just dropping in to say hi. fixing to go do bills but wanted to say hi

too many posts! I was watching a really cool show on Discovery Science called 'revenge of the plants'. They had a sensitive plant (among tons of others) and were trying to scientifically determine if they had memory, could feel things, etc..

It was really, really cool. Of course, I will only remember bits & pieces of the details, because that's how my brain works. (... but I remember where the remote is...)

yes, they do. They took a couple seedlings that were in small cups and put them on their sides for a few days. Then they put them upright in the fridge. When they took them out, a couple days later, into the warm room (again) they started growing sideways, as if they were tipped over. So they have memory.

I kinda dozed off (heh.. heh..) during the mimosa part, they had electrodes hooked up to it to see if they closed up because of the touch or something else. It will be on again, I hope!

There is also a plant they call 'the dancing plant' that reacts to sound. The leaves actually sway back & forth when it hears sound. That one has them stumped because they figure in the case of a predator, it would draw attention TO the plant instead of away from it. I want one of those!

Now I really have to go to bed.

Well, it is time for me to get to bed. Floss my teeth first. I do everything at my desk, floss, make up, computer, printer,tv, phone, dvd, lamp, fan, plant, pills, box of tissues, mirror, a big pile of papers, seeds drying, spray bottle of distilled water for avo trees, and all kinds of odds and ends. Make up is in my drawer! I need to go through those papers and clear up all those odds and ends. Obviously, my desk is big.
