Stacy - I was just being fascetious - We're all alike in DG (sisters), and that's what draws us to each other. You mentioned some stuff, and I related to it. That's all.....
Anyway - It's a beautiful day, and I just got home from the church's basement sale (no, we didn't sell well, the only ones who came were the congregation, so we supported each other lol)
I have to get outside and pull out my dead annuals, and put my dahlias to bed (bring them in)
Take care everyone, and have a Wonderful Day!!

Susan-maybe we are related. Facetious is like my fave word-LOL I use it more than any other word for being a smart ars.
I;m glad that you all get me since using words like diatribe and facetious are words I normally use-peeps make fun of me in the mom cyber world sometimes when I speek.
Thanks LK ^-^
I think we almost all are old enough to be Stacey's Mom. I like a kid that has a good command of the English language. :0). Not many of them out there anymore.
Cookie, I took a peek at that 'store'. She certainly has competitive prices and carry my favorite brand, Moda.
Aww thanks LK. Wish you're closeby too, I have all the space you need for your plants!! Anyway, I won't mind having any sistahs for neighbours, just for the great company!
Pegi, peripheral neuropathy 'stays' with you 24/7. I'm taking Lyrica for that, and it helps me sleep through some nights. Guess we're not lucky enough to be old in this century... no body parts store!
Figured Tristen will enjoy grandma the most!! Oh Donna, who knows, next year you and your family might take a trip back to Fla. and your mum won't have to put up with cold Ohio weather ;)
Maybe you can find the part online? If it's just the belt, it won't cost much.
Hope you find a good deal on a heater, Donna.
Hold on now. are you sure it's not "fartitious", Susan?? That's Kel's specialty!!! ROFL!!
Ohhhh.... you mean facetious!! Ahhh... aren't we all here.. always on the flippant side, but never meaning to hurt anyone..
Forgot to mention that our church had a bake sale today. Don't know how they did, but my contribution was 2 store bought cakes. Not up to baking. If they had wanted something sewed, that I can do..
We managed to spread 15 bags of mulch this evening. Ooops... Kel did that. 45 more to go!
Stacey.. ^ _ ^ no space in between ^_^
I am in shopper's shock!!!! I went into my very first Hobby Lobby today. My life will never be the same--nor my checkbook now that I think about it. LOL
Sleep well all.

Bless your heart Maid M!!!!
Yep, in a way, I thank God there's no Hobby Lobby at the beach yet!
Good night all.
hmmmmmmmmm I went through my fabric stash (is 2 tons of fabric a stash, or is there a LARGER term for this lol)
anyway - I found some very large pieces that I could make an entire outfit out of, and still have some left over for quilt blocks lol
You're right, Jaye - that's Kel's area of expertise LOL (not that I'd know for sure, but you told me, and that's not something one wants to fib about LOL LOL LOL)
I drew out the pattern for an apron tonight....... hahaha ooooooooooh buuuuddyyyyy........ lol
I'm having fun with sewing again. It's been a long time since I've done fabric stuff (embroidery, sewing household stuff, etc). I just might try some clothing (in the new year, perhaps - now it's quilting, and stuff).
I picked up my quilt BOM (got 2 of them in fact) and I'm looking forward to the cutting/sewing. Just a little nervous about the cutting, cuz they supply you with a little extra in case of mistakes, but not that much, and I don't have any of the same fabric. I could, of course, replace it with some of my own (got enuff! lol) but I'd rather go with theirs for this month. They have to be done for the 15th of Nov.
Well, off to do more embroidery (not for the apron, buddy). Have a peaceful night, and cya tomorrow!! ^_^

No Hobby Lobby in this state.....what I would give to have one here.
Pouring buckets here when we got up this morning......Sage woke us up with a cup in hand to tell us the pond was getting too full and she needed to go and dip out some of the water!!! We voted down that idea.
Have been working with Mary (one of Bill's employees) and our Church group today. Mary is a single mom with two kids and is a Doula for a young girl who is due to have her baby any day now...the girl is 16 and homeless, her parents threw her out. Mary and her group have finally gotten the girl a place to stay. Our church group is coming up with all the baby items, crib and some financial assistance for her. I am asking all of you to please add this child and the child she is about to have to your prayers. Our Church is also hosting the local homeless camp through November.....30 tents in all.... And this camp is the better off part of the growing homeless community, at least many of this group have some sort of minor employment. It is a very sad situation.
Well we are in the 13th inning of the baseball game so I am going to call it a night and see what happens here....have a great Sunday everyone.
I have a store here that is the bomb!!! It's called Craft2000 and is even better than HL-LOVE IT-it's the first place place I go when I need something.
My fave fabric peeps are Kaufman and Hauffman. LOVE them for the most part. It seems almost every time I find a fabric that I'm in love it is from one of them......
Well, it's official. I;m 33 now-UGH!!! Where have the years gone??
Thanks Susan!!!
Cookie-I can't and won't look.......not til I have a job and expendable $$-LOL
Thanks Tante-hope this works ^_^
WOOHOO-it worked!!! ^_^
Happy Birthday Stacey!!!!!
Happy Birthday Stacey..... Hope it is a good one...
Morning everyone! Coffee is on!
Marion, I thought everyone had been to a hobby lobby! Sounds like you had a great time there?
Morning Ladies
Stacey.. Happpy Birthday To You!
Trisha sage is too cute. I dont think the cup would have helped much either but what a cute idea... I will keep that young moter and baby along with all the others in my heart..
Marion we have a Hobby Lobby here too but I havent gone in yet.. lol I know what they had in Fl and I know I will hurt my budget if I walk in that store..
Jaaye.. Yeppers Tristen really loved having her here.. She spoils her rotten since she is the only GD.. The part for teh sewing machine is more like a rubber gromet (the hard kind) and so far I havent even found a place that sells parts for the one I have.. Its pretty old but I think i twould work fine if I can find the part.. I will keep looking for sure and hopefully run across one.. Mom Says she wants to come up in June when she knows it will be nice so Im looking into tickets already..
Susan what fun.. I cant wait until I can get into a sewing swap.. I used to love to hand sew things but since I started barbering my hands dont agree with doing that much by hand anymore.. I guess my fingers and wrists get enough of a work out cutting hair.. lol
Thanky Thanky ladies-going to sit in bed, watch chick flicks and read;)

Morning Ladies,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STACEY!!!!!
Last night our power went out, right in the middle of the NASCAR races!!!! I was so mad!! It didn't come back on for over two hours. Don't know what happened but the peeps behind us had power. Just as I was falling asleep it came back on and the tv blasted away, scared the beejebes out of me. The this morning just as I was getting all my login info back in to all my sites it went off again.
Yesterday I dug about 25 feet of drainage ditch and built a retaining wall. When it rains the run off sits in our side yard and it becomes a swap. So now I have the ditch for it to run into and out in to the street ditch. Have another 75 feet to go ugh :( The weather is nice and cool so that helps. Might get some more rain Mon & Tues.
Thanks Cindy;) I had a little chuckle with the power thing-LOL
HA HA not funny when I missed the races and one of my guys was leading. Now I need to go to NASCAR.com and find out what happened. ^_^
Dave just emailed me ^_^. He has been really busy trying to fix his tractor and he says we will be getting together soon.
Steve and I have been texting each other since 6:00 this morning.
Cindy, that is a lot of work, don't over do it.
Sorry you lost your power for a short time!
Trisha, saying prayers fot that little girl, that is about to be a mommy herself!
Happy Birthday Stacey.. Before I got CRS really bad I could almost remember 33. :0)
Love ya,
Juanita
No I won't. Mom asked it the rototiller would work. I told yea but the dirt is still pretty wet and it would just sink. Besides I look at it this way.......weight loss, lol. I'm getting into more and more clothes that i have been hanging onto, just in case the day would come. And it's coming hee hee. I'm hoping to be down to 135 -140 by my 55th b-day. Then whoever I'm dating at the time is going to take me out for a night on the town. I didn't celebrate my 50th because my hubby was killed the month before :(.
A big happy birthday to my Tinky Winky!!! Don't worry about the numbers--that is all they are numbers, nothing more, nothing less. It is what you do with them that counts. Humm sitting in bed watching "chick flicks" would any have JD in them? If so move over 'cause I will be on my way for sure. Love you Tink and hope you have the bestest of days.
BTW, anyone who sews there is a new swap on the sewing/quilting thread--Secret Santa Swap--check it out. Not good with this copy/pasting thingee.
Happy birthday to you, ♫♪happy birthday to you,♪♫ happy birthday dear Stacey,♪♪♫ happy birthday to youuuuuuuuu! ♪♫♪♫♪♫
Love you baby girl!
The wedding was fantastic....I heard the Father of the Bride had put back $20,000 for the event. I believe he probably spent most of it!! Fabulous! I was afraid I'd have a hard time sleeping in the same room with my folks, cause I don't like to sleep in a hot room. Well, they said they didn't either, but they kept waking up in the night saying I'm cold....
so I turned up the heat and threw the covers off! They made a big fuss over them at the wedding being the Great Grandparents and their two little 3 year old great, great grandsons were ringbearers....oh my they were adorable!
Hope your Sunday is awesome!
So Cindy is dating 2 guys now??
Thanks Juanita, Tante, Auntie M and Auntie Cookie
Nope-no JD-it will be the last 2 episodes of the vampire diaries, then PS I Love YOu, then Twilight, and maybe some Bridget Jones......I LOVE Rob Pattinson-that young hottie in Twilight!!!YUMMY!!!
Yep stacey i am ^_^. Well, I haven't had the 2nd date with Dave yet. Steve and I have been seeing each other since Labor day. Man i hope I don't get caught. I'll be up s*$t creek if i do, lol. luckily they live in different towns.
I don't think that's true-has either of them asked you to exclusively date them?? If not, then they have no right to get upset....You are a modern woman trying to figure out the right person for you-ya need variety to comparison shop;)
Shucks Tinky, I had my girly jammies on and was waiting to head your way. Oh well, enjoy the day--every second--you just remember you are fine wine--improving each year!!!!
Um yep Steve. He's pretty serious about me. But he has a lot of financial problems and not very much work lately so we don't see each other very often. As a matter of fact it's been 2 weeks since we've seen each other.
Dave lives here in my home town and works with a guy that bowls with my mom. Ane he is 11 years younger than me ^_^. We were suppose to go fishing yesterday but things got messed up. He told me in his email this morning that we will be getting together SOON!!!! lol
hmmm-a conundrum for sure. Better to have too many flavors than just vanilla....LOL
Sorry Auntie M-I don't have any pirates....I don't even know if I have any JD movies...hmmm....might have to look
A beautifu sunny day here, I dressed for going out to play in the dirt and here I sit on the computer.
Maybe someday we will get a hobby lobby here, I think that could be wishful thinking. We had a Lee Wards at one time and loved to shop there, the then Michael's bought them out. I think I have some small craft things around here with Lee Wards name on them. We all went crazy when they began to make everything down.
Happy Birthday Stacey!!!
Jaye, it's not you, me or NC. LOL
I'm messed up because in 2004 I had a little bitsy "procedure" that was almost an outpatient status - 2 hours, a little incision in my groin, with a drain, and I was done and going home. 8 days later, I was rushed back for emergency surgery - 3 kinds of infection, sepsis. 9 days of megaton intrvenous antibiotics, removal of infected tissue, dressing changes that had me screaming loud enough to carry down two hallways, then sent home still wide open - no one sewed me back up that time. Had to heal from inside out, nurses dropping by at first twice daily for the dressing changes for two months. all kinds of pain meds. my body chemistry has been messed up ever since. within 2 years they found out my thyroid was nearly fried. found out later that post surgical infections are on a severe rise nationwide.
y'all will have fun with this - the reason I demanded my docs do something to remove the spindle of abnormal lymph nodes that was causing the first problem? yup, you guessed it. it was ruining my "frisky" times with DH. It hurt if I had too much fun with him.....
ahhhh well. sex has always gotten women in trouble.....ya gotta love it!
Found out what caused out power outage last night. A goose flew into the lines, 300 peeps were without power for almost 2 hours. Poor goose :(
oh, yeah, and I'm a gardener that's allergic to all grasses (except the smoked kind), half the trees, etc.
but LIFE IS GOOD.
Randall fixed french toast, bacon and orange slices for breakfast. Ruth had her last of the season soccer games in Chilly air, spitting sprinkles. They won today 4-0, and no one wanted to be subbed off the field because the only way to stay warm was running up and down, and boy were they flying like gazelles! We've just come back from meeting with the team at Cici's. They had fun with the buffet, thanked the coaches, etc. we had a blast visiting with the parents over food. even shy Randall had fun telling stories.
yesterday I traveled with our ENCIS president, her husband and another member to Roxboro for an ENCIS meeting at Bob Pries home. They designed the house, and he is quite the plant collector. finally, someone with more plants waiting in pots for planting than me! He had quite a bit of the backyard done. His neighborhood is odd, though, as his home was built just as the real estate market tanked, and not another one has even been started yet. they have over 10 acres, mostly for their dogs.
Dr. Roy was there. He doesn't make too many meetings, he's so busy now with AIS. I had so much fun, but we didn't get to have our program. Bob and Rosemary have an extremely ill Irish Wolfhound at the vet's. Their office called as we finished the luncheon to say that they might want to come be with her. we insisted they go, and we left. but we had even more fun talking all the way home. Unfortunately, it was just overcast enough as we left, I forgot to put my wrap around sunglasses on, so halfway home a headache started before could get them back on, but I was so very very pleased with the company and conversation and ideas discussed that I woke up still happy this morning!
It is decidedly hot cider weather here. Tomorrow, I begin potting irises againa after a weekend having fun. still have quite a few to go. have promised myself no trip to the State Fair unless I finish! the fair started Thursday, and if I don't get the lead out, I'll miss it! I'll miss the copper kettle FUDGE!!!!!! The Moravian spice cookies!!!! the hot hushpuppy free samples!!! the smoked turkey leg!!!! the hot CIDER!!! the fried pickle!!!
............I'm giving myself a belly ache.
