continue..
Well Tony is out at his dance.. sigh I think Im gonna try to figure out how to install what I need to make the camera card work.. Just gotta ask max... Be back later
That molebot is awesome!! So, what did she win, Judy? Good job Breenie!
I see a whole canister of glued on rhinestones in the back?
You need to sell your CuteCrows, Judy! So charming...
A family that crafts together stays together ;)
Poor you LK, and here I am complaining of an hour's drive. I bet if you open that quilt store, you'd be making a killing. Keep buying the tickets and cross all fingers and toes!!!
Donna, just let us know once in a while how you and your family's doing. We may not say it enough, but we do worry when one disappears for too long.
Good to know business was good for you today.
Can't wait to see handsome Tony all decked out for his first dance-date.
Off to do some clothes... and listening to Law & Order.
Hey all!!
Happy Bday Kim!!!
Ouch niece!! Bet you had more cosmos for the healing ;)
Nope-I was hung over all the next day and a good part of the day after. The worst was waking up with my face sticking to my pillow-ewwwww-and the fact that it hurt to smile, laugh, any movement of my cheek and my eye was swollen up and I couldn't blow my nose for like a week on that side....
Stacy OOOOWWWEEEEE that looks lik eit hurt pretty bad.. If you were closer I would offer to do your hair for you..
Thanks Donna-it's not that I am the type of person that is overly narcissistic, but it has been so long that I'm not really feeling human anymore. Could you see in the pic how my hair was up and the bun part was all blond while the rest was brown-EVERYONE thought I had a hairpiece in!!LOL I just laughed and said I was trying to be Ohera(sp?) from Star Trek-LOL BTW-no biggie on the templates, I appreciate you doing them, so I can be patient...
KATHY-I love you my dear and need you to please take better care of yourself.
Donna-can't wait ot see pics of the dance ensemble;)
Pegi-I trip over my feet too-but what I always say is "Hey-did you see that _____ jump out in front of me?";)

Oh Lord in Heaven. I think I need a code key....ok, I'm gonna have to back a bit to figure out what y'all are a doin'. LOL
everyone is feeling better. after a gorgeous day yesterday with us still inside, it's been spitting rain off and on all the day long. it's dusk now. but in the breaks I managed to pick up a load of compost for my sister Melanie, offload the load of sand I already had with Randall's help, mix up 2 mixer loads of potting soil to plant irises in, and plant all the pots except two that those loads made. not bad.
my back is broke. that sand was wet and heavy, and so were all the other potting soil components. I'm supposed to be making a meatloaf for the sick girl. She's better but not completely free of coughing and sinus pressure, which she gets a lot with a rain.
did I tell y'all that Ruth had 64 ride tickets to the State Fair we'd prepaid? she went on one ride the night before she took sick and it made her so queasy, she and her friend didn't do any more. so we gave oldest daughter Bevin and her fiance James $$ for food and admittance and all the ride tickets as part of her birthday on the 26th. Randall has been teasing me about being the mother of a 30 yr old for weeks.. GRRRRRRRR...
best get a cooking! bye for now.
Hello, hello, hello... room seems to have a slight echo!
Donna, Tony is more likely to grow up into a all American Cool dude :D
Does he always put his hands in his pockets? Seems to me, a sign of a very well mannered, very thoughtful young man and tolerant of his sister.
Your mum's a beautiful lady.
If ever I have that chance to pay you a visit... scrap hiking off your list ;)
Thank you for sharing.
Can't believe you're a mum of a 30 year old, Bonnie! Ready to be a grandma yet?
Get tired reading of your work in your garden and helping your sister.
Can't wait to see pics of your blooms next year.
Had been sleeping when we got back from our Saturday shopping. The town is hosting the annual Yam festival and most of the roads were blocked. Had to make a long detour that turned from a 5 minute ride out of town, to a 15 min. ride.... via country roads.
Not truly a remarkable fair, as I'm accustomed to overproduced ones back in Louisiana. Not many patrons this year, the rest must be in the many gambling halls just opened.
Yah.. in this town of 2,000 there are 5 Las Vegas connected gambling halls via internet.
Roll Tide, Sister Kathy!!! That kick was blocked well at the last minute!
You must be thrilled!
LK... are you watching the games?
Bon Gla to hear everyone is doing so much better. Tristen is about the same way with the coughing but thats it.. I have some plants I must pot up tomorrow that came in today off the plant trading board. She sent me a big box of daylily, iris, baby hydranga, sedum and sme other goodies,,, I have some cameo quince comming from a grower I dealtwith while I was in Fl.. Very sweet lady.. Have to go to lowes tomorrow for soil..
Jaye mental note made for no hiking if you come to ohio.. Although its a great trip and can be done slowly if you plan to.. We went to Old Mans Cave and ts lot of steps and well caves.. lol
As for Tony thank you for your compliments.. I never really thought about it but he does have hi shands in hi pockets alot.. Hes growing up so fast I can believe it. Wish I could have gotten a picture of cheyenne with him.. shes so cute.. I try to always remind both Tristen and Tony to remember their manners and not to be too rotten.
Heres another great one for you including my mom.. I gotta say I feel blessed to have not only a great mom but shes my best friend.. O and Bella really loves her....
Hehehe.. you corrected them Stacey! How are you today by the way?
Never heard of a cameo quince, but I do have a bi-color quince that needed to be pruned. How do I propagate quinces, Donna. From hardwood?
Lucky are the Mamas whose children feel lucky to have them.
Donna, 20 years from now, mark my words... Tristen and Tony will be telling you that.
Maid M.. are you around????????? I got some fabrics to make some placemats for the Christmas swap.
Well, another name's added to our prayer list. Some of you know of Tubby. He has cheer a lot of DGers and a faithful regular to Betty's thread. B/W. He certainly need our prayers.
Hi everyone!
Jaye thank you so much for posting that for me, got all tangled up yesterday and today finishing my crafts. I haven't talked to my mom today yet.
Well I'm in a hurry, Dave had a fiasco at work with his co-worker having a flat tire, long story tell ya later when I finish reading the posts, but he was only expecting to work between 2pm to 6pm and is just now getting off, he didn't take any food because of it and he's hypoglycemic. I'm meeting him for Chinese Buffet on his way home.
This is the Christmas Birdhouse I've been working on forever:
Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat ....ROFLMAO...SURPRISE!!!!!
I know all y'all are in shock and fell out of your chairs to see this post here
Nope I didn't fall off the planet I'm still here jsut trying to get myself straight.
After the wedding I've just gone into a slump sorta...yard work to get done for winter, work work work ..up at 5am and off to work to be there by 6:30 if not sooner if driving a route and not home til 6pm after driving a route if needed and being there for drivers that have questions or helping the boss man with videos when the student conduct guy was out since I am one of the few computer savvy ones there.
Bj and I had a post orientation at a house on Lake Palestine with the kids then we went to the rose festival coronation program ..oh my gosh girls the dresses are WOW something else then we had a float for AFS in the parade
then the boss finally saw it fitting to send myself and the leader trainer to College station to the train the trainer class we have been asking for for a year now. so last weekend I was there from friday to Monday
his weekend is the Halloween party sleep over for the kids but BJ and I didn't stay for it we dropped off her girls then came back here and I fixed a baked salmon dish and she brought me a loaf of her homemade potato bread (yummy)
She is staying very busy with having the 2 girls this year and come Dec 4-6 I will be in San Antonio at a conference as I will be the Hosting coordinator for East Texas..have alot of things to learn between now and then yet too ...LOL
So we are both alive and well just busy but I do think and pray for all of you daily even if I don't post in here every day .
hey there Phyllis! nice to see ya. don't ask me what's going on, I keep getting farther and farther behind in my reading! these girls still be a chatty bunch. don't worry, everyone goes into a slump now and then. you were just crafted out after than wedding! sounds like work and the ordinary life had ya busy. that's life!
I'm back up. Randall decided it was Saturday and I was worn out and filthy and he didn't want to wait for the meatloaf, so it was pizza and a video. afterwards I sorted/tagged irises until my eyes crossed (that didn't take long). was so tired I almost didn't have the energy to crawl into the shower, was too dirty to crawl into bed. what I wouldn't have given for a nice hot bath/soak. This old heap of a house has no working tub drainplugs, and both tubs have those sliding doors that always make me claustrophobic. yuck. it's times like this I miss the big house with the jacuzzi tub. was in bed 9:30.
now I'm back up, I've drunk some milk, ate some turkey. now I'm on a hot cupa tea and visiting with my sistahs.
Morning everyone! Phyllis, Bon, it is noce to see you both! Phyllis, tell Bj, she is missed dearly here, and we all say Howdy!
Well, I thought my knee was getting better, but yesterday morning it started hurting real bad, so I will call the Doc again on Monday!
Jaye, thanks for the info on Tubby. He does need the prayers!
Coffee is on, with some cheesy biscuits!
Later
LK
