Thanks Pegi. I'm hoping my granddaughter will take good care of this so that she may pass it on to her children. My daughter has my Barbies, that I gave to her when she was little, she let's Taylor play with them once in awhile. I think when I give this to Taylor for Christmas my daughter will let her have my Barbies all the time.

This is the livingroom and bedroom that I need to finish. That wall paper is a bugger to put up. It is not the right size so I have to piece together and try not to have any lines, yea right!!! ^_^

Cindy I have seen your work...if you can't find the correct size toilet, get some polymer and make one.........

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, you funny Trisha ^_^ . There is no way I could make a toilet.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Seems we have auto trouble today, Maid M. But not as bad as Kim's. Oh to be a fly on the wall when you gave that man your 3 cents worth!! I'm sure you had him by his ****s!
Basic human decency and especially integrity is practically chucked out of the window by most businesses nowadays.
That's why Kel still has his retinue of faithful clients, cause he stands by with what he has promised.

Judy, you are so right. We're lucky to be in this age, where we don't have to travel just to stay connected with our love ones.

Good time for soup Trisha. You're a smart one for making the type of cornbread I like. I don't understand why lately many country restaurants here are serving sweet cornbread!

I cooked supper too. Tired of leftover baked chicken, so baked some country style pork ribs, with salsa verde poured over them. Try it.. so simple, no extra seasonings required. 350* for 1 1/2 hour, uncovered. There'll be a bark of course on the top surface. Yummy! Serve with buttered pasta.

You are good Cindy!! Your grandaughter will love it. Any girls would!! I do!!
Trisha is right. Pretty sure, with your creativity, you can make one to fit it... or just make an outhouse!!!

Pegi, it's just getting down to the 50's here. Been raining since yesterday and Kel brought in the potted brugmansias. Some of them are budding, and I'll get to enjoy them in the gh.

Good idea there Barb.

Got a very important announcement here.

Kel and his dad learnt this afternoon that Murdock's cancer is 90% gone!!!!

Hallelujah!! Praise the Lord!!! Thank you for your prayers my sistahs!!!
We truly believe in them.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I DO BELIEVE, I DO BELIEVE< I DO BELIEVE and I always will. I'm so very happy for you, Kel and Mr. M.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, I was nice, didn't lose my cool but did want him to know just because we were woman he wasn't going to give us the old it's not my fault routine. He is/was the owner/manager and it looks if he wanted to save his reputation he would have taken a different attitude. Well, the car has been towed to Valdosta, thanks to the Subaru Customer Service line and if they have it longer, she will be furnished a "loaner" car. The car is barely a year old.

Our rain has slowed for the moment but there looks like more on the horizon. Good for my plants but not for me. I want to work outside while it is cooler. We shall see.

Oh Jaye, the ribs sound so good. We had pancakes by request. Enjoyed but nothing is better than country styled ribs to me.

Cindy, a beautiful job on the doll house. Luckly litte girl. We still have Kim's Barbie's (she never played with them) that I think she will pass on to the little pirate princesses in the future.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Barb has said it all. Prayers answered for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glenview, IL

Ear to Ear Grin, So very happy to hear the news Jaye, Kel and Murdock!!!

Thank you dear God.

Cindy, Your doll house is spectacular! Do you make this from a kit or you create everything?
Woweee, fantastic either way!

Geesh, I somehow pulled a muscle, I am so sore it hurts to breath...

Susan, I wanted to also say, i understand where you are coming from.
Have a big family...being away from them I am always kept out of the loop.
...So Happy to be a sistah toyou too!

You go Marion...

Ok I need to go do something with this pain, can't think.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, I'm so happy to hear that!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, that is great news about Kel and Murdock! He does answer prayers!
Marion, hope the car gets fixed pretty quick!
Good night everyone!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, give them a hug for me...such wonderful, wonderful news!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I had to go back and read the wonderful writings by seedtosser and Jaye. Were just so great, wish I could have felt to write when I lost my son, but I was so lost I don't think I even knew my name. Having all you wonderful DG friends surely does help smooth the way.

Jaye you have been through a lot over the years, God Bless every one. So happy to hear about Kel's dad.

I think our rains are over for a while. Supposed to be 90 in the valley, so glad I don't live there. Now I've got a lot of pots to empty rain water out of, but my plants do look happy. Just like miracle water.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

(((((((((Pegi))))))))))))
I am so sorry about your loss. I'm sure the grief is still there. Please know that we are all here for you too.
When my grandmother lost her son (my father, her only child), she was in her own world for months. My mother and two siblings stayed with her and coaxed her back into reality, and helped her grieved.

Thank you, thank you, each and every one of you. On to attack what's left. We know He'll take care of Murdock even though he has problems with his blood count.
The plan of attack for the remaining cancer is a stronger treatment, but once every 3 weeks, instead of every week.
Murdock has said if he lost to cancer, at least cancer hasn't removed him from God. Amen!

He is aware of my special sistahs praying for him. Tonight, he expressed his thanks to you all too, and to please continue praying for him.

Maid M. I didn't tell you what kind of auto problem we had. On the way to pick up the replacement Viking, Kel caught a flat tire.
When the tire went flat, he managed to pull away from the busy thoroughfare and drove into a place of business parking lot.
Guess what kind of business it was? ABC Liquor Store!!!
Kel's truck has the business logo emblazoned across the doors. He's pretty well known around the area... so you could imagine tongues would wag if we were seen!
First thought I had was to offer this excuse.. Sistahs ran out of Bailey's and the back door was closed ;)

Tomorrow morning is my doctor's appointment. Will bid you all a good night.
Love you all!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh Jaye - So Good To Hear About The 90%!!!!
And you take care for your appointment, sistah!
hahaha ABC liquor, eh? hmmmmmmm yeah, I suppose tongues would wag LOL
Maybe you could tell them it's medicine? yeaaaaaaaaaaa riiiiiiiiiiiiight lol

awwwww Judy - thank you, sistah!!

Marion - kick that auto dealership right in the.......... awww geeze, I can't say it, but you KNOW what I mean lol

I LOVE MY SISTAHS, MUCHO GRANDE!!!

Tomorrow I go to pick up my BOM from a company called Traditional Pastimes. My cousin said I could use her name, too, so I'll pick up 2 ^_^
At the end of a year I'll have 24 blocks. The pattern name is Autumn Leaves, so that means, by the end of October 2010 I'll have 24 blocks, and by Oct 2011, I'll have the topper done LOL
Nah, I may have the quilt done by then LOL I'm Such A Procrastinator lol

~Susan~

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Jaye that is great news about Murdock. YIPPEEE!!! Good luck with Dr. today.

If it ever gets daylight here I might get to work. :)) Raining and cold. I think Fall is here for sure now.

Wishing everyone here who is in pain a better day than yesterday. I know what it is like to deal with that everyday. It can really get you down.

Big snuggly hugs to everyone. Time for those flannel sheets I think.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is on!
Jaye good luck on your appointment today.
Juanita, we use flannel year round here. They are so cool in the summer time. They are 100% brushed cotton, and they breath. Nice and warm in the winter too!
Hope everyone has a great day!

(((((((((HUGS)))))))) to all.
LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
No coffee for me this morning but lots of water. My vein's kinda hard to find and techies had suggested plenty of water to pump them up.

And yes, Susan, a bottle of JD would be great medicine ;)

That's all we can strive for Juanita. A better day each day than all the yesterdays.

LK, at the quilt stores, they're selling 100% cotton flannel, but kiddy prints. Wonder if WM carries them. Would be perfect for my first rag quilt.

Off to the doctor's. Not too thrill but got to be done to prolong my life.

I do hope you all have a fantastic day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yeah Jaye, drink that water. it will help with the tech finding those veins.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, thinking of you and I feel it in my bones you are going to be okay. With all of us cheering for you--it just has to be.

ROFLOL, I can only imagine the tongues that will wag!! Of course, if they have nothing better to do then that within it's self is a pity. We are just waiting to hear from the dealership in Valdosta what the problem is with Kim's car. Not the best place to have the car and it means I don't have a car for a while. That is a bummer!!!

We had some rain this morning but not sure what is expected the rest of the day.

Take care all.

For anyone wishing to join our 3rd. DG Christmas Workshop, I'll post the following thread link...

Raleigh, NC

wishing I felt like reading, but I don't. migraine is coming on.

but so far had a good morning. got to water aerobics class. Ginny was there! she's not been there for a while. she's 93, and just loves this class. but I did too much and came out of water with dead limbs and sore back. easy to do when it's Thursday deep water class, weight of my own body pulling downward - even with skibelt on for easing weight and flotation was not enough. only had one spell of dizzies, and only for a moment.

doc and I have talked. I went through these same exact problems after 7 months bedrest with last pregnancy. started blacking out and having shortness of breath with simple movement. he says either I keep going to these classes and gradually get moving again, get it back together, or I live with not moving and no breath the rest of my days. we have 4 generations of long living relatives to prove that's not going to be a short life! the dizzies probably started with my meds, due to all my meds saying they can cause dizzy, but after a year of mostly sitting down, it's become self fulfilling prophecy.

so if I get to class tomorrow, that's my doc's goal this week, 3 times. I'm exhausted, and headachy, but happy. Doc says with motion, the headaches are likely to go away, too.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thinking of you Jaye...hope your day goes goes well.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sorry to disappoint my sistahs' expectations.
Visit didn't go well today. My hemaglobin A1c is at 10... supposed to be below 6. Shots, 4 times a day aren't sufficient :(
There's protein in the urine, and tomorrow, will be bringing my 24 hour jar to the lab.
Blood pressure's ain't wonderful with what I'm taking. Back in a month for a check up on that.
Doc checked my eyes, and noticed some 'dullness' in the back, so I'd have to do a sleep aepnia study next month.
I have to admit, sometimes in the middle of the night, I woke up choking or gasping for breath.
Now how can they conduct that study, when I have imsomnia?
Waiting on blood works result next...

No wonder I'm all 'broken' up!!

I need a hug :(

Glenview, IL

OH NO!! So what does tha mean Jaye, Will you have to take 5 shots now?

Oh Sistah, Sending and thinking Tight ARMWRAP'S for you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, sending lots of gentle ((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))) to you! Please take it easy, watch your diet when possible, and make sure to take your meds as directed.
My hubby is typeII diabetes, and I tell him these things all the time. Does he always listen? No, but sometimes!
We do worry about you, so take care.

Bon, we worry about you to. Just take it one day at a time, and do what you can to get moving again. My physical therapist told me that when one hurts, say a knee, it takes several months for those muscles to recover, but it takes persistance!
Saying prayers to all of those in need.
LK

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye, so happy for Murdocks good news, and so sad for your results at the Dr. office. Are you a candidate for an insulin pump? Sounds like it might be what you need. Jordyn's A1C was always high until she went on the pump. Now the number is consistently good. ((((((Jaye))))) wish I could be there to give it to you in person.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Aw (((((((((((((Jaye,)))))))))))))) wished I was closer so I could do it in person. I sure wished I could make it to Cookie's this next June, but it dosen't look like it. Hmm wonder if Steve would like to go to Ohio?????? Need to talk with him about that.

Steve has sleep aepnia and uses a CPAP. It is a very quite machine. But when we went camping it wasn't charged up and he couldn't use it. I didn't sleep to well. His snoring was bad, but then he would get real quite and I would lay my hand on his chest to make sure he was still breathing, and when I did that it would wake him up. We had talked about it later, me not knowing that I woke him up just by laying my hand on his chest, he said that it made him smile knowing that I cared that much. Well crap!!! what if he had died on me, we were way up in the mountains, no cell phone working and the nearest store was only a few miles away but I didn't know that. He said he wasn't worried, he knew I would be ok because I knew where the keys to the truck were. GAWD!!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Cindy, you need to come......(bring candles.... ;o)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, I was just thinking I need to get some made a do a Home Show. And Steve does makes things using horse shoes. I will talk with him about it. ^_^ If we aren't OTR by then.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Cindy, that would scare me to death, not know if they were breathing or not! I have a friend that uses that cpap also, and hers is pretty noisy! So is her snoring! But it does help her.
Jaye please keep us posted as to your test results.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Wish I had a nickle for everytime I'd punched my husband and said "BREATHE"!!!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Extra big hugs for Jaye. You are such an upbeat gal and so many health issues to contend with, praying for better results from now on. I feel guilty at times when I complain about aches & pains when others have it worse. Here I am 20 years older than you are and have no major health issues Pegi, get on your knees and thank God for good health!! DH wears a sleep aepnia mask now, took a little while to get use to, but says he does sleep better now.

Went over to Bettypause's thread on workshop and such great ideas. Have to go back and really look them over when I have a little more time. Time, I always manage to have time for things I like to do. Did you know housework causes warts? It's true, my mother even had a cross stitch magnet on refrigerator proving it. I think she was thinking of me when she did that one. ^_^

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Cookie, I need to check into flight prices. So what airport is the closes to your house? I think Steve will be all for this.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I meant to comment on that adorable doll house. I think Taylor will be one happy little girl come Christmas. I always played with dolls and sorry to say that was long before Barbie came along. Often wonder what happened to all of them. Never had a doll house though and I didn't have a daughter to share my passion with.

Yes, the CPAP machine is very quiet, but sometimes I wake up wondering if he is still breathing. He has been using it since May, so still fairly new.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Feeling much better now. Got a good.. Thank You Lord for Everything!!! Now could You please help that 6 year old boy in the sky?

I'm taking shots of Lantus, 40 units, once a day. Humalog 3 times a day before each meal, up to 53 now.
I get pricked 4 times a day, before meals, so the so called proper dosage will be given. I'll have to do more 'prickings' in between meals, and give whatever shots necessary to bring my blood glucose down.
As for diet.... LK..... the only way I can regulate this through diet, will be a tofu one... I'm scared that my pancreas is not producing any more insulin:(
I don't want to be slated for an appointment with an endocrinologist. Cookie, you may be right. I may be a candidate for the pump.

My diabetes spiraled after the heart surgery too.
Only good thing and a puzzling one from the check up.. is my feet.
Diabetes feet are supposed to be numb.. losing sensation. Not mine. They are overly sensitive, doc and nurse couldn't believe.

Cindy, you're too funny!!!!

Thanks for the heads up on CPAP. Pegi, guess God knows what to do with me ;)

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

WOW...are any of you watching the news!!!! A six year old in an big helium balloon in Colorado and they don't know how to get him down!!!! You should go look! Scary situation!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes Trisha, Kel and I were commenting yesterday those storm chasers are a different breed of people.
Hope the boy did not fall out of the balloon as some had suggested.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I don't watch the news except for weather reports. So my TV is on GAC where I listen to country music all day long. I love Martina McBride's song "I Just Call You Mine". I told Steve everytime I hear it, it reminds me of us ^_^.

Dave?????? Haven't heard much from him. He sent me an email asking me how I bowled Tuesday night and that was all, no mention about our second date. So I think it may be a "not gonna happen thingie" :(. Oh well.
