Took awhile, but got it done!

Here is the sealed floor, soon ready for painting. Painter's Caulk on all the nail heads; Liquid Nails in all the cracks.

Dark room I'd go light blue

Do you need to sand the floor so it won't have lumps? What type of paint will you use?

It will get painted with primer, then any problem areas will be block sanded and retouched with primer. After which, it will be painted with deck paint.

Light blue might be alright; it is on the sunny side (South) of the house.

Eventually I may put down a nice wood floor, but for now the painted tongue & groove flooring will do.

JJ, the H1N1 flu has been around this area a lot. Last week 2 schools had 40% of the students home. They closed the schools down for a few days.

OK, time for me to get some sleep, as I have been lucky enough to get put on Jury Duty all week. I don't mind doing it, but it sure messes up my week not knowing more then from day to day if they need me. Have to be there at 8:15 AM in the morning, so that will mean leaving here early as it is about a half hour drive, then find a parking spot, then report to the court house at least 3 blocks from the parking area.

For a bedroom, lounge, and library. Mmmm. What color are you thinking about for the walls. What colors are you drawn to or makes you feel most comfortable within all the natural environments you have experienced. What I would choose would be different from what you would choose.

I feel the colors should be a soothing.

I think lighting in the room is important to highlight the different areas. Reading lights by the bed. Soft lighting in the lounge area. But the library needs brighter lighting on the book shelves and on the reading table.

A variety of textures would give that room some life and interest.

Kassy, I was on jury duty once. They went through all kinds of paperwork and name calling for about 2 1/2 hours. Only to find out that we were all dismissed! Maybe that will happen to you also.

White on the walls. The rest of the house will still be lots of books, music, plant stuff, & rocks. The new room will make it so that there will be a place to sit down in here. I don't have enough room for everything.

After getting the lumber pile out from under my house, I will set up a transplanting and potting station that will be out of the rain and off of my picnic table.

Not much sleep here tonight little squirmer in bed with me. Finally got settled down and power went off for a sec. Tried to set clock in bedroom without waking little munchkin and the dang thing went off full blast LOL Put him in the bathtub and snuck in here to catch up on forem and he came in here with towell wrapped around him and said " Mammy why do you have to work on that pooter?" Gone to try it again, Everybody pray for me!! See ya in a day or so LOL.

Trina I liked the first costume with the bloomers....so cute. But a gypsy is good too!
Dave when we built our porch we used tongue in groove and painted it a medium gray, a nice neutral color, I can change things around if I want without re-doing the floor.All the trim is white. I did see a picture of a porch with an aqua ceiling (check out bhg.com, nice pics) and it looked really cool & I'm tempted to do that to mine. Your room being multi purpose, you just better pick something you love because you'll be in there a lot.

I was thinking a neutral gray also. I get my warms and cools mixed up, but with white walls Dave can do whatever. Can also go to behr.com and play.
