Yah Sis.. I was thinking of gumbo for tomorrow :0)
Roux's cooked and stored. All I got to do is get some sausage (no andouille here), boil some eggs and maybe get a duck.
Better if I could find a guinea!

Happy Birthday Juanita!
LK those hooks, or whatever they are, look very interesting. I surely would hold on to them. I hope someone can find out what they are.
Nice cool day to work outside, but lower back decided different. Guess I'll take a pain pill, have to get those weeds out. I think the ones I pulled out grew back overnight. What I need is a rotortiler and a good strong man to run it.
ain't got no more guinnea. do you want me to send you andouille?
What is andouille??
it is cajun sausage, and delicious
Aw shoot Pegi, if I lived closer I would come and rototiller for you. I have 2 a medium size one and my Mantis that needs to go in the shop. I love playing with those things. And I don't need a man to do it for me ^_^
If you all turn on your tv's there is a live car chase going on over by dallas Texas. They guy in the truck went to a gas station, filled up his truck and took off with out paying, and the cops have been chasing him for more than an hour now. It is getting pretty close to BJ's place. Say your prayers that they get him stopped before anyone is hurt!
It is on fox news here.
Well, the chase is now over, they knocked him off the road, into a grassy wet area!
Thanks for the offer Cindy, wish you lived closer too. It would make my work so much easier. Just getting ready to go out and tackle some more weeds. I have to get those sweet peas in right now so I better talk myself into some work.
Are your sweet peas from seed? How long do they take to grow?
Yes, sweet peas from seed. I soaked them overnight as the package stated.. I discovered that you plant them here around the 15th of Sept., I'm a little late but that is OK. I don't know how long they take to grow. But, they should be up and blooming by spring. They seem to like the cooler weather. The blooms last a long time too which I love. I tried planting them on Good Friday which we did when we lived in Minnesota, but that doesn't work out here. Had a friend tell me when to plant them and it worked out fine. I need to condition my soil too, we have clay soil, some just as hard as a brick.
Thanks Sis, but I think those Hillshire Farm polish sausage will do ;)
Take care of your back Pegi. Those sweet peas can always wait.
LK, I was watching that on CNN. He was heading towards Houston. A gas drive off, and now he got to spend more time in prison.
I've been and still fighting with clay soil here!!!
hey go here and look at my alien thing

Four Catholic men and a Catholic woman were having coffee.
The first Catholic man tells his friends, "My son is a priest, when he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father'."
The second Catholic man chirps, "My son is a Bishop. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Grace'."
The third Catholic gent says, "My son is a Cardinal. When he enters a room everyone says 'Your Eminence'."
The fourth Catholic man then says, "My son is the Pope. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Holiness'."
Since the lone Catholic woman was sipping her coffee in silence, the four men give her a subtle, "Well....?"
She proudly replies, "I have a daughter, slim, tall, 38D breast, 24" stomach, and 34" hips. When she walks into a room, people say, "Oh My God."
good one sis
LOL!
Kathy, that sure is an ugly catepillar! Did you get rid of it?
Glad to see you finally found us again.
LK
Thanks everyone! I feel like a new woman right now. Between the chiro and the massage therapist I may live after all. I swear I am going to take it easy tomorrow. I still have plants that need to come in, but I think they will be safe until Sunday.
Gumbo for me please! I'm getting ready to make some sweet potato soup for dinner. I'll let you know if it turns out. They had the most gorgeous new crop sweet potatoes at the beach and I had to have some.
Talk to you all later,
J
Happy Birthday Juanita!
Good morning!
Looks like everyone's busy last night. I hope it's busy having fun.
For me, I was trapped with a migraine headache and work up to a very challenging day.... migraine didn't go away.
Can migraines give you bad dreams?
Still no time for it to stop me from getting more buttons for the towels.
I'm a little off course for this one. Will be finished by tonight, while watching football....
Sis... Go 'Bama.
Geaux LSU!!
Errrr.. too hot for gumbo unfortunately. It was registering 100 yesterday! Think it's gonna be just plain ole sandwiches and Kel's staples... potato chips. God bless American housewives for thinking of easy lunches and dinners!!
So, here's coffee for you ladies and glazed doughnuts!
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Oh wow Cindy! That's a beautiful picture! What flowers will you be transplanting?
Trisha, are you through with the irises? Did you plant some around your water feature.
It's hitting the 90's here, supposedly some scattered showers. Not banking on it. So, I'll be off soon for that Saturday shopping and hope to be home before the game.
Cya later ladies.
I have to sneak this in quietly but Go Tigers! LOL Don't want to really offend my Gator buddies.
Well today Kim and I are rearranging the utility room and throwing out some things no longer useful or needed. Painting baseboards that just got put in and then we will watch the 'Noles tonight. Have a good day all.
Thanks for coffee & doughnuts Jaye, just what I needed to get going.
Everyone is having very hot weather and it is cool here, how about that for a change. Good day for digging in the dirt. Pain pill worked yesterday and think another is due today. Need a body replacement right about now.
No football for me, but DH is always glued to the TV set. He better get the tarp put up over the canopy before we do see rain. Don't know who procrastinates more me or him.
Hot weather sounds sooo good I am Freezing!! Only supposed to hit the mid fifties today. I would even be happy with a good hard rain.
As for the Iris...most went into the Iris bed in back....the three named ones are in the new front bed next to the drive.
Have to go down to the shop soon and pick up some things Bill wants to bring home...he rode his bike to work.
Hope you all enjoy your afternoon...I will check in later.
omygosh - I lost y'all! And couldn't read all the thread, but I did catch:
Happy belated Birthday Juanita!!
Marion - glad your mom's coming home - albeit a bit weak.....
Jaye - what a wonderful sewing/quilting store to trade off your "broken" sewing machine with a new one!
I know that there are tons of things I missed, but I hope everyone is doing well today.......
I went to a funeral yesterday, to be in the choir (cuz the lady was a past choir member) and all her retired choir members came, too! Wow - what a choir! For a change, they drowned ME out LOL good thing!
anyway - we were a choir of about 25, instead of our usual (full) choir of 9! They knocked my socks off, they were soooooo good! I took the afternoon off work (because of my previous long hours), so I could go, and I'm glad I did.
Today I'm working on a banner for the church, and Bob's Finally putting away the camping gear lol The banner is Luke 11:3 - "Give us our food - Lord - Day, by Day"
I've offered to do a solo tomorrow, too. Sheri & Jeff Easter's "Thank you Lord". Here's hoping the choir director & pastor accept my offer.........
Oh yeah, and doing the Tote lol
Then it's on to the Apron Swap.....
~Susan~
Thanks Trish
Beautiful fall colour in that tree!
Look here Pegi.. when you found out how you could replace most body parts without any invasive surgery, let me know please. First to be replaced... my brains :D
Susan!! There you are!!! Thought you're just too busy with all that work.
Next time when we talk, I'd sure would love to hear you sing.
Bet the church will take up on your offer ;)
We have a very very small choir. But there's an awesome soprano that mermerize us each time she sings.
It's homecoming at church tomorrow. We went ahead and ordered 25 orders of chicken wings. I could cook, but since I just got over whatever I had....
Thank you Trisha! That's so awesome! I just love fall and its' regal colors.
Hello everyone! No sewing here today, just taking it easy. Nice here at about 80 degrgees, not too hot, or cold! Todd has burgers on the grill, and they smell so good.
Susan, I know your pastor will enjoy your singing, as will the whole congregation!
Trisha, thanks for the beautiful fall colors, It sure is pretty!
Have a good n ight everyone!
LK

I tried calling you when you were so sick, and missed you each time....
I miss talking to you.
~Susan~
Oh Jaye, you have that one right. Go Tigers and 'Noles. Off to watch the game and do some handwork.

Good night ladies :(
Morning ladies.. Coffe is on thank to my mom..
Wont be around much this comming week since my mom flew in yesterday but will try to check in..
Hope all is well
Huggs
Donna
Morning everyone.
Donna, tell your Mom, thanks for the coffee!
Morning Ladies,
Mom and I covered our motorhome yesterday for the winter. I almost fell, was up on the ladder and it tipped over. There I was a hanging from the motorhome yelling for mom to get the ladder back under me, lol. Today my butt muscles are sore and I have bruises all over the fronts of my legs. Good thing i don't have to bowl today, but mom does and she says her right arm hurts.
I cancelled my date with Steve for today. Got tired of all of his excuses this past week so I'm going to let him stew for a few days, lol. He has already sent me 8 text messages saying he misses me and wants to know when we will see each other again. Now I have a whole week to wait for my date with Dave, gawd it's going to be a looooooooooooong week ^_^. Luckily I have lots to keep me busy.
Does any one know where I can find a quick list for butterfly plants? I have a section of the new garden that is going to be for butterflies and will put my new house there that i got from Trishann in the 3 B-House swap.
Heading back outside to hopfully finish before races start.
Good Morning all!
I like your thinking, Cindy. Steve needs to stew for a while. LOL Be carefull of ladders, I'm more concerned now than ever about falling. No one needs broken bones. I can fall just tripping over my own feet. Very cool day, so far. Should get out and do some work. DH needs to cut a little more of that darn vine in back and then it all will be down as least for a little while. Just wish it would give up growing. Better get the tarp up before we do get some rain.
Oh, I do love to see all those beautiful colored leaves of fall. Too bad there aren't too many trees around here that will give a colorful display.
