3rd Annual DG Christmas Craft Workshop..won't you join us!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Betty, love the costumes! WOW, to do all that with no pattern! I wish I had half of your talent! Make sure you post the finished costume if you can?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Judy I don't know if I'm hooked or not, it took me forever to do those, I'm just not dedicated enough to stick to one thing and it takes me forever to finish it.

Betty I can't wait to see the rest of that costume, how cute! It's hilarious what kids can come up with.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty you are one very talented woman. They are going to love those costumes!!!!!

Crissy, with each project it gets easier..I'm sure you are enjoying their beauty...just to be able to say "I made this" is worth the effort..

Costumes are now on their way to the city, thank goodness...lol..wether they fit or not is the question..not my worry I guess...

I've done well this a.m. - wide awake ... almost done the 'thank you for joining the Christmas Workshop' gift for each package, should have gone to Michaels for more wool for the crochet afghan I'm doing for Darlene for Christmas..if I still have this much energy by 4:45 might take a run before heading for home...

All projects except for the Candycanes have scraves..bought the fabric, will post a photo tonight so you can tell me which you'd prefer..choices/choices lol...

Audrey, you are doing the candycanes, do you have a color you'd prefer your bow to be..I'll get out my bucket of ribbon, take a photo and let you choose...how's that for group choices..

Betty, why not red?!!! Or green, both are pretty! Surprise me!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Sounds like the projects are moving right along!
My painting? Slow, slow. slow!! I am working on a landscape right now...a few minutes here, a few there....It still has a long way to go...

This is the beginning. The masking is in place and the first wash is on the sky and the mountains.

Next was the mid range hills and some of the water....

and I am up to the next layer of trees...

as I said, still a long way to go....more trees, rocks, water, lots of shading..... may finish it some day....

OMG Trisha that's beautiful, for you or a 'gift item' love watercolors but don't like that I cannot control the medium...on the last treeline, blue green, did you use salt to eat away some of the color..wish you lived closer...

Audrey, will do, will pick the prettiest of ribbons..making myself one as well..loved it when I did it in class, not sure why but I think I might have been in the giving mood about then, had about 10 and not one for me...glad you chose this project as it will encourage me to do another for myself..

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Yes, a sprinkle of salt to add a little texture....
I will probably keep this one....just learning for now.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Are you doing it on your own?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Have a book I am working with, and watching the shows on PBS.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Trisha, that will be so nice when done!

Victoria Harbour, ON

You are very artistic, keep painting..
I'll have to look for some of the books I have on watercolor and send them on..might have thrown them but maybe not..can't look till the weekend .. will let you know if I find them..

Can't believe I'm still full of energy with only a few hours sleep..probably get home, sit for a sec and go zonkers..hope not, would like to get a few projects done..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty sometimes I do that and it doesn't hit me for 3 or 4 days later LOL! Love the chicken, need to see it on to get the full effects.

LOL in your mailings, I use sticky notes for my address labels sometimes.

Hobby Lobby is having a 50% off sale on all garland, wreaths, and swags! This includes all of the Christmas ones too! I had fun at lunch lol!

I'm going to have to look at the fall garland I already bought to buy more of it, I'm 99.9% sure I know which one it is but that .1% makes me nervous.

Wow Trish! Great job even though it's slow, who cares!! LOL

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful job Trisha. I wish I had some of your talent!!!! You have a wonderful "eye"...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)
