good for you, just think next Summer, you will have a nice sized list of your own, being a member of BGI you can get Brug seeds & pollen from the seed back, I didn't know if you knew that or not
Elizabeth
Oh, I can't wait!!!!!! It will really start chillin down this next month.
My DH working on his truck, hope he gets it fixed so I can have
my car back. Poor Darlin.
I am going to join it too. Just got to co
me up with the money. Are you all in the
first or the second one? I was looking at
some of the brugs on there last night.
Of coarse, I love them all.
No, I didn't know that Elizabeth. Thanks, for telling me.What's wrong with your hubby's truck, Charleen? Don't ya just hate it when ya have vehicle trouble?
I'm trying, Elizabeth...for the big list, for next year..lol I just think they are such a beautiful flower. I want them everywhere..

Charleen, I am just a basic member, for now.
Dee
Th water pump went out and he is redoing it himself. His brother came over last night and took it aprt. We got parts this morning and he is putting it back together now.
i just stay out of his way. He will get it.
Now tell me , did you all get in the $10. or the $20 dollar membership????
There is someone down here that has brugs, I just got to find them.
Do you all think we are addicted to these plants, or what???? ^_^
I guess that may be best.
Walk before you run>
There's the gardenweb, too Charleen. They have a pretty active brug forum, but Dave's is my favorite!
Dee
Charlene
BGI membership is $10.00 a year, my membership dues are due next month, I will be paying for 2 years, I am paid up here for 1 year, so see you get to see me till next October, then probably for another year after that, anyway the members over there are just as friendly as they are here, I love both places
I do hope they get that truck fixed soon, you need your car
Elizabeth
I think he just about has it. I hope.
I am paid up here til next March. Then
it will be due again. I like it here very much.
I would not have met you all, if I hadn't.
Would not even have known I had such a
fabulous plant.
Charlene
Ditto
I am glad I met you & Dee also
Elizabeth
Charlene & Dee
now I have only 18 Brugs to dig up, yipee, yipee, getting there, I should be done by Tuesday
Elizabeth
YOU GO GIRL!!!!! You are doing great. Don't have but
three more days. Then what you going to do to keep busy?
You know we got to keep busy to stay out of trouble. ^_^
Charlene
that's when the real work begins, taking off clippings leaves, spraying them down, so I don't take any bugs in with the Brugs, putting labels on them, can't leave anything to memory, by Monday evening I should be done digging them up
I just want a couple Pic's before it's completely bare outside, but hey I got the greenroom in the basement clean last night, did you want a small catcus of the one I took a pic of beside P&C?, I have about 3 small ones, I have to take a Pic of the hypertuffa pot, that I made it has a mini catus & succulant garden in it
when I get everything done I will send you a box, & I will include the instructions for making the hypertuffa, I can't wait to see what you make, that will give you something to do this winter
Elizabeth
oH, IT SOUNDS LIKE i AM GOING TO BE BUSY. THANK yOU eLIZABETH. I know
i am going to love it. I got my fingers on the wrong keys again. I sure don't want to start over.
I got my(Varigated) Canna planted in front of my(Green) Canna. It should look pretty next year.
Also planted a Princess plant. It has a purple bloom on it. My flower garden is different colors, not all the
same. I like them mixed up. it is so pretty now. It should be prettier next year. Especially after I plant
the Brugs. I'll have to get another pic for you and Dee.
Charleen
I bet I didn't put enough concrete in mine. It crumbled and fell apart.
I will be making another. I love playing in the concrete. Have to make
me wear gloves. I never did like to wear gloves. When I was little My Mom would
run an elastic thru my coatsleeves and pin my gloves to it cause I was always losing my gloves.
Bless her heart, I just did not like gloves.
Elizabeth, that bloom is Phanomenal. It is beautiful.
The skirt would not have to drop, I like it like it is.
It looks like a big fat Rose, one of those Austin Roses.
I love it.
Hi Girls, Sounds like you both had a busy day, but got lots accomplished. Me too...mowed a bunch of leaves, and got them pitched around the fence. We have a huge old maple in the back yard, that keeps us busy this time of year. If we aren't blowing leaves, we're cleaning the gutters...we really need gutter guards, back there.
I love your hypertuffa pot Elizabeth! I have been wanting to try it , but just haven't gotten around to it..
Phanomenal is beautiful. I does look like a rose, Charleen!
Dee
Charlene
I am the same way about gloves, but I did start to wear them this year, my hands look better, when you get this recipe
you'll like what you make, I made a bigger one that I leave out all year, it has Prickly pear catcus in it, do you have the prickly pear, I have them planted everywhere this year it bloomed, it's yellow with red in the bloom, they can stay in the ground year round, you're right that Bloom does remind you of a rose, BTW my belinda's dream rose is about too Bloom
Elizabeth
Elizabeth, will you send me the recipe too? I wanta be an arteest, too..lol
Dee
Hi Dee
it's good to see you, I was wondering where you were, well you're here now, I am glad you like my flower pot & the Brug
that's one of them I have been waiting on too Bloom, now I am down to 17 tommorrow, I will dig about 10 more, if it don't rain, if it does I will dig with an umbrella over me, the air seems too be so much cooler right now, oh wait till you see rosalla, it has really gotten dark pink, I will take a Pic in a few minutes
Elizabeth
I can hardly wait to see her.Isn't it wonderful that they bloom right up to freezing, in our climate?
Dee
Dee
of course you know I will just have too make 2 copies, you should see the lady's garden that gave the classes, she has 3/4 acre, all in flower beds, not a weed in her garden, she also has a full time job she does Xrays, I can just see her out there in her garden with one of those head lights at midnight, pulling weeds
Elizabeth
Dee
for some reason, she don't look as dark pink as she really is, I will bring her in & not use the flash to see if it sees what I see
Elizabeth
I don't know how some people keep every weed out of their beds, but I sure do envy them.I use preen in most of my beds, but the cottage garden bed that I put in ou tback last year.I didn't use preen there, because there are so many self-sowers..poppies, larkspur, blackeyed susans etc.But the weeds in that bed drive me nuts...lol I just can't keep up with them.
Dee
Elizabeth, she must be a perfectionist> Hey, Dee. been missing you.
Elizabeth that brug is beautiful too. I don' think there is such a thing,
as an ugly Brug, is there? We are supposed to get frost sometime this month from what
I read. So it is coming and I sure don't want it.But got to do what we can. Mulch, then Mulch
some more.
Charleen
Eizabeth, she is still beautiful. I think the pinks are going to be my favorite, followed by peach, white, and yellow last.I am not really a yellow flower lover, but I know that there are some pretty yellow brugs out there.I agree with Charleen...there's no such thing as an ugly brug!
Dee
Oh my...she looks almost coral!..sooooo pretty!
Dee
Dee
I agree with both of you, there's no ugly Brug, but there are some stubborn one's, Culebra, just sit there all summer
maybe growing about 3 inches, the way it's going I might get to see it Bloom in about 5 years, but the foilage is interesting, it doesn't look like a Brug at all
Elizabeth
Dee
Thanks I am glad you like her, she is sitting her on my coffee table, I still have to get just the right Pic, dang camera
needs to see what I see
Elizabeth
What does Culebra look like? You know Dee and I want to see now after you said
she doesn't "Look like a Brug, at all"
Beautiful.
Camera's are like that sometime....
Charlene
I have Culebra, out in the Greenhouse, I will get you a Pic of it tommorrow, so now you have something to look forward
to, you & Dee both, it will be woth the wait, promise, also I will take a Pic of the whole catcus that you ask about
Elizabeth
Yeah, I was gonna bid on that one on e-bay, but I think I need to start with the easier ones. I have a couple cuttings right now that are just sitting there looking like sticks, and it about to breaks my heart..lol.I keep thinking, I really wanted this one to make it, but I would be thinking that, no matter which one it was...lol...Dee
Maybe Culebra will just jump, after her winter rest! Keeping my fingers crossed for ya
