Looks like there are a whole bunch of us huggers here. Good for us!!!
Waiving Helllloo Sistah's all!
Standing up raising my hand tall(lol, cuz I/m short)
I...I...I am a Hugger, and a Hugeee!
Any time, any place.
I love to look at the photo's!
Fantastic memories, lol was just telling my new sil and had a slide show, you all are well known.
Jaye, Awe, you are so sweet, my weekend was incredible!
First as you know, my brother and his family came down from Wisconsin.
Wow, we had a wonderful visit...Skittles was exhausted by each end of day. I have a new 10 yo nephew, who just loved her to pieces.
Saturday, my brother and the older nephew and Steve went to take down some trees., I visited with Char and Michael...We ordered pizza, that was cool because no oine wanted to cook. Sunday was a day to chillax and visit some more until noon, we had a very good friend drop in and he and my brother were able to catch up on a couple of years.
OK, got to back up, This was also our Homecoming weekend. So Char, the girls and I went to watch Jacob play football. Wooohooo, they cremated the other team. 36 /6. Jacob then had his best friend come hangout until the dance. So around 4:30 the boys began getting ready. OMG, they were quite the theatrical, on getting ready. I drove them to a friends house for photo's, then they were going to dinner, the dance and last to LazerZone.
But,, heheh, Cindy. Guess who had 2 dates?? Yep my boy took not only one girl but 2. Adorable young ladies too.I was taking a picture of him and his gals, one of the dads asked him how he got so lucky. LOL.
They had a blast.
Well, there was some talk about a big argument, such a bummer there was indeed. DD#1 broke up with her bf of just over a year.
She has made the decision a while ago, just needed her time to do it. That was really the only bummer thing to happen.
Which now brings me to today...It is my Babe and my 29th anniversary. It being a "holiday" he took the day off and we have been busier then all get up. While he worked all around the yard, mowing, weedwacking(lol) he loves his weed wacker!! any way, he announces we have compost! and ohhhhh, it is simply DEVINE. I am so excited as are the family. As everyone came home they notice immediatley and is that Our soil, big Happy grins, YES IT IS. How cool is that?! Yippy and Yiayh. We grew Soil!!
Thank You nature.
I sank my hands into it and it just spilled beautifully loose, my gosh, and it was so soft! I have tears, I am so very happy.
He did all that ,and I restacked the last of the fire wood. I was making room for all the new wood, which as I know, needs to cure for a year…I hope we are set for this year.
Tadah, I actually did some work, in the gardens!
Marion, You, sistah are one witty woman... I loved seeing you wrap your arms around our sistahs...
omg, dinner's ready, lol you bet, this late
I'll be back in a bit.
GEEZE i am rude, I' come see what you all have been up to...
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JUDY AND STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Steve knows I'm peeved with him, lol. He is trying to find a vent for the motorhome. Trying to kiss up to me, lol.
Dave offered to give me a massage, after I told him about all my aches and pains. Asked him when I could make the appt. still waiting for his response. He's not home from work yet.
I made a fantastic trade with another DGer. Getting rid of tons of Belldonna Lily bulbs. And getting some dahlias, cannas, glads, caladiums, and daylilies ^_^. I transplanted all of my lilies into the new garden and have it mulched. Next will be glads and dahlias.
I'm very tired so I'm gonna hit the shower and get ready for Dancing with the Stars.
TTYL
Cindy that sounds like spring_luver's plants! LOL
BTW...
Dear Sistah Jaye,
You are never far from my prayers.
...Especially tomorrow, I will have special ones.
Bear will take them for me.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JUDY AND STEVE!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Cindy and Crissy...
Judy, you can't possibly be celebrating 29--you aren't much over 25 year old yourself. Have a wonderful celebration and make every minute count, every day!! Love you.
LOL, yeppers Marion.
Actually right about now, this time I mean, 29 years.
Big smiles, do in heartbeat again.
Big Armwrap to all.
and kiss good night, sleep well.
Happy Anniversay Judy & Steve! ^_^
Jaye - you take care of yourself, and don't worry about tomorrow. It will all be all right - I just feel it in my "bones" ^_^ My thoughts and prayers are with you, always.
Cindy - I keep thinking about you, your love of purple, and butterflys.........
~Susan~
No not from Diane/spring_luver. From APinchofCheer/Threesa I found her by search thru plant files.
LOL, email from Dave......"My calender is always open for massages" . Now to just get that appt. ^_^.
Aw Susan how sweet. I'm hoping to have a purple butterfly garden next spring, lol.
Happy Anniversary Stevie and Judy!! Giant armwraps and wishing you both 100 more!! Lol Marion, you're right.. Judy certainly doesn't look married that long.. yep, she can pass for 29 herself ;)
Thank your for your prayers, sistah!
Way to go Jacob! You're the MAN!
Huggggggggggs Juanita!!
We must all be heavy weight huggers!!! And I can tell you too, that I'm a toucher!
Cindy, your mum must be anxious to see how the garden will look like next year with the work you put into it.
We are yet to mulch the garden.... will need at least 60 bags and I can hear Kel groaning thinking about it. Will have to hire someone to help.
Crissy, have you decided on the sconces yet?
Now Susan, my appointment isn't till Thursday. Do you have pumpkin pie for dessert? That's the traditional dessert for our Thanksgiving.
Or is it some delicious tarts?
I do appreciate all my sistahs' prayers, and my diabetes management has been appalling lately.
No one to blame but myself :(
Good night sistahs!
We had pumpkin pie, of course - with whipped cream (don't suppose you eat that, eh?)
Ok, I missed that it was Thursday for your app't........ I'll still keep you in my thoughts & prayers, dear sister........
I'll take the non fat sugar free whip cream minus the pie...
Good night dear sister!
o my......... IS there such a thing? hmmmmmmmmm lol
g'night, Jaye ^_^
Actually, it's 1 percent fat, but sugar free. Made bu Coolwhip.. eating some right now, thanks to you!!
Hope I can sleep after this!
hahahaha Jaye
Good Morning, all
I hope everyone is enjoying the Coffee & Danishes I put out.......... also included low fat muffins, and "guilt-free" butter (whatever brand you wish.....).
I sincerely hope your day is all you wish, and more.
~Susan~
Morning everyone! Coffee is on! Happy anniversarry to Stevie and Judy! Hope you have many more years together.
Cindy, sounds like you hit the jackpot with all those plant trades. Way to go. Now you are going to b e so busy getting those in the ground. Don't over do it please?
And talking of over doing it! Judy, you make me tired just reading all you have done! Slow down a bit. LOL But it sounds like you had a great visit and going to the game.
Ladies I will check in later, gonna catch up on all the other threads.
Morning Ladies,
We are having very bad weather right now. Raining and wind blowing. Jaye you are right about my mom being anxious for next spring. She has been out there with me working for a little while. She loves her little electric chain saw and has been sawing on the apple tree. I dug down deep around the roots so that we can take the stump out. She has been cutting all the roots out. I still have lots of daffodil bubls to get in the ground yet. Mom told me yesterday "Take a layer of dirt off then just toss all those in there" I told her "Easier said than done, that is what I just did with all the lilies" then I sifted all the dirt to get all the big rocks out. What a job!!! Jaye, we get our mulch from some friends that have a tree service. It is a God send, I love it!!! I'm getting low so I need to talk to them tonight and see if they have anymore.
I I I I'm a hugger, too! So is my Sweetie, at least with me!
I don't know the measurements of my new cutting mat, but I think it'll cover my table! If I ever get it cleaned off, lol, I might just put it on and leave it, with a tablecloth over it!
ok - someone's DH is 6'5".... and how tall are you?
Glad to see so many huggers. I got one from my DH this am - for some reason I really needed one......
~Susan~
I believe Jaye's hubby Kel is 6'5". My late hubby was 6'3" and I'm 5'3". I love tall men. I would love to be able to get my hands on Trace Adkins ^_^ he's tall, has long hair, deep sexy voice, and a body I would love to kiss hee, hee. Steve is only 5'9",long hair and a pot belly, lol. Now Dave um, um, he is 5'11", well toned ( he works out), don't like his hair though he has Marine cut, cute dimples when he smiles.
Big group hug!!! ((((((((HHHHUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS)))))))
LOL Jaye I haven't found any sconces yet, just too busy to think about it at the moment. I really need Dave to go with me but I don't think that's going to happen with his work schedule and all.
I'm 5'9", Dave is 5'8"
I'm in a better mood today, did I mention yesterday that the heat was out on our floor only and Ms. Cheerful's DH was 'filling the boiler'? Well guess what, there's still no heat and now the story is, it's broke, but just on our floor, how does that work???
Now I'm just ranting lol!
Pouring rain all day and I have to go to PetSmart at lunch, we are all so sick of this rain and I hope it stops before it gets colder or we're going to get some major ice.
o my....... 6'5" Kel!!
There's a woman at our bowling league that's at least 6'5" She towers over Bob's 6'3" hahaha
I have two girlfriends, one is 6'0" and the other is 6'1"
Youch!!
They're not sisters, they barely know each other.
That's funny!
If I stood near the 3 of you, I'd be like a mushroom among the redwoods!!! LOL
We got some much needed rain last night, but really not enough to make all the plants happy. Going to be a chilly day, but fine with me. I usually can tell if we will get some rain as my legs ache. My sweet peas are starting to come up so better get busy and finish up the bed for them.
Hi, I'm here.
Chat away ladies. Brain not functioning and having the shakes.
Love you all!
If you go to Facebook you can see pix of Chris/clancampbell new grandbaby

Cindy!!! Where did she go?
Did the smell scares you off? Sorry.. I had to use it.. stomach's turned sour on me :(
It's either my mind or DG playing games on me.
Can't access FB now, but later I will.
Can't do coffee today, LK. Was up till 3 in the morning, waiting to hear Minoux's meow at the door :( Then woke up with this malady. But, I did finish the first tote yesterday, on to the second.
You're right Cindy, easier said then done! Someone told me once, to just scatter the bulbs and plant them where they fell. Sure... don't ask hubby to do it for you.. stronger arm.. wider and further scatter!!!
Saw Trace Adkins in concert.. man, that man can shake his booty.
BTW, Kel is 6' 3" and we sure look like Mutt and Jeff!
Pegi, you'll have the most beautimous sweet pea vine in your neighbourhood, or in fact, in this neighbourhood ^_^
Rule of cutting mats... leave them flat, Audrey.
Crissy, I hate to say this.. but I have a feeling that Miss Cheerful wanted that floor to stay cool, right? In that case, there need to be a mutiny of the office.. a collaboration of sneezes and shivers...
Susan, may today be a peaceful day at the office ;)
Oooh Catfish Tuesday and I can't do it tonight :( Not like there's nothing else to eat. But have to be nice to this stomach.
Well I have made my annual visit to the "compression" chamber and did some shopping while on that side of town. Our high so far is 74 lovely, cloudy, breezy degrees. Loving every second of today's weather.
Jaye, so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I am absolutely positive some of us need to live closer to keep you well!! LOL Our great stories, laughter and companionship is what you need dear one. I know Kel takes wonderful care of you but you need some sistahs near by.
I need to go work on my tote--almost done but need to do some final touches.
Later.
Jaye - I think a heating pad is in order......... and digestive biscuits!
Warm, not hot or cold, water is good for you, too. Hot or cold is too jarring on the system....
Take care of yourself, hon
~Susan~
There is a mutiny, but even she's sneezing and wearing coats, I just don't get it. Also it could be a bully game...
Oh Jaye, I'll do it for you! I hate that you've been sick so much lately!
There is also a pic of Chris and the baby on the "Knock knock....mixed seed nuts" thread...
Cold and windy here....
I thought this was very appropriate for here!
THIS IS LOVELY....
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea & visiting with her mother.
As they talked about life, marriage, the responsibilities of life & the obligations of adulthood,
the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully & turned a clear, sober glance upon her
daughter. 'Don't forget your sisters,' she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass.
'They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter
how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need sisters. Remember to go
places with them now & then; do things with them.
'Remember that 'sisters' means ALL the women...your girlfriends, your daughters & all your other women relatives too. 'You'll need other women, women always do.
' What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married?
Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband & the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!' But she listened to her mother. She kept contact with her sisters & made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by-one after another-she gradually came to understand that her mother really knew what she was talking about. As time & nature work their changes & their mysteries upon a woman, sisters are the mainstays of her life.
After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned: THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come & go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break......
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT...............
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley & you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf & waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules & walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family: all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women & neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful. I just did.
Short & s
ARGH - have had a great day (compared to past six days) but now have a headache from the dust *yup, cleaning house* so AGAIN I'm not reading here....
just checking in while waiting for dinner, have my part of dinner in heating in steamer, beef and beans. Family is adding their parts of the fixing, garlic mashed potatos mix and gravy mix, toast. making open faced sandwiches, something we just started making and they now want it every week! LOL.
ah me. headache has the better of me. keep on a'chattin', sisters. catch y'all later.
