Dee
the Pic in the other thread, is Rosalla, Harlot has buds on her again, Monday it suppose to be low of 36 sooo this week end I will be digging all of them up, but it still should Bloom, when I first dig them up I put them in a bucket of water, then a couple days later I pot them up, it seems to help to not shock them sooo bad, yes you can a cutting of Harlot
Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Hey Karen
Good morning, the Apricot Moon flower is just as huge, I will take a Pic of it so you can see it, I have allready dug it up
Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Dee
I still have 20 in the ground, but this week end I will have them all dug up, then I will have the desert theme, but it will give me a chance to amend the soil for next spring
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

LOL, Elizabeth, I really wasn't hinting, BUT....lol... you know I'm just too weak to turn a brug down, especially, when it's calling my name..hehe Thanks, so much..you are such a giving person.Bless your heart.
Did you just take the pic of P&C this AM...you still do have some bruisers to wrestle in, don't ya? I guess it's not raining there today?? It is here. Thanks, for the info on soaking them , before potting them up.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
it's not raining yet, so I ran out really quick to take Pic's did you see my kitty under the Miss B havin, where ever I am she wants to be, she likes to eat crickets, the Brugs really isn't too bad to dig up, I have one of those long shovels
I put it in the ground then I step on it, pops them right out of the ground
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Boy, I am. Can't wait to see my box when it arrives. Elizabeth, what is that cactus(?) you have up there with the P&C, which ,by the way is gorgeous.
I got your list. Thanks
When You soak them, you go ahead and let them bloom? then strip the leaves off? I'm going to bring my Pumpkin in and put her in the garden tub.
She is still in pot I got her in so there shouldn't be any shock. Wish I was up there, cause I sure would help you, that is a lot of hard work, I still have to
rework the area I took the cannas out of. I am going to plant a brug in there too, next spring.

Hamilton, OH

Dee
this is the castor bean, I promised to take a Pic of, is it the same as yours

Miss b haven, Elizabeth, I noticed all of them
didn't have the double skirts, is that normal?
It is pretty.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Elizabeth, please don't let your kitty eat any of the seeds from that plant. It will have
deadly effects on her. You know how nosey they are.

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
it takes awhile to get them ready for the basement, sooo if they have buds on them, I let them Bloom, then cut, that way I can get one last Pic before they go to the basement, oh I have an enclosed back porch I can put them in a hurry, if it starts getting cold in a hurry, I wish you were here you would have to have a truck, the Brugs are soo much bigger when you dig them up, I don't know why they look so much smaller in the ground
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I would like it , jut for the joy of helping.
It is deceiving, isn't it?

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
the seed are way up at the top, the biggest one is 9ft tall, I keep her well fed, she's like a baby she wants fed on demand, I have to get a ladder to havest the seeds, I will do that this week end, I don't like to wait till the last minute to do anything
Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
Miss B havin, it is normal for it to bloom like that, if it Blooms all doubles she is behavin, I think thats why B delph, named her that, B. delph used to have a nursery, that's where I got her, that lady sent the nicest plants, I wish she would start her sales again

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Elizabeth, Seems Like that all (the brugs) behave just the way they want.
That is what's make them so very fasinating, we don't know what
to expect next, and that's the way we like it, isn't it???

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth,September is sooo cute. I have a dog that is like that.. wanting to be with me where ever I go. If I go into a room where she can't get to me she just whines, and if I go outside without her, sometimes she looks out the window and howls. She is a little dog,and her howl is horrible..lol
Those castor beans are HUGE! They get a lot taller than the red ones, but I do like my red ones too.
Charleen, you are a trip..lol..."Boy, I am"...lol I just love talking to you girls. My husband says that I'm on the puter more now, than I have been for the last 10 years, but he likes being able to have the living room tv, to himself...lol Ain't old age grand?
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, is your favorite shovel one of the long skinny ones. I have one like that that I love..It slices right thru the ground..Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

While ago I was waiting for a pic to load, came back to comp. was typing one hand had a broom in my lap.
I want to do it all, I guess. Got most of floor swept, still got to finish it. We are all a mess, I guess. Ilove it.
I never say the kitty cat. I looked. Went for walk in woods, had dogs with me they love it.

Hamilton, OH

Dee
that's the one, I have to get DH to sharpen it, he has a mini grinder, it would only take a minute, he better do it for me
so I don't have to trade him off
Charlene
you're too funny, that's how I did my cleaning, changed my living room around in between post the other night, while I was waiting for my Pic's too upload, I got the dishes down, I think that's called multi tasking that's what we have done all our lives, I keep forgeting to ask you & dee, would you like some purple rose of sharon seeds

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Make it three of us doing the multi tasking thing..lol...Sweep the floor, make a post, run the sweeper, make another post,do the dishes, make a post, put supper on, make a post...clean the burned supper mess, make a post...just kidding, haven't done that yet..
I would love a few of your ROS seeds, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Elizabeth, Elizabeth is Beautiful. Just send what you want.
I got my little baggies at Wal-mart in the Craft-bead department.
Yes, I remember the Monday, so they won't lay over in the post office.

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Yes, Elizabeth is beautiful. What a perfect flower! I was wondering the same thing about shipping on Wednesday. Do you think I should wait til the following Monday?
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
thank you, that was named after Gordo, Liz Fitchl, by JT sessions
Dee
Mondays are always best, esp. when your sending live plants, no later than Wed.
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I might be able to ship this Monday...will let you both know, when I get the boxes in the mail.
What are the temps where you girls are? It's 35 this morning here..brrrr

Elizabeth, Velvet rose is soooo pretty! The cutting that you sent is the fastest growing cutting that I have. I am so proud of her.
Nice looking seedling, but isn't it amazing that a coral/pink and a medium pink can give you white. I think that is whats so great about seedlings...just like babies, ya never know what it's gonna look like til it gets here.
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Dee, the P.O. gonna be closed Monday, Columbus day.
Oh, Elizabeth, that Velvet rose is sooooooo very Beautiful.
Such a delicate pink. Very Female pink. I love it.
tucked some of those Striped cannas in my new flower bed. They are
calling for rain again. We got some yesterday, they sure didn't see that one.
The Temperature here is 68 degreess. Very nice.

Hamilton, OH

Dee
I was hoping that VR did well for you, that one was about 18 inches when I planted it, now it's over 5ft, I am glad you like it
Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
it's good to see you, yes you will get a clipping of VR, I am waiting till I get them all ready to go to the basement, that's when I do clippings, I either give them to someone or pitch them, I would rather them find a good home, Rain, it started yesterday after I took those Pic's & didn't stop till early morning, I didn't get 1 Brug dug up, & now it's chilly out even with the sun out, but I am still going to dig at least 5 today
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Darn, I forgot about the p.o. being on Monday.Oh well, Tuesday maybe. The sun is out here today, and I hope it stays that way. It is warming up fast.It is 53 now.Charleen, when does it cool down for you?If it stays like this(sunny), I think I'll mulch up some leaves with the mower and pitch them all around the outside of the fence, where we will til them in..probably in the early Spring.
Dee
