Morning Ladies,

Stacey the most important thing you need to remember..........is to take care of YOU first. To heck with other people. I used to worry about what other people thought about me. That is why I always hid my hearing aid with certain hairstyles. Now i don't give a rat's
a%$ what people think of me. If they don't like me for who i really am then that's there problem. I have been thinking of getting a new tatoo, and really like that one you posted, has me thinking. But I think I would have it done in purple so that I can have my purple butterfly with me all the time.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

One place I like to look at different pics is on photobucket-people post drawing and their tats on there all the time. It's not that I necessarily care what others think of me so much, it's just that I guess I want to make them happy....

Awww-poor Kathy.....would be nice to hear form Auntie Biggles & Jiggles and my Georgia Peach too.....

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well Kiddo, you can't make everyone happy BUT you sure have made a lot of us happy here by coming back and chatting with us ^_^

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

This is my butterfly, on the back of my neck. Tattoo's do make you feel good, and it is hard to explain it but they do! Just a way for you to express yourself I guess?
I got the ideas for my fairies from the artist, boris vallejo

Definitely good to have Stacey back.

Off to a great start this morning....pouring rain and someone prowled through all the neighborhood cars overnight.....same as before nothing missing (no cash or drugs in this neighborhood)...just left the interior light on so the battery was dead...of course as soon as we get all of this dealt with and the car jumped, the rain stopped. At least the day can only get better........

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

My tatoo is 29 years old all faded. I need to get it redone and add some color to it. I've been looking at some on tatoofinder.com. My problem is finding someone I can trust.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well, I've got some lily tree bulbs i need to plant and a drainage ditch to get dug while the dirt is soft from the recent rains. TTYL ^_^

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

It's been raining a ton here too-it seems like every day or every other day at least.

LK-love the fairy!! The butter is pretty too.

Cindy-maybe if I haven't gotten one by next year on my Bday, I will ask for a GC for my Bday-that would be a great pressie-not sure if my mom would chip in or not sice she doesn't get it at all....

For Sun I plan to spend most of my day in bed reading and watching chick flicks and hopefully gorging myself on DQ ice cream cake-tee hee hee

OOO-I love these!!!!

Beautiful butterflies! Hard to decide, but will get you thinking about what you want!

melody posted this on another thread, about finding boxes, and free bubble wrap. Thanks melody!
You can get sheets of free bubble wrap and nice boxes at any collision shop, or car dealership with a service dept. (GM has really nice boxes) Car bumpers, hoods headlights and sheet metal all come wrapped in bubble wrap and they just throw it away. Headlight boxes are a good size, or fog light boxes for something small. They might give you funny looks for the first few times, but now my parts guys know exactly what I want and put it back for me. These bubble wrap sheets can be 3 or 4 feet across.

Stacy - are you sure we aren't missing sisters? I can see it now....... separated at birth.... knowing the other one was there, and Suddenly Today - we find each other on DG!!!

My hubby JUST watches TV, and I get away to another room LOL Our den is my computer room, sewing room, anything BUT TV room LOL
Yes, of course I watch chick flicks and shows, but he's in touch with his feminine side, and will sometimes watch chick flicks too (initiate them, in fact!) lol

But really, we can't be totally like our spouses - it's our differences that make us truly loveable..... I sure wouldn't marry myself ewwwwwwwww we'd always be fighting LOL
Mind you...... I'd know what I was thinking and there'd be no more of that "men are from mars, women from venus" schtick! roflmfbo

~Susan~

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

OH I love that first one. Dang it is warm out!! I had to come in and put a tank top and sweat band on. 80 something today. Tomorrow i am bowling in a travel match club, Sunday I have no clue. Thinking I might ask Steve to come up if he doesn't have any plans. I gave up on Dave pppffffff!!!!!!! Ok going back outside.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Cindy-I knew you'd love the first one-it's my fave too:) It would look stellar with a thin black outline and dark purple inside!!

Susan-why do you say that?? My depressing diatribe or the pics??

I can't believe I;m going to be 33 on Sunday-man am I getting old-I;m sure I;ll start to see mold growing out of my ears any day now;)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

well ears are better than your navel!!! LOL Poor baby

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Susan and Stacey we must be related. DH is a TV person too. Sports, golf, dumb angsty movies you name it. I can't stand the noise so I defect to other parts of the house as well. I would much rather read a book or work on something productive then vegetate in front of the tube. So glad you are back Stacey!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, you are just a baby, compared to most of us here. We have several years on you! I have 21 years on you.
Hope you all have a great week-end! For those of you up north, stay warm! It is not too bad here, it is 84, not as warm as yesterday.
Stacey, hope you have a great Birthday, and enjoy the cake and ice cream! have a scoop for me?
Hugs to all!
LK

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LK-It's a DQ ice cream cake-which means there isn't any cake-have you never had one?? THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

Juanita-then he gets pi*&ed when I don't watch TV with him saying that I don't spend any quality time with him and that I am withdrawing. I say to that-what the heck-watching TV together is not quality time unless we are playing strip TV trivia or something-LOL

It's sad when I spend more quality time with his brother and my sorta nephew (BIL wife's son from 1st marriage). With them there isn't usually TV involved unless it's the Wii-which I LOVE and so want one one of these days....

Raleigh, NC

oh oh oh!!! STACY!! I finally got on here and started reading - FINALLLY - and here's Stacy! hey, girl, how ya doing? how's our fairy girl? what happened with those wonderful fairy fabrics you had?

oh blast. out of onions, and I've already got the stew on cooking. back later.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

still have the fabrics sitting in my fabric bin. Haven't done anything with them yet.

Hey Bonnie-hows it going with you my??

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Yeah Stacey I've got the "you're off in your own little world all the time" comment in the past too. It seems to be one of those phases that men go through. Fortunately my DH has grown out of it and understands that if I am off doing my own thing it isn't a reflection on him. We really have very little in common and sometimes it is just hard to get on the same page with the little stuff. We do OK with the big deals that come along, but the little stuff is a killer.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I'm with you. DH and I don't have a ton in common. While we do have some things, he hates to read and really hasn't even read the things I have written....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone!!!
Ooopss... sorry.. moon's out right?
Good evening everyone!!!

Lord, I was all stressed out yesterday, and I slept all day long! Woke up a couple of times to use the bathroom and greet Kel who *bless his heart* left me alone to my snores!!

Read a bit.. digest some.. yes, Maid M's right. Kathy's hosting a birdfeeder swap and tries to keep up when she can. Deborah is still smoke free and now BJ does a Stacey!!

Maybe Dave likes to call the shots, Cindy? Just stick to one who truly appreciates you.

Now all these convo about tv watching with hubby. Guess I'm lucky. Kel and I both love the same shows. Amazing Race, all the CSIs, Law & Order, all the cooking competitions, Project Run-a-way, British comedies and football---------and even Bridezilla!

Awww Stacey... I totally understand about having no support, when it comes to your passion. My ex was like that..

Law & Order is on..... hungry now!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Stacy.......... not sure what you mean about your depressing diatribe (yes, I know the word.........).. ok, maybe you don't know me that well..
Anyway - Happy Birthday, Stacy!

Time for me to eat - I's hongry too!! Came home from work 1 hour ago, and haven't eaten - it's 7:30pm lol

~Susan~

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hehehehee...don't forget we have 'supportive' diatribes here too! No chance of a soliloquy (sp) or 'interior' monologues as we gabby sistahs love to post our opinions!! That's why I love you all! One can never be misunderstood or feel alone here.

So Stacey, you're celebrating your b'day earlier? Why not!
Eat extra slices of DQ ice cream cake for Kel and me.

Been feeling kinda stuffy and I heard from an old church lady to apply Vicks on the soles of your feet and cover them with socks. Trying that now, hope that works. Don't want another cold.
Got two rescues sneezing away and I rub a little on their little chests.

Oh boy, all these sleep I had, and I'm still sleepy...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Nope-I don't get the cake til Sunday...can't wait though..

Susan-I was just wondering what we had in common since I don't know you & my only posts were internal crapola or links to pics;)...not meant to be weird, just wonderin.....

Diatribe was the only word I thought that fit all my BS....and I have the interior monologues all the time-LOL

Tante-we like most of the same shows, but on his days off it's like I should apply for jobs and then park my behind on the couch and watch other crap that isn't our normal shows all day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is on!

Stacey, I have never had one of the ice cream cakes, but they sound good!

53 here this morning.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning ladies!
Happy pre- Birthday Niece!
Thanks for the coffee LK. My first in days. It's feeling that cold here too, but I think temps are supposed to go up to the 70's.
I got brugs blooming indoors :( Not about to drag them out and I think I'll start cutting the ones outside next week.

Today we're supposed to start mulching and am not able to find any shredded pine. Guess we'll use the mini nuggets.

Maid M.., I agree with you. Getting older doesn't mean your mind remains stagnant, or just be contented with what we've experienced. When do we stop living? When those nails are hammered into our coffins!

Donna, if you're lurking, bet your mum's visit is the highlight of your week. Hope work went well for you too.

Darn Merlin and Dallas knocked over something big.... they're teenagers now and it's that time to go for that snip-snip!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Awww...my sweet little niece has finally come home. We have missed you so much little one!

I have underwear older than Stacey, that's why she's a niece and not a sistah!!

Glad you finally feel up to joining us again. Hope you're still planning on coming down in June.

Speaking of which, Cindy, we are midway between the Dayton airport and the Cinci airport, so where ever you could get the best fare would be the airport to choose!!

They are talking about a hard freeze here for Sunday night. Sigh....I guess I won't get to see that brug bloom after all. Should I take my cuttings before the freeze? Well, that's probably a pretty stupid question, of course I should, or they'll be mush!

Off this weekend to a wedding for my great nephew. It was supposed to be outside (at 5:30) but they said if the weather didn't cooperate it would be moved inside....surely hope they moved it in! My folks for sure don't need to be sitting outside in these temps!

Stacey, I'm still jobless, too. Selling caramels and cashew brittle for a little spending money. Just can't take any of my unemployment cause it has to go for mortgage payments, etc.

Okay, need to go pack and get myself ready to go....have a great weekend all!

Tante Cookie

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

49* and loving it!!!!! Off to Valdosta to pick up Kim's car and a visit to a Hobby Lobby. Later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, what was wrong with the car?

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

48* here right now, and we have a freeze watch out till Sun. This weather is killing me! My hips hurt so bad I can hardly walk, but I know if I don't, I'll freeze up!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

How about cortizone shots, Audrey?

To add to my disappointment, Thursday.... doctor suggested that I cut back on my gardening. And you all know, I'm physically limited on that.
Besides heart issues, hypertension, diabetes... I also have nerve damage issues, affecting my feet badly which have terrible fungus problems too (stemming from working in a bleach/dye house).
My feet can't stay too long in wet situations. Doesn't matter what I wear to protect them, he said to avoid those conditions totally.
Looks like most of my 'allowance' will be doled out to a part time gardener :( and have Kel water my complex garden.
Guess if I want to save my feet, I have to sacrifice this passion.

On a cheery note....at least, I can still sew or have the foot pedal converted into a knee one.

Thanking the Lord for the things I CAN do.

Off for that obligatory Saturday shopping. Have a fantastic day.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

P.S.
Tante Cookie, I hope you're still not wearing that underwear? Let me know if you need help in getting new ones!!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL Jaye....okay, think I can handle that one... ;o)

Sorry you're having all these health issues. Sucks to get old...the alternative isn't so hot though!

Speaking of sewing. I just found out an old girlfriend of mine opened a quilt shop! She has online shopping and I'd love it if you all would check it out. She says if you compare her prices with other online prices, you'll be pleasantly surprised, and she says once she has your email address, she sends specials that way and NEVER, NEVER sells your email addy. Her name is Mary Racer Ota, and she lived next door to me about 20 years ago. She lives in Missouri now. Here's her link.

http://www.intheniche.com/index_files/Page289.htm

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL
Jaye, sorry to hear about your feet giving you problems, but it is not the end of the world if you have to stop gardening. Kel can help, and if you get a part time helper, you can still have your brugs and other favorite plants. So wish we could be closer to help you out.
Take care, and don't shop too much!
LK

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Joyce I could not find anything to click on the website.
No store, no email?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

http://www.shop.intheniche.com/

I found it.
Nice shop, I have added it to my favorites.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Jaye, giving up gardening too, what a bummer. My back and hips tell me not to stay out in the dirt too long, so I take many rests. Can't seem to get much done that way. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and not diabetic. How I understand it, from reading on the Internet, that the peripheral nerves get damaged somehow, or even not enough vitamins, etc. Nerves outside the spinal cord. When I told my doctor I thought I had that he just gave me that 'look'. He finally agreed that I had it after a few years. This is why there should be a parts store for our bodies. ^_^ I don't have anyone to take over gardening for me. DH has killed 3 avocado trees by overwatering and then neglect. You should see all the blood oranges on his tree though (all are still green). Of course I give it water most of the time. When it comes to prunning he gets carried away so I never mention that to him.

Going to be another very hot day here. Not too thrilled with the shift in weather.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I would certainly hope Auntie Cookie wasn't still wearing those groody old panties-ewww-can just imagine the elastic stretched so far that they won't even stay on the hips.

I have to fight with my pants on a daily basis-would have to have to pull up the undies all the time too. My jeans are from Lane Bryant and have that little stretchy in them. Since my big ole booty is flat, after I have them on for about 20mins, I have to constantly pull them up in the back....at least if I have to be 'plump' it be nice to have a cute little bubble butt instead of the large flat thing that graces the mirror every time I turn my back....oh well.

OMG LK-those cakes are the best. The local DQ qill even make what they call 'cupcakes' if you ask. It is chocolate ice cream, topped with fudge that doesn't freeze, chocolate cookie crumbs and then vanilla ice cream. There is usually some design on top made of whip cream too-YUMMMMM.

Tante-sorry to hear about that, but at least you can still enjoy your gardens even if you can't get out and tend them. You need to take care of yourself so you can come in June:) I expect to see all my favorite Aunties there:)

I am such a tard-forgot how to do the smiley-who can help me out with that??

So, I got the cutest ecard from MIL-I posted the link-not sure if it'll work, but wanted to share it.

http://www.americangreetings.com/ecards/view.pd?i=496492434&m=3987&rr=y&source=ag999

So, DH is PO'd at me. He went out yesterday and said he had some errands to run. I had reminded him on Thur since Fri was his day off and he would be working until like 9 tonight and working from noon til 11 tomorrow (and he won't get up til about an hour B4 work 2morrow), that yest would be his last chance to get my card and cake for my Bday. He went out and came home all excited with his purchases w/ his Bday $$. Being that he has forgotten to get me stuff for my Bday, Xmas, and other holidays more often than not in the past (always has good intentions of going at the last minute, then either forgets or runs out of time) I went and checked the freezer outside to see if he got my darn cake. He did and I was happy. Well, after several beers last night I apparently "ruin everything and make it not even worth his while to do things"....

Oh well, I'll be by myself all day 2morrow watching chick flicks, so whatever.....

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Waving Hello to everyone! I have missed you all so much this week.. and I see that Miss Stacey is back .. Huggs to you my sistah glad to see you back online!

I just got the call and moms plane landed back in Florida safely about 15 minutes ago. It was so nice to have her here wit us for the week and the kids (especially Tristen) was sad to see her go home..

We ran all week until yesterday when the weather turned cold and rainy which really efected her bad leg and made her a bit grouchy.. Poor Max was here all day with her while I worked and he was stressed by the time I got home.. She was watching the nieghbors and all the people going in and ut, complainin about the weather, didnt like the kids playing the gameboys all day, ect ect but he did take it in stride and just kept smiling until I got home.. He even made fresh apple bread for me to take to work hot out of the oven t lunch and she growled saying he made a mess even though he cleaned it up.. I think she was ready to go home..

We didnt make it to the fair with the weather and Tristen not feeling well but we did get to do a bit of running. Went to laurellville for fresh apples and cider, went hiking through old mans cave, visited with my fav uncle for a day and drove for one day just taking in the sites and fall foilage.. My mom insisted on gettng me new jeans and a new coat along with a few things for the kids that they needed. Mostly just enjoying the time together..

My uncle gave me a sewing machine but i dont know if I can find parts for it because its an old machine ( White - Brand ) and one of the lil rubber pieces that makes the main part spin is so old its crumbled.. But its a start and hopefully I will locate a place to get a replacement for it..

So Monday is back to the work and regular schedule of our crazy lives.. Need to find a cheap heater for the basement (our bedroom) as its freezin cold own here.. brrrr about 65 right now and at night it sure gets cold.. I guess its a good thing Max is like a space heater for me to cuddle with under all my blankets..

Sorry for rambling.. I did readand try to catch up bt I lost track of what I read.. lol Will post pics soon but my pc just got fixed so drivers are not updated yet! Ugghhh

Huggs to you all
Donna

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Donna, glad to see you posting.

Stacey, to make the smiley face, hold the shift key down, and hit 6-6. No space, and it will looks like this.
