GYPSIES MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
There ya are Venice. We all thought we might have to go looking for ya. Got back from Wally World few minutes ago. Passed several boats going that way. Just threw up the old hand and waved. You would have thought I wan one the Yale Rowing Team. I was gettin it girss. Grin. Yall would have been proud.
I still have some things to do. Later on this eve. I am going to send yall a picture. It's A SURPRISE !! Yall will have to tell me what you think, after I send it.
wow Venice you did good! That first one is a crassula or jade tree....I'm envious of that one and the bromelaid
Preeeety plants Venice.
Keep it up and you'll have as many plants as me and be looking around going how'd this happen?.....LOL
Hello out there? Am I all alone again?
Tina, are you still there? My computer wanted to do an update and who am I to say no!
That little plant has a sticker that says Elephant Bush Portulacaria afra. All the stems and branches are woody.
oh cool!! You really did good..it's a succulent so it takes less water....I'm finally opening that second box of coleus...it got here friday but life happened...anyway, everything in the box is still fresh! and she threw in a big baggie of different seeds and I just found a baggy of about 50 to 100 daylaily seeds too yeah!....however alot of the annuals I tried to hold over didn't make it....so that drastically knocks the house plant count down!
Sorry you lost those annuals but gracious sakes you still have plenty!
alright now i know this cat is supposed to be mine, but dang it, she's supposed to entertain the dog so I can work....I knew this was gonna happen....good thing they are both light
that just means I can reuse the pots for all this coleus and the few others I got in trades, trying to get it so the kids can eat at the dinning room table again
alright I admit it...I have too many plants....but I love them oh I got so much work to do still!
Can you put a cushion or something really soft on one chair, put pup and cat therek, and put it close to you. Show them they can sit there and watch you.
I just bet you will need all of your popsicle sticks. So just keep them and I will look around. Ok?
I suppose it would be best to label all your plants first, then making your list won't be so bad. (I know it is still a monster!)
Have you made your errands today yet?
I have no errands for today! Yeah! I can even take a nap if I want too!...LOL I buy like 5 packs of the popsicle sticks at a time so I am sure I can spare some Carol, it's no big deal!
I wish Dave would show up. I imagine he will be here later this afternoon.
1) I don't know the name of this bromelaid and I can't find it on the Internet. I have found that some need more water then others. And that is it! Full sun or what?
2) Both of these plants, the bromelaid and the elephant bush, have soil that is soaking wet. I think maybe if I take them out of their pots and put them in a much larger pot, they will air circulation and have a chance to dry out. What do you think?
I thought you were going to make one special errand today!!
yes venice I did and the answer was no...
Dixie that was good love the elephant ears behind you
No?
When I went to wally world I purchased the teeth. Yall check out the grill !!
Dixie, you look well prepared and dressed for swimming, boating, or golfing. LOL
Just keep up that singing!!
What no one likes my teeth?
a no a definate no
Love the water wings too Dixie, and the floaty...must have the floaty
Hey look Dixie found her costume for Halloween...LOL
dang! you're a skinny little thing, Dixie!
Moon, I'll check with Bill on that soap recipe. He made it years ago, it involved Fels Naptha soap and boiling. I had to watch the pot and the neighbors were cracking up because we were outside talking and all of a sudden I said "oh, I have to go check my soap-it's boiling on the stove" and went running for the house.
But I've squirted some dish soap in a gallon of water with a couple blops of alcohol and used that, too.
(Yes, that's what my cooking recipes look like too)
Afternoon everyone! I had the fun of going to the dentist this am so I have a pile of work on my desk and still have to check the banking website...
See y'all later!
Dixie, I didn't want to say anything. I thought something looked a little odd about your mouth. I didn't know if that is how you look normally or not! So I sure am glad told us about your grill!! Silly girl!!!
hey smiley!
trying to decide where to move car parts to so I can put the plants in the plant hallway where they go instead of everywhere else
I started to buy this other set of teeth. I think they probably would have shown up better in the picture. I think over all it turned out quite lovely. Dont yall agree?
I saw the teeth and immediately the rednecks jokes just came into my brain...LOL
LOL!
Good morning everyone! Aloha aku!
Jean, is that Mynah Bird living in your area?
Carol, don't cut any of those leaves off of your Aechmea fasciata, Vase Plant. None of the leaves look bad; don't cut any leaves till they are brown and dead, as the plant is reabsorbing nutrients from the leaf as it gets old, until it is brown.
To help the plant you could transplant it to a larger pot using an organic soil-less growing medium such as coconut coir. Do not fertilize Bromeliads.
I do not feel insulted by Flowers jokes. I just don't think it is funny to make fun of other peoples. One learns more about other cultures by inquiring about them, without making fun of them.
Better to compliment a people and ask about them, rather than to make jokes about their supposed past cultural habits.
My apologies if I have offended you Flowers.
Hoo Boy Honey ain't we high stylin' in real tall cotton right now? Too funny Dixie....SCOMM..
LOL !! Yeah Venice,if I had teeth like that wouldnt go out the door until I had some serious dental work done. Aint no amount of Tic Tacs in the world gonna help that !! Grin.
Do wish I had bought the other teeth. Oh,well may be next time. Hey Dave.
hey now I'm trying to find a dentist!
Dave, you don't think I need to dry out these roots first? That soil is really soaked. I poured off the water in the leaves.
And just where do I find coconut coir?
